By asking the right questions beyond the doctor’s description/prescription, she was able to set up a combination of exercises and manual therapy to alleviate pain in my knee while taking into consideration long-standing issues I’ve had with my hip. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, my whole experience start to finish was very positive.

Expérience fantastique: Peter Johnson is an unusually talented practitioner - right away he understood the cause of my toe/foot pain, and prescribed a regimen of therapy and exercises that yielded rapid improvement. After my third session with him, Peter said 'goodbye' - i.e. that I was equipped to continue my therapy by doing the exercises at home, without the need for further visits. That means he's an honest guy, too! Before I found Peter, I struggled with this injury and had consulted with three other practitioners with little to no avail.

Expérience fantastique: I love BodyCo! I’ve been seeing Tara Campbell for several years for physiotherapy. She treated my back issues and then I subsequently saw her during pregnancy and postpartum. She’s amazing! So smart and knowledgeable and listens to all of your concerns. I also took my 6 year old to see her after a ski injury and Tara was so kind and fun and my child loves going to appointments. I also took the postpartum fitness class with Pieta and they were great!

Expérience négative: I need physiotherapy but after reading the review about their policy I’m going elsewhere. I have had massage therapy here and it was ok. It’s upsetting that a health and wellness org doesn’t show compassion in the event that a person gets sick with a fever and cannot reschedule without a huge penalty. This policy encourages people to come in sick to avoid the penalty and that just makes everyone sick. Pass.

Expérience fantastique: April Boultbee RMT is a caring and talented massage therapist. She has helped me overcome a number of injuries, and managed to loosen up my frozen shoulder to the point where I have full range of motion and no pain. I highly recommend her.

Expérience négative: Body Co. prioritizes profit and policy before wellness and client retention. I became ill the day of my appointment, and when I tried to rebook, I was told I would be charged half the session fee for rebooking. I had previously gone to the practice for massage, physio, and chiro for three years. My options were to come in sick, or pay up. Not a policy that is reflective of a so called wellness clinic. There are so many clinics like this one in the Junction that are less expensive, and wont charge you ridiculous rebooking fees.

Expérience fantastique: Peter Johnson is an excellent massage therapist and chiropractor and explains the issues clearly. I got more relief from 45 minutes with him than with an hour massage and an hour chiropractic treatement with other practitioners.

Expérience fantastique: Peter is fantastic. Does an exceptional job explaining his treatment plan and what he's doing or about to do. Being both a RMT and Chiropractor is real bonus.

Expérience fantastique: Tara helped me realize my active life was not over! After I developed plantar fasciitis that lingered for ten months, I had to change activities and encountered other problems as my body adjusted. Consulting Tara was the best thing I could have done. She helped me manage my weight training and showed me a magic dance step that would get my kneecap tracking properly so that I wasn’t afraid to use it. Treatments leave me feeling more capable. Though I don’t really need her anymore, it’s great to know I can get help or even some maintenance when I need it. I don’t know if this is standard for physiotherapy but the progress from painful and buckling osteoarthritic knee to normal squats with weights feels miraculous. I’m so thankful for this gifted practitioner!

Expérience fantastique: I have been seeing chiropractor Peter Johnston for many years (15 at least), first he was my RMT (excellent) and now me and my entire family see him.

Expérience négative: Staff was great, but BEWARE THE COST if you think your insurance will cover it! This clinic charges 165% (approaching 2x!!) of reasonable and customary rates for a 1hr physiotherapy appointment, which is mandatory, leaving me unexpectedly $65 out of pocket. I was unsatisfied with this surprise and did not understand what I was agreeing to pay when I signed up because my work benefits are supposed to cover 100% of physiotherapy costs up to $2500/yr. As I was unable to easily absorb the unexpected cost, I asked the business owner to make things right for me with a refund of the uncovered amount based on financial need and my ignorance of the situation. Typically a reputable business will refund someone who is unsatisfied or who did not understand the costs. She could have earned a grateful return customer for the low price of $65, instead she chose to alienate me by telling me to read the fine print, kept the $65, and earned their first bad review. Seems like an awfully small hill to die on... I hope it was worth it. Don't spend it all in one place now...

She was thorough in the initial assessment, and provided a helpful set of exercises to treat my hip pain. She's a good listener, and a committed physiotherapist, I'll definitely return if I need more treatment.

After herniating a disc in my low back (with a toddler and an active 85lb. dog at home), I benefited from a 95% reduction in pain and complete return to mobility in 4 weeks. Seeing Peter (chiro) and Andrew (osteo) at Body Co. brought me back to the active lifestyle I was used to. I would recommend the Body Co. team to anyone looking for a supportive and collaborative care team - this whole team is fantastic!

Getting massages has helped me a lot to relax. Roger is also very helpful at offering Suggestions of ways to help manage the pain and he provides me different stretches to do. Not to mention, he is just a really likeable person and makes you feel comfortable.

Expérience fantastique: I have been visiting Body Co. both during my pregnancy and postpartum for pelvic floor physio with Liseanne. I also attended many sessions of prenatal fitness with Kathleen. I am thankful for the guidance and treatments I received to prepare me for labour and delivery. I am so thankful that I am equipped with the knowledge of how important pre and postnatal pelvic floor physiotherapy is. I have received treatment that has undoubtedly helped my recovery and has been provided with the utmost care and attention to detail. I feel truly supported and would not be where I am without treatment. My newborn son is also receiving osteopathy treatment from Andrew and this has made a tremendous help in getting his body functioning optimally. I cannot thank and recommend all the practitioners and staff at Body Co. enough!

Liseanne immediately put me at ease and gave me some hope alongside the tools I needed to recover and stay healthy. The space and front desk staff are also very welcoming. Overall a lovely place to heal!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about her and how she works. I've gone from limping down the street with two horrible ankles(both broken with metal plates) to walking normally with only minimal pain, in a few short weeks. She's able to explain everything to me in terms which I can understand, give me simple exercises which I'm able to do at home, and most importantly, you can tell that she really cares about her profession and her patients due to her happy demeanor. I would again recommend Body Co, Isha and Melanie to anyone looking to recover fully from an injury! Melanie was great! She was able to ease my anxiety by explaining everything that she was doing with my recovering ankles. Having now received multiple treatments from Roger, I can't imagine going to anyone else. He has a genuine interest in optimizing everyday body mechanics, in addition to addressing the more acute musculoskeletal issues you may present with. As a nurse, I've so appreciated his holistic approach to body mechanics and I, unabashedly, love the little head massage that finishes treatments!

Eden has been working with me during COVID on my tendinitis and wrist/forearm strain/pinched nerves. She is extremely attentive and works to ensure that my pain is reduced and diminishes over time. She encourages me to do my exercises and hopes that one day I will not require her services, she is amazing! I highly recommend her as a physiotherapist! She also does acupuncture as well! Overall, not only is Eden pleasant, the other staff from the receptionists to other therapists are so friendly! Of all the wellness Center I have been to in the area I really enjoy the overall service here! Their booking system is also easy to navigate and organized. The office is quite large which you don't expect, very long and has many offices for all the services offered. There are no on site parking but plenty of street parking :)
