Even refreshing with new issues, working on my own was nowhere near as effective as working through the teachings of DBT with their staff one-on-one!!

Expérience fantastique: I have been with inner solutions for about 8 years now. I will candidly note that I was reccomend here after a stint in the hospital due to trauma. When I first arrived at the clinic I was impulsive, scared, and wanting to exist anywhere but here. Through my work with my therapist Jessica, I have been able to go from a person who doesn't feel they deserve to live, to a human who has confidence in myself to proceed not only in life, but in the career I am passionate to pursue. DBT was created for people with BPD in mind, I do not have BPD. Through my years of experience with DBT I believe everyone should give it a go.

Expérience négative: Don’t go here. They over diagnose. They over promise. They create more issues. They encourage addiction when it causes behaviour problems. They are rigid with therapy delivery. They have a very high turnover. I was with them for 3 years and zero progress. I went to another private therapist and I am doing great now and my addiction issues were addressed and I don’t have my behaviours anymore. I never had BPD (confirmed by a PHD with 40 years of experience). I’m not using my real name because I don’t really want everyone knowing I went here. I don’t recommend and I think people should seek other opinions before giving their heart and soul to inner solutions, because they really do not care.

Expérience négative: I went to this clinic for 4 months and received no specialized help, they put me with a “provisional therapist” & did not make me aware of this, stay far from this clinic they are only in the business of stealing your money not actually giving you specialized treatment, especially being a DBT specific clinic helping people with BPD. Very unprofessional and unethical business.

Expérience fantastique: All I can say is that the team at Inner Solutions saved my life. I’ve read some of the bad reviews and am shocked. Private clinics cost money, that’s not a reason to whine because I’m pretty sure they didn’t spring the cost on you. As far as getting a not totally accredited Psychologist, I had one and she was 10 times better at Inner Solutions than the full fledged one I saw at another clinic for a year. Ashley was her name and she knew I needed EMDR which she wasn’t yet trained in so she immediately referred me to my “forever” therapist Jessica. Between the two amazing woman I am now a more amazing woman. Choose Inner Solutions if you choose life.

Expérience négative: Stay far far away from any DBT therapy through this private clinic. Spent over $13,000 for a year of DBT therapy with zero improvement in borderline personality disorder. We were told repeatedly, “it takes a long time before you will see any improvements”. This is code for “we’re gonna keep any progress dangling just in front of you, while we continue to charge you for our over-inflated hourly rate”. Our therapist refused to address anxiety, depression, anger, and addiction issues causing behavioural problems. He never challenged delusional thinking and thought distortions, only affirming these ideations as truth. He labeled the one and only support system (the parents/family) as “toxic” and “phobic”. If this were true, then why was I the one footing the $13,000 bill?? This therapist wasn’t even a psychologist, rather a social worker by training. Furthermore, when we made an appointment with Donna (which was suggested by our therapist) to discuss our concerns/complaints about the therapy, she refused to see us unless w paid the $240 hourly rate! This business model is truly out for profit. This clinic aided in breaking family ties, and used their own personal agendas to manipulate a vulnerable young adult to far left wing ideologies. Stay away from Inner Solutions!!!

Expérience négative: I have a family member who has received care at Inner Solutions for several years, and I have been responsible for the cost of therapy. Admittedly, it is a tightrope walk to balance patient centered care with a profit-based business, but it is a balancing act that many organizations successfully manage. I do not believe this is the case with Inner Solutions. I say this, because in the past few months, I have had several billing concerns which were not adequately resolved with the executive director of the clinic, Donna Hughes. On two occasions, my visa card was debited significant amounts, (on a per minute basis @ $240/hour) by the therapist for consultation with an outside agency and a doctor. My concern is that I was not advised about these charges in advance, nor was I consulted in any manner about their necessity or utility. In both instances, alternative arrangements could have been made which did not involve any cost to myself if I was advised of the issue. In another instance, I was billed one hour for a 30-minute session. The therapist was late, and the session ended early. According to the director of the clinic, this was acceptable because on past occasions the standard 50 minutes of therapy (billed as 60 minutes) was exceeded. I do not recall such sessions, but in any case, this billing practice is clearly unprofessional. Despite the foregoing, we were planning to continue with therapy (while looking for alternatives). Unfortunately, after bringing these problems to the attention of the executive director, she closed the file, and we are now searching elsewhere for treatment options.

Expérience fantastique: I'd give them 10/5 if I could. Inner Solutions saved me from myself and if my review can help just one more person have a happier, more content and positive future, then my review has done its job. The staff here are understanding, compassionate and supportive. Donna is a very skilled therapist and I highly recommend her. She is incredible at her job. After about a year at Inner Solutions, I finally knew what inner peace and contentment felt like for the first time in my life. Not having that constant internal turmoil and the spectrum of my emotions being so easily triggered (which is exhausting) made me feel 500 pounds lighter. For me, that lightness of being is priceless. Meditation was extremely helpful during this process and is still a daily part of my life. Turning down the volume in my brain has been paramount in reducing stress, regulating my triggers/emotional responses and getting my head in the right space. Inner Solutions' programs are very comprehensive and all of the staff are extremely knowledgeable. As long as you have an open mind and do your homework (you cannot expect positive results without putting in the time and being motivated), you will become a more balanced and content individual. It is not easy, but nothing worth having is easy.

Expérience négative: Paige was unprofessional in her words and actions, additionally her words insinuated things that I will not mention here, but things that were incredibly triggering for me. A person coming to Inner Solutions for help and leaving with a mental breakdown is not the mark of a good, professional, and comfortable environment. This also raises the question of whether this place should even be in business. If I could give 0 stars I would have. The amount they charge is also absurd considering Paige is not even a registered psychologist.

Expérience négative: Be cautious about this business - very money driven which took away from my daughters experience and progress. Her therapist may have credentials but was not qualified to be working in this field effectively. I spent almost $25000.00 here in one year with little impact - which her therapist blamed on my daughter. Money is king here.

Expérience fantastique: Excellent therapists that take an integrated team approach. I recommend Travis in particular.

Expérience négative: I did enjoy my therapy at IS for the first month, my therapist (Travis) and I were compatible enough, despite my intitial disliking that he wasn't a real psychologist. But after the second month I realized we hadnt actually gotten to any real.. therapy. My therapist was only talking about what DBT is and trying to convince me to do the year long treatment plan that is a total of $9000+ (individual sessions weekly + the group program). I had told him from the start I did not want to go to group, and had he said he can only treat me if I do group from the start I would have stopped going and been thankful for his time. He was very nice and hope-instilling at the start. But it had been over 2 months by the time I finally said to his face, calmly, that he is wasting both of our time by continuing to talk about group. I didnt go back for two months, and when I emailed to see him again, if he would accept that I was only interested in individual therapy, he said he's not the best therapist for me. -_-

Expérience fantastique: Donna Hughes is a breath of fresh air in the industry and has the tough job of telling people a lot of what they don't want to hear. She has 30+ years experience and works with some of the most difficult cases. She has expectations for her clients to do the work and improve. She will not simply bump people along to collect fees without seeing improvement.

Expérience négative: I can't really recommend Inner Solutions to anyone. I paid $330 for 90 minutes of therapy time and without my consent paired me with a provisional psychologist, not even a full psychologist, and all I did with them is listen to the therapist talk about their consent form, the clinic's special "dialectical" approach that wasn't even a good fit for what I needed from them, and then finally how they require a commitment of half a year to a year from me for me to experience improvement. I didn't get anything from $330 dollars and 90 minutes, so I don't expect I'll get much from half-a-year to a year. If you are reading this review steer clear if you don't want to be robbed of your money.

Expérience fantastique: The thing I love about inner solutions is how I don't feel like just a client. They treat me like a human being and genuinely seem interested in my recovery. Brittany and Andrew have literally been life savers for me. Is it expensive? Yes, but it really does work. As long as you are committed to put in the work and are willing to change.

Expérience fantastique: My time at Inner Solutions was incredibly beneficial for me. Jessica helped me get through my dark time at 15-16 in about a year-ish. She taught me so many strategies for communication and helped me manage my depression and anxiety. To this day I still utilize everything Jessica assisted me with, her help was lifelong. Jessica & Donna are wonderful women, who have a lot of genuine care & hope for their clients wellbeing and healing. I would highly highly recommend this office to all my friends & family who need therapy services! The free snacks and tea/coffee in the waiting room are a great bonus also

Expérience fantastique: I have been receiving counseling through inner solutions since December 2019 after a diagnosis of BPD. I have found both my one on one sessions as well as the skills group to be very beneficial in turning my life around. Things are by no means perfect in my life, but I feel more in control of my emotions and more stable than I have ever felt in my adult life. Yes, the services are expensive, but so is losing jobs, divorce and the other outcomes of not getting treatment. It has not always been easy but this is by far the best money I have ever spent and I likely wouldn't be alive if I didn't find this clinic. I can't say enough good things about how they have empowered me to turn my life around and have supported my family through this process as well.

It took 18 months of intense psychotherapy to stop re-experiencing the trauma and after effects. Donna was with me every step of the way. I received much support outside of scheduled appointments. Donna would call or email me often and I could do the same. Donna was compassionate, honest, acted with integrity, validated my experiences and feelings, and demonstrated much expertise. I say this with full sincerity, having Donna Hughes as my Therapist saved my life. Without a caring, skilled, relational Therapist it`s impossible to heal, trust me, God knows, I tried for years. Inner Solutions offer what AHS can`t and that`s long term therapy that is relational with an emphasis on learning and practicing DBT skills. Highly Recommend!!!!!

Expérience négative: Dont go here Donna Hughes the only thing she knows is how to steal your money, She is a nurse that charges like Registered psychologist and charges by the minute. It is so illegal that you cannot claim her consultations to blue cross. Superjudgmental which is the last thing you need as a patient or parent of a BPD son or daughter. She signed up my son for group therapy and charged me when I told her specifically my son wouldnt go and might quit therapy for that, since he was not ready. Make yourself a favor avoid the disappointment and save your money.
