I really feel comfortable when talking to him because he takes time to explain and to find a better solution for my health issues. Expérience négative: This is the absolute worst office. You can't speak to anyone on the phone, and it's extremely difficult to ask a question or reschedule an appointment. They are not accessible or responsive. They rescheduled my appointment to two months later, leaving me in the middle of treatment and needing to speak with a doctor. The entire process is disorganize-very frustrating to be a patient here.

Expérience fantastique: There can be no better clinic in Toronto for diabetes care than LMC. In my opinion Dr. Aronson has unparalleled experience and knowledge of the condition, as well as the ability to select the best medications to address it. At the same time he promotes a healthy lifestyle, without lecturing or blaming. The follow-up is excellent, the front office staff are both friendly and competent. Departments such as Chiropody and Pharmacy have amazing people who not only look after you but educate you too. I really hate writing such a glowing review as I would rather the clinic didn’t get any more crowded, but it’s just simply the best run clinic I have ever attended. For anything!

Expérience négative: I went for the first time to see Dr A. Abitbol for my hypothyroidism. At first he was nice and welcoming but as I asked him some questions about my condition for learning more about what I have and what's the prognosis. He said" you are not here to teach me you are hear to learn" or something like that. I was shocked. I said " I am ASKING not teaching". Mind you I am a very polite person and I do not Interrupt anyone and I would rather listen then speak. I found him extremely rude, with a lack of empathy and any interest in making the patient aware and well informed about his/her condition. I left in tears. It was extremely unpleasant for me. I will be changing my endocrinologist the first chance I get!

Rachel, the receptionist is a true asset to the clinic, as she is highly professional, very approachable and superbly thorough. Dr. Tajalli is a very rare Doctor with excellent chair side manners, extremely patient and approachable, takes his time with a very lengthy examination, very compassionate, eager to explain the results of his examination, with a sense of humour, lightening up the atmosphere, all in all an unforgettable experience. He treats his patients with respect and consideration for the person you are and not just a number in his schedule. He is an inspiration for the medical profession. I wish, I would have the same experience with other health professionals. Many applauses, gratitude and appreciation for this incredible team. Expérience négative: I am on the fence about this place - have had some poor experiences with both the medical staff and the admin - I have found the doctors relatively competent even though their procedure actually hurt me more than actually helping me. Also very condescending to both me and other medical professionals - seem to be missing the customer service quality in their practice. It is extremely difficult to get someone on the phone to answer very straightforward questions

Expérience négative: I went to this hospital with my neighbour who had problem speaking in english and I used to translate for her. We both had kids and no one was at home to take care of our kids so we brought them with us. In the hospital they told us the kids are not allowed in the hospital. It didn’t make sense for me. When a single mother is sick so she shouldn’t be at this hospital because of her kids.

Expérience négative: My experience with LMC Diabetes Center has been really frustrating. They canceled my appointment three times last year, each time with a different excuse. Even when I called 24 hours before to confirm, they said everything was fine. I still drove all the way from Barrie, only to find out the appointment was canceled again. On top of that, they now have a ridiculous rule where they charge you for medication refills. I called just to get some information, and they told me I had to register on their patient portal. I did what they asked, and now there’s a $335 charge on my account! The waiting times are also terrible. If your appointment is at 1 PM, expect to sit there for more than two hours. Dr. Arsenon is amazing—he’s super knowledgeable and kind. But the staff? They’re incredibly rude. When I called with some questions, one of the ladies told me I was asking too many questions and actually hung up on me. Honestly, beware of this place. The staff is rude, and the management is awful. Beware of this clinic. The staff’s attitude and the poor management make it a very unpleasant place to deal with.

Expérience négative: I am newly diagnosed and my experience has been very unhelpful to say the least. Dr. Tajalli is very focused in his work and is not willing to answer any questions during the procedure. I have been ignored a couple times and when I do get an answer I am always cut off mid question and he begins to answer a question that wasn’t even my question to begin with. If he had only took the time to listen to me and let me speak then he would’ve been able to actually hear what I was confused about. On top of that he comes off very passive aggressive and cold. I was very physically in pain as I have very dry eyes and he showed no signs of empathy whatsoever. I have never experienced this lack of care before in any clinic. It was almost belittling. I left my appointment feeling more lost than ever. I will definitely not be returning. I very rarely leave a negative review but my experience has been so negatively impactful that it has driven me to do so.

Expérience fantastique: Always very pleasant to see Dr. Aronson and have my concerns addressed. I appreciate the fact that he took the time to advise me that I should speak to my accountant about the Disability tax credit for Type 1 diabetes. Expérience positive: I was surprised that checking in was done on a tablet and I was a bit concerned to have to use my own fingers to type. A card reader would be a healthier option, however the check in worked well and my appointment was found and I was seen without any issues.

Expérience positive: This is a very busy and over worked location. Perhaps due to its' proximity to Sunnybrook Hospital or its' midtown location. for which ever reason , I advise you that patience will be necessary if you wish to become one of the regular patients. I have found that the adage "Good things come to those who wait" is particularly applicable here as LMC Bayview has some of the best Doctors , Diabetes Educators and Dieticians available in Ontario's overburdened health system.

Expérience fantastique: Dr. Melissa Skuy is an honest delight to work with as your chiropodist. Very insightful and approachable, she knows how to reach out to your needs and accommodate where possible. Front desk staff are also friendly and knowledgeable. Less busy during early morning appointments. Something to be cognizant of, for anyone interested in orthotics, to bring your daily shoe wear for a more accurate assessment and time saver.

Expérience négative: I'm disappointed at how long a patient had to wait. I take my dad here for his scheduled diabetic appointments every now and then. Even though our appointment was scheduled at 2:10 pm, we had to wait an hour to get his vitals checked, let alone see the doctor. Most of us work and take time off work to get to appointments. Doctors or organizers need to learn how to handle time spent with a patient and not make patients wait. I had to extend my work leave. Not professional or organized. Parking is expensive, and instead of making it free for patients, we have to pay. Management is lacking severely. Don't ask patients to make appointments if they are not kept within 15 mins of the appointed time. Trying to get many patients scheduled tightly is not helpful. And if you do, then try to maintain a visit time.

Expérience négative: I have tried to get a standard follow up x-ray requisition from my long-time endocrinologist for the past few days. I have exchanged literally 14, FOURTEEN emails with the front office person who is obviously so incredibly incompetent that she is not able to read and comprehend even the simplest email. I have left 3 email messages for the clinic manager to call me and he hasn't. I have never had such poor medical service in my entire life

Today I had an appointment at 4:10 pm and I waited for more than 50 minutes extra but still could not see her. She is not a professional l person. Please do not waste your time with LMC.

Expérience négative: ATTN: LMC Diabetes. Bayview. Like many others I too have had a negative experience with this office. This is an excerpt from my latest email to the "Virtual Medical office Admin." I did indeed try to contact the office well in advance of the appointment time, but was unable to reach anyone through the phone, neither was I able to leave a message. I tried several times to do this, and each time, there was NO WAY to LEAVE a MESSAGE. I maintain that I DID TRY TO CONTACT THE OFFICE WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE 24 HOUR CANCELATION POLICY, AGAIN, SEVERAL TIMES. I am WELL AWARE of such policies given how MANY DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS I had at your clinic. Might I also note, that this was my FIRST missed appointment in SEVERAL YEARS of being a patient with LMC. I think it is extremely unethical the way in which I have been responded to regarding this matter. In my many different doctor's visits I have never been treated this way. Further, I am confounded that no mention has been made by YOU regarding my INABILITY TO REACH THE OFFICE BY PHONE, OR TO RESPOND TO MY REQUEST TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE OVER THE PHONE REGARDING THIS MATTER (it could have saved us all a lot of time and email chains), nor that there is no signature given in the email address (to whom am I speaking?). I am aware that LMC is one of the largest endocrinology centers in the GTA, and probably in the Province of Ontario. This is NO EXCUSE for POOR PATIENT CARE. I feel deeply betrayed by this office, and its poor management. I had heard from other endocrinologists before registering with LMC that LMC was only interested in making money. Given the way that this has played out, I am unfortunately inclined to agree with them. I recognize that the tone of this email sounds as if I am victimizing myself in this situation. $70 may not seem like a lot of money for a missed appointment. However, given the situation, the fact that I did try several times to call the office to reschedule, and the subsequent responses that I have received, especially concerning the total radio silence over why I was unable to reach anyone on the phone, I am deeply troubled by the way I have been treated, and by the way the situation has been handled. I worry about the others who have also been put through this un-due stress.

Expérience négative: Dr. Alexander Abitbol is a great doctor when it comes to pay attention and listen to patients he knows what he's talking about but when it comes to emergency calls he is the "WORST" my sugar level started to skyrocket "FAST" while recovering from COVID kept on calling message after message every one daying is an emergency days after one of his nurses call me just to tell me what doctor already told me on last visit which has nothing to do with emergency call abut my sugar level skyrocketing upt to more 16.0 less yhan 17.0 after talking to nirse and telling him that I wanted to talk to him directly he still didn't answer my emergency calls end up having to go to hospital to emergency to get my sugar level down cause I was "NOT" feeling good. "WAY TO GO DOCTOR WITH YOUR "PROFESSIONALISM"...NOT" now making a complaint against him on CPSO if I could give a -200 rating I would.

Was waiting on a phone appointment which I never got the call, I emailed the office to say i’m waiting. No response, next morning I received an email saying I missed my appointment. Try to contact anyone, oh wait ya email them. Lack of professionalism, this is a medical facility that's not patient focused

Expérience négative: I HAVE LEARNED ABOUT MY CONDITION MORE FROM TIKTOK UNIVERSITY. I’m angry, only because I know there are people in worse conditions who wait months & months for these doctors who are paid to do absolutely nothing— & who have very little experience or knowledge or even care. I’d already been having phone conversations with this ‘endocrin specialist’ for two years during COVID— when meeting him for the first time in person, he re-diagnosed me as if we didn’t know my diagnosis & proceeded to tell me the most basic facts about it… which have been established for long. Then proceeded to do nothing. When telling him of my symptoms/ problems he just kept saying ‘if I could tell you the number of times I hear that everyday, we wouldn’t be here’ I was shocked— because why are you not providing a real solution or even pretend to, if this is a regular hurdle for people? He then proceeded to tell me the most outdated thing, which is ‘I would prescribe you birth control, but if you’re trying to conceive that’s not the way obviously…’ based on my own research— I have learned that doctors try to prescribe birth control to patients with pcos but it’s not the way & it is more harmful in the long run. He basically sat there & did absolutely nothing. Again, I have learned more about how to regulate my PCOS & with it my cycles from TIKTOK than this man even knows about. What a waste of time & resources. Don’t wait for Dr. Steen. Go do your own research & perhaps look into holistic practices & medicine. As someone with PCOS— what’s helped me regulate my cycles myself has been acupuncture, supplements & exercise. Doctor Steen didn’t do zilch.

They have implemented a online only appointment program which is absolutely ridiculous as many patients lack the necessary skills and equipment to facilitate this. They have the audacity to charge for missed appointments even when you try to call and cancel . Expérience négative: I have been waiting for 3 weeks to be able to talk to someone, the telephone options they give you are not enough or in no case do they let you talk to someone about your queries, problems or doubts, that is a terrible service! I canceled my visit because I would not arrive on time due to my work schedule, I canceled it through the email they send as a reminder and I asked my wife if she could call to be sure that they had canceled it and if they could give me new appointment shortly. The answer is 0 and on top of that I receive an email saying that I did not cancel and I have to pay a fee. I've been trying to get in touch for 3 weeks, nothing on facebook, nothing on twitter, and they answer emails every 3 days just worrying about paying for something I did correctly. If you read this, please contact me, I am also trying to change the location to have it closer to work and not have to cancel the visits.

Expérience négative: I needed to do a refill of my thyroid medication because I do not have a thyroid and was waiting since 2PM for 6 hours on the phone to talk to a CSR and when my turn was #3 this organization hung up on me. My endocrinologist was on vacation and my family doctor too so I needed to talk to the doctor on call at LMC healthcare but now I will not get my meds since the pharmacy cannot renew it unless I get a doctor to approve it or they will charge me to do a refill which otherwise will cost me pennies. TERRIBLE service, why did you not mention that you will only provide service until 8PM and not to all those in the queue that were waiting for hours.

Expérience fantastique: LMC, I am taken care of by this clinic for past 5 years. My experience has been positive. I got access to all new medications that might not be widely available. They are the expert. I feel blessed to be with LMC.

Expérience négative: The new delivery service for pharmacy is bad. Ordered at 10 AM Thursday December 2nd delivery did not arrive past 5 PM. Called pharmacy they are closed until Monday December 6. Way too long to wait to see what has happened to your prescription order.

Expérience négative: Got a referral to this clinic late September 2021. Received a call from the clinic a week later for an appointment on Aug 2 2022! 10 month of wait time. What a joke. In what other industry do you get to treat your clients this terribly and stay in business. This is socialized medicine for you. Consuming billions of tax payer dollars while delivery the minimum level of service.

Expérience négative: We've been a patient of Dr. Grossman for several years and I just had to write this review because our experiences have been mostly awful. First and foremost: acquiring an appointment, and actually having the opportunity to see through with it, is nearly impossible. I would have an easier time flying to the moon. Our appointments are continously canceled or pushed back several months. If it isn't one of his many vacations, or other such justifications, then it is the staff that have booked an in clinic appointment, only for us to arrive there and claim that the appointment was by phone because the doctor isn't in today. Mind you, with no prior notice. Secondly, the overall experience when you are actually able to see the doctor isn't a positive one either. A severe lack of empathy and disinterest from the doctor is constantly shown. You would think that a patient with cysts in their neck would require monitoring or tests every so often. Our time there has been so unfortunately negative that we've now taken it upon ourselves to find a new endocrinologist as we won't be returning.

Expérience fantastique: Pleasant experience visiting our clinic. This is a very professionally managed clinic. I was new to Canada and was looking for an endocrinologist . Its been a very good experience with Dr. Steen who is very good and highly knowledgeable and i have seen improvements in my blood sugar control. Dr. Carmen is also very knowledgeable and approachable anytime whenever there is any concern. She makes sure she understands all the concerns and helped a lot in managing my diabetes. Doctors are extremely punctual.

Expérience négative: Not sure how they got my info but I got an email saying I had an appointment with them on July 6th, 2021. I’ve never heard of this place, nor do I have diabetes or made the appointment. Called and told them what happened, the guy put me on hold for 15 minutes and insisted that I make the appointment. I told them that I never made this appointment, I don’t know this place or have diabetes. He put me on hold and again and said that the last time was there was in 2017.l with a Dr.Grossman, never heard of that doctor before. Didn’t even give me the exact date. I know for sure that was not me because I was on maternity leave in 2017 and barely left the house. Only time was to take my daughter to her appointment.

Expérience négative: Unfortunately my experience as a patient was disappointing - I relocated to BC from Ontario 5 days before my routine appointment (I had my A1c test done before I left as per usual so my results were ready for my doctor) When I was contacted for the pre appointment questionnaire I updated my address with the nurse - she rang me back saying the doctor won't be doing my phone call appointment because I wasn't located in Ontario - so I asked can I at least get my test results and would i be able to get referred to someone so I could have access to my prescription - the nurse contacted me again and said no because again the doctor said I was not in Ontario anymore, I was literally given zero options - instead I got emailed my results which made no sense to me and was told to google a doctor in BC.... the nurse was apologetic and tried to be helpful but was simply passing on the doctors message. I completely understand I would need to find a new doctor but considering I had my blood test done in Ontario and all my details were on file why couldn't the doctor as a healthcare professional simply take 5 minutes to call & explain the situation and pass on my results - regardless my OHIP was still valid then. Instead I was left stressed out with no support. EDIT UPDATE: I emailed them like they asked me in the reply to this review and they didn’t get back to me.....

Expérience négative: The staff in endrocronolgy at this location are very rude and disrespectful.On one occasion I kept calling nd while in the middle of call she hanged up the phone on me extremely very unprofessional staff.The patients need some careful attention.You people should be happy because of these patients u hv a job.we dont deserve this kind of treatment ☹

Expérience fantastique: I have been a patient of Dr. Boright for approximately 3 years. He is very professional and takes the time to explain my bloodwork and look for solutions to any issues I have. He is also very punctual which is appreciated.

Expérience négative: This use to be a wonderful clinic but now it's over crowded and you are treated like a rat. I am always being told to try new products every time I go and forced to go to multiple services at the clinic which I do not need/want to. I prefer my new endocrinologist who I see at the same time as my diabetes educator which is great as I do not need separate appointments to see both. Also easier to plan out my treatment plan when the three of us are together. Lmc does not schedule appointments correctly either with their new online system. The phone service is a joke. I have to wait 30 minutes or more to talk to someone or wait for a call back in 24 to 48 hours. I usually get called while I am in a meeting and cannot answer. It's a joke and completely stressed me out this past year. I do not recommend the lmc. It's a business made to make money out of Diabetics. Not to help them.

Expérience négative: I was called last week to book an appointment for today at either 10:30 or 11:00 or 2:00pm. I had chosen 2pm. I didn’t get a single reminder call, I was calling from 11:30am to ensure the appointment, but I kept on getting messages that they were closed. It seems strange, so I called at 1:35 and they picked up and told me that I had missed my appointment for 10:30am and didn’t even bother accommodating me and telling me I have to book for next year. They didn’t even bother reminding me or calling me that I had an appointment. Ridiculous customer service.

Expérience négative: Garbage place, it's like a puppy mill. My doctor asked about my heart condition 5 times in 6 months. He kept forgetting that I have a heart failure, which goes hand in hand with my diabetes. Tells me I need 40 units of insulin as Im a big, then I need 60 to I need 100 units. Every meeting I had to explain my medication...never on time. Finally took my file out and away to a better doctor.

Came the first time with 15 min delay, doctor Abbitbol didn’t want to see me; I know it was my fault so I re-scheduled it for another time, I came on-time but receptionist told me that they called me left a message that they have already changed it 15 min earlier, I didn’t get the message and if I did I couldn’t make it cause I should drive to this place from Oakville!! And I told them when ai was re-scheduling that I could’t make it earlier than 4:30! I hate them, so much in stress to make it on-time, too tired from driving a long way and this rejection from doctor!! Even one star is too too much for them

Expérience négative: Yesterday, I drove @2:30pm from Nobleton because the Highway 400 and 401 East and South Bayview roads are busy due to high traffic. I arrived at LMC at 3:30pm and was told my appointment with Dr. Aronson was not until 4:10pm. The doctor was running behind which has happened twice now. I waited until 5:00 pm to be seen with Dr. Aronson. He spent no more that 6 minutes with me; he told me that my bloodwork was more than a week old and since I forgot my blood checking machine; he would see me in 7 weeks. When I mentioned to him that my Blood sugar was below 7. I started to mention that I felt best to take my medication at night which was fine with him. But his rushed behaviour really upset me when I started to mention what I ate at for breakfast and that I love eating ice cream once a week. He was not getting into food or choices for me at all. It felt like he was rushing patients in and out without any regard to answer any full questions. I will not be going back to see him again. Horrible service and experience with Dr. Aronson. No respect given for patients time; I felt he was stressed out. I don’t want to give even 1 star as he doesn’t deserve that either. A very dissatisfied, disappointed patient.

Expérience négative: Booking an appt. is so frustrating! I spent 20 minutes (yes, 20 minutes) on the phone with someone by the name of Marlyn just to book an appointment! She kept making me the same questions over and over again and putting me on hold all the time. Such a waste of precious time!

Expérience fantastique: Dr. Sandler is amazing doctor who shows genuine care for her patients. How many doctors and their assistants will follow up with phone call? You might expect a call from Dr. Sandler! She takes time to understand your problems. It's a rare quality. She is knowledgeable and won't do anything without a reason. Her assistant - Maegan Makela is always there to give a hand with a flow of patients. It's a great team!

Expérience fantastique: Very long wait time, however the doctors I saw were amazing! Dr. Aronson and his partner Dr. Preya (I unfortunately forget her last name) were so great. Dr. Preya was so calming and helpful at explaining the process and plan they are going to take for helping me. I believe the reception team needs more help during busy times, as I was slightly confused at the process. I did not receive a response back from my online message, however these two doctors made such a difference. Both are so knowledgeable, I just wish Dr. Preya's name was on the website so I could give her the recognition she deserves.

Expérience négative: Calling to book or change an appointment is just an awful experience. There is an on-line booking which works better but the people who (eventually!?) answer your call are hopeless. The clinic visit was fine.

Expérience fantastique: This is a very professionally managed clinic and my specialist is Dr. Aronson who is very good and highly knowledgeable and interested in the positive outcome of his treatment. The appointments are always on schedule and I have been there many times. Everybody working there is so professional, courteous and friendly from the reception admin/front office to the nursing assistant, Clinical coordinator, advisor, clinical Manager and even the nurses who took my blood tests. I understand that there are times where there might be a slight delay due to some other patients being treated longer. I have rarely found a place that works so methodically and professionally all the time. My only problem is that I live far away from them. I highly recommend this clinic for diabetes treatment and advice.

Expérience fantastique: I think it depends on what doctor you're going to see, because unlike the other reviewers, I've never been at this office longer than 45 minutes. My doctor is extremely punctual and the staff are lovely and very helpful. I have, however, noticed that the office CAN get very busy, although my experience has been that it's rare. But again, I noticed that even during those busy times, I've gone in much faster than most people, so I think it's just that my doctor is very punctual. But he's also great and I never feel rushed. The additional good news is that unlike most doctor's offices, which charge you $12 per nanosecond for parking, you only pay $1 per hour with the $1 being the minimum payment. It's nice not to be fleeced for parking to see a doctor. And there's always parking right near the entrance. The location is great.

Expérience négative: Every time my elderly grandmother comes she waits about half hour for her appointment! As we all know some days are slower than others because she may be in pain and because I was 10 minutes late (time it took getting her out of the car ) the disgustingly rude secretary tried to send my grandmother away and we live far! I'm lucky I was here and delt with her but if I was not this lady would have gotten away with being horribly rude to an elderly women!!!! They then had us wait over an hour !!!! Just horrible worst experience
