Fairlawn Physiotherapy is a midtown multidisciplinary clinic located near Yonge and Lawrence. In addition to physiotherapy, our clinic offers registered massage therapy, chiropody, Pilates, dietitian, and acupuncture services to a wide range of patient age groups. Expérience fantastique: I have been seeing Tazim at the Fairlawn Physiotherapy for all my physio needs for the last few years and she has always helped me. I never tried massage here having someone I see for massages regularly elsewhere. This time, for upper back and shoulder injury, I decided to see Cory for a massage as a complement to my physio sessions with Tazim. I would never go to anyone else if I need massage therapy again. Cory identified trigger points which I didn't even know existed and which are linked to the pain I experience in my upper back. This is not a "feel good massage". This is a modality of health care like I have not experienced before. Cory's massage has long lasting effect. It actually releases pain. If you need massage therapy for more than relaxation, for actual health care, I would definitely recommend Cory at the Fairlawn Physiotherapy.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been coming to this clinic for 10 years. Amazing staff, helpful friendly and knowledgeable. I have had physio, chiropody and massage treatments. All are good! Feb 15 I walked to the clinic and was delighted to see that they had cleared the snow from the cub to the door. Well done! Many more businesses can take a lesson from this!

She is kind, super friendly, and her sessions have definitely helped me. After a sports injury, my shin and knee are now in perfect condition thanks to her treatment. Expérience fantastique: I recently went to see Alison Chow, Chiropodist, and found her to be exceptionally knowledgeable. She quickly and accurately determined the issues causing my foot discomfort. There was no feeling of being rushed; she took the time to thoroughly explain my individual foot mechanics and answer my questions. Alison recommended a remedy, and I left with the knowledge of what to look for in future footwear.

Expérience fantastique: I have gone to three physiotherapists after being hit by a car, and Debita at Fairlawn physio was by far the most knowledgeable and helpful professional. She showed me many different knee exercises in a short amount of time. I was visiting from out of town, but she worked hard to maximize our time together, and even sent follow up videos to help me continue physio at home. I heard about Fairlawn physiotherapy through word of mouth because others also had really good experiences here. Would definitely recommend!!

Expérience fantastique: Chiropractor Josie Ward is performing wonders on my shoulder and upper arm with a multidisciplinary approach. I've received soft tissue therapy, chiropractic adjustments, and most gratefully, acupuncture, which worked for me years earlier in Brooklyn. What luck to have found a licensed Chiropractor with acupuncture in her toolkit; acupuncture alone is not covered under our company's health benefits--I've recommended Dr. Ward to three colleagues so far... My arm/shoulder no longer seized up the morning after my initial consultation, and now three treatments later, Dr. Ward--kind, caring, always clearly explaining--has given me more corrective exercises. On the road to recovery, my shoulder aches much less while my arm strengthens. I always look forward to the next visit. And o, yes, the cheerful admin team is super helpful and submits my claim for me on my way out... THANK YOU, Fairlawn Physiotherapy!

Expérience fantastique: I came in to see Tazim because of severe pain in my lower back. I could barely walk or bend over. Tazim quickly assessed the problem and began physiotherapy with me. Her first priority was to lessen the pain. Then she taught me some exercises to do at home and gave me more gradually. She always stresses that you should go easy and be mindful of any pain. Within a couple of weeks I was 100 per cent better. In the past, Tazim has also helped me with shoulder and knee issues. She is the best. The office is well run and efficient. I wholeheartedly recommend Fairlawn.

Je suis a présent avec une autre thérapeute c'est le centre qui me le recommandée. Elle s appelle Jennifer Austin. Pour être franche j étais sceptique car c est une jeune fille qui n a pas beaucoup d expérience. Après 2 ou 3 séances j’étais agréablement surprise de son travail, son professionnalisme, sa gentillesse. Elle essaye toujours de nouveaux exercices pour soulager mes douleurs. Elle est toujours a l écoute et pose des questions pour mon état de santé afin d'améliorer ma condition médicale . Je suis extrêmement ravie et je la félicite pour son excellent travail. Expérience fantastique: Je me fais soigner depuis quelques mois apres un accident de travail. Apres quelques mois ils ont demenagé pas loin de yonge. Ils etaient au 3340 et on demenagé au 3317. C'est un excellent endroit tres spacieux, tres bien decoré on se croirait chez soi. Le personnel est extraordinaire en commencant par les secretaires qui sont gentilles , souriantes et surtout professionnelle. Je me fais soigner chez Egda la physiotherapeute, pour le massage cest Tanya et egalemlent Tazim pour commotion. Elles sont toutes exceptionnelles et c'est la meme chose pour tout le personnel. C'est tres rare de trouver une place ou tout le personnel est gentil, a l ecoute et surtout tres professionnel. Mon état s'ameliore doucement mais ce n est pas a cause de leur travail mais a cause que mon etat demande du temps. Je suis tellement contente de me faire soigner a cet endroit. Je vous le recommande vivement si vous arrive a trouver une place il ne faut pas hésiter. Merci a tout le personnel pour tout le travail que v ous faites et pour le sourire qui nous remonte le moral. I can’t say enough good things about this team. Gina’s Pilates classes are amazing - I’ve been doing them twice per week for over a year now and my core is so much stronger and my back issues have diminished a lot.

She completed a pressure and needle test on my sister (who is blind) for neuropathy in her feet and explained carefully the condition of her feet and possible complications from diabetes. Then she trimmed her toenails and cut away the problem toenail without pain. Finally she moisturized my sister's feet. All in all a great visit.

Expérience fantastique: I have utilized both Physiotherapy (Edga) and Massage Therapy ( Tanya, Marina) over the past two years and offer Kudos to all. Edga correctly suspected a physical ailment which my doctor passed on to a specialist. The specialist diagnosed the ailment that Edga suspected and I was 80% pain free in 6 hours after suffering for two weeks prior! (You’re probably wondering what the ailment was) Subsequent treatment of Massage therapy by Tanya resolved any remaining physical issues. A side benefit was learning how to avoid time share salespeople while on vacation during our many conversations during treatment. Finally, I have to praise Marina’s expertise in relieving the excruciating back pain from a pulled muscle when my 53lb dog (and best bud) decided to move rapidly in a direction I was not heading until his leash showed me otherwise. Marina has several times exceeded my time limit in order to finish up my treatment and I really appreciate the gesture. And finally, Ann at the front desk always has a smile ( I’m assuming this as her eyebrows raise behind her mask). She ensures that all Covid safety protocols are adhered to and always contacts me if there is any change that I should be aware of. These are the four individuals that I have interacted with here but I’m confident that all the other individuals here are just as competent. If you ever need Physio or Massage therapy, look no further. You’re home.

Expérience fantastique: Tazim is a great human being who happens to be a great physiotherapist. She solves the aches and pains, focuses the rehab on exercises and stretches you will do and does not give you the large list of items. Even when you are grumpy she will get a laugh out of you and you walk out of there, if not on a cloud, at least less achy and painy with a smile on your face.

Expérience fantastique: Just went for 1st visit since Covid...I felt extremely safe, there was only 1 other patient and I was able to walk right through to the treatment room. Alison took great care with all the Covid precautions and my treatment was professionally and comfortably done. Pain at toe nails was relieved. Staff knew I was extremely Covid Cautious and I appreciated their extra care and concern. Top rated in professionalism, client care and general compassion.

Expérience fantastique: I have been using the services of Tazim Dhanani for many years. She has worked her magic on me more than once, having successfully treated me for tennis elbow, shoulder and knee issues. She has also done excellent work with my parents who have age related health issues as in their 80's. Tazim has great people skills and genuinely cares about all of her patients. She is very engaging and you will find your session goes by quickly as you are sometimes in a continuous and very interesting conversation with her about your every day life and happenings. Clinic is very conveniently located on Yonge Street with lots of street and side road parking in the area. Things run very efficiently here. Leah and Anne at reception always give you a warm welcome and the wait times are minimal.

Expérience fantastique: Got hit by a car two years ago, going to chiropractor ever since, lots of pain in knees, hips and ankles. Nothing was working. Went to visit, Alison, for new orthotics. The minute I started wearing them. No more pain. It was all gone. Waited three weeks, and called to have a second pair made. The orthotics corrected whatever was out of alignment immediately. Miracle worker, well maybe not, but very good at what they do there. I have already recommended Fairlawn to my friends and colleagues. If you need help with your feet, body and mind, this is the place to go. Changed the quality of my daily life in a day.
Expérience fantastique: I initially started physiotherapy at Fairlawn Physiotherapy due to a frozen shoulder that was a result from having the shingles. This was my first time seeing a physiotherapist. From the very first visit, I felt very comfortable with the professional service. I was treated by Tazim Dhanani a registered physiotherapist and owner of Fairlawn Physiotherapy and was impressed with how quickly my shoulder improved. Each visit consisted of a thorough assessment of the mobility and condition of my shoulder injury followed by some exercises. Tazim recommended massage as well as exercise and since then I have had regular massage sessions with Sarah Henriques, a registered massage therapist at the clinic. I have also had a foot assessment with Alison Chow the registered chiropodist at Fairlawn. I have since attended physio sessions for a fractured ankle and my experience has been the same, quality therapy. The staff at Fairlawn Physiotherapy has helped me tremendously. The staff are all very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I have recommended Fairlawn to several friends, coworkers, and family members. If you're in need of a quality physiotherapist, chiropodist or massage therapist in the Yonge/York Mills area, look no further!
Expérience fantastique: Had a great experience with Fairlawn Physio (not that I wanted it, but sometimes you have no choice!). When I broke my wrist, I needed to find a physio clinic that would take WSIB (and the resulting administrative burden - many clinics do not). The therapists at Fairlawn were great - both the physio and the massage. Thorough, professional, friendly, accommodating and flexible re: appointments. What more could you want?! Would not hesitate to recommend.
Expérience négative: I went to Fairlawn on yonge about 6 months ago. At the time I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (due to unexplained neurological pains) and repetitive strain in my right wrist. I was training for a fitness competition and was incredibly active and fit so had acquired some injuries. I went to see Laura Stewart there and explained that my hips had been burning for over a year and they were stiff. I also mentioned that my dr had told me that I had repetitive strain but did little to help me so it kept reoccurring. I also mentioned that I was now having low back and pelvic pain as though I was always on my period and had been through 6 months of pelvic physiotherapy to get my pelvic muscles to relax. Laura told me that it was all fibromyalgia (including the hips, wrist and low back) and told me to just exercise lightly and stretch daily which I already did. WELL it TURNS OUT SHE WAS WRONG! Very very wrong. After a few $90 sessions I walked away with no answers and found out a few months later in the emergency room that I had calcific tendinitis in my hip!!! That almost never happens...it literally takes years of tendinitis in the hips to develop this. I ALSO found out I had endometriosis and will need more pelvic physiotherapy and a surgery soon. The new dr and specialist that I am seeing have both told me that they are not convinced I even have fibromyalgia. Moral of the story is that a physiotherapist should KNOW if you have tendinitis and repetitive strain ESPECIALLY from doing sports. I have now gone to a real physiotherapist who knows what they are doing and have helped me tremendously with my hips. P.S. DONT EVER miss an appointment they will CHARGE YOU
