Expérience fantastique: I had a great experience at the Downtown Cleveland Clinic. All of the providers I met with were caring, really listened to my concerns, and had solutions for me. Timing for appointments was smooth & prompt, you can tell it it a well-oiled machine. I am happy to have a baseline to refer back to from now on. Highly recommend.
Expérience fantastique: Had the most amazing professional and caring experience at Cleveland Clinic downtown for an executive health assessment. Wonderful warm service by superb professionals in every discipline!
Expérience négative: The clinic facilities are top notch and the service is really good. However, during my visit, one of the employees providing the services was visibly unhealthy, with teary eyes and runny nose. I always try to avoid situations like this and get sick very rarely because of my cautiousness. I couldn't decline the service because I've waited for it for weeks and drove for over an hour each way to the clinic. So I hoped it was just allergies (a MEDICAL CLINIC would not allow employees to work with the patients while sick, RIGHT?). Sure enough 4 days later I'm down with the worst cold in years, and a few days later my wife is as well. We had no other human contact otherwise, so it couldn't be anyone else. So my health declined after visiting this clinic, which is not what you would expect from a medical institution. I did reach out to the patient resolution team, they told me that the employee in question was sick weeks before, had time off and wore a mask after the recovery. My visit was after the mask protocol was over, so there's that. I wonder how many more patients contracted this virus.

Expérience fantastique: Any service I have used at Cleveland Clinic Canada Downtown has yet to disappointment me. It’s easy to make and reschedule appointments and the caregivers are attentive, caring and efficient. I’ve mostly utilized the Sports Rehab practitioners like the magician Chiro that is Dr. Beth Douglas and Sports Med Physician Dr. Jonathan Lockwood whose personal and professional experience with Athletes made me feel like he genuinely cared about how my chronic knee pain was effecting my life. The bonus that is the Express Care Online app and our wonderful NPs take the time to understand concerns and help look after me when needed during a time where I struggle to find a new family physician; they have been nothing short of miraculous. I am grateful for this place and the different teams caring about patients and the desire to provide everyone with a higher quality of life.

I've been living for some time with an undiagnosed health issue which has significantly eroded my quality of life. While most everyone I've come into contact with in the public healthcare system has been pleasant, the Cleveland Clinic has proven to be a cut above and I feel I am in great hands. After getting a potential diagnosis from a doctor at St. Michaels's Hospital in Toronto, I went back to Cleveland Clinic and the team moved at lightning speed to send me to specialists with the goal of getting a definitive diagnosis and, hopefully, an effective therapeutic solution. An important thing to note: You must be your own advocate, determined to push for what you need. Combine this with the team at Cleveland Clinic and your'e guaranteed to get somewhere.

Expérience fantastique: The admin and clinical teams at the CC Dermatology clinic (Downtown) set a gold standard for friendly, thorough care.
Expérience négative: My husband went and payed a hefty fee which would be fine, not opposed to a two tiered medical system. However, he presented with extreme fatigue, stomach discomfort, muscle pain and spent the day getting tests and seeing a number of people. They had no answers but said they would follow up....it has been 1 year and we have heard nothing. What a waist of time and money. Very disalousioned by the great Cleveland Clinic!

I use to uphold & value the treatment received which was very good by dedicated team of doctors including my present doctor. It seems now the level of care has shifted & is more prioritized & geared towards patients who have & appointment at the clinic. If you are former patient calling from home or emailing your physician secretary with a medical question regarding your health for your doctor, I noticed you get less priority than those with appointments at the clinic. I think even if you don’t have & appointment at the clinic you should still be entitled to the same level of care & your needs be addressed in a timely manner regardless whether it’s done by phone, email etc. & not be put on the back burner. I guess when it comes to billing OHIP up front for in-person appointments has a lot to do with it.

Expérience fantastique: Once in a while health care providers become patients Such was the case with me as I went through my comprehensive health assessment (through the Executive Health Program) at Cleveland Clinic Canada. While I did not receive a perfect score on my health measurements, I did receive compassionate care from an outstanding group of clinicians. I now have a clear understanding of what I need to do from a mobility and exercise standpoint to reduce risk of falls, how I need to make nutritional choices to lower my blood sugar, and a how I should approach inevitable life stressors. In addition, a Sports Medicine physician was able to diagnose the cause of the wrist pain I was having after tennis matches and steer me towards rehab exercises so I can get back on the court. I also learned about the latest updates of vaccinations that will protect me for the next decades. And all this in one day at one location...best investment of time for myself I will make all year!

He has a great experience and even sent me a tik tok video showcasing exactly how Beth taught him how to tape…and he never sends me anything. lol It was a great experience and helped reassured him that his knee wasn’t a serious injury. Expérience fantastique: Dr. Elizabeth Douglas has been treating me for a chronic lower back and hip issue for a few years now. She has been a life savior for me and is a stellar chiropractor. She has not only treated me when the flair ups occur but she ensures that in every aspect of my life (whether it be while sedentary at work or active), I am doing everything possible to prevent and manage pain. Expérience fantastique: In the past I have had many sessions with other physios and sports injury therapists but none have realy explained the problems I had nor have they given such long term relief . Honestly I have been most impressed with the efficiency and courtesy of your helpful staff from reception to treatment rooms incredibly friendly and helpful. Each session was reminded and covered by e mail. In addition my therapist also prepared details for me to take abroad in case I needed them. She was brilliant! Not only professional, effective but also good communicator . She listened and explained things very well. Plus she was personable, friendly and obviously knowledgable. Expérience fantastique: I turned 40 this year and booked my first Executive Medical to be proactive about my health and to get a baseline as I entered a new decade. I was really impressed with the entire experience starting from the pre-visit communication to the day of care itself and the post-care test results. The clinic itself was well equipped and comfortable and I felt well cared for during the day with access to lots of healthy food and drinks to enjoy between consults. The staff were professional and friendly from the receptionists to the nurses and doctors and it felt great to leave the appointment feeling reassured about my health and with actionable targets on how to improve it over the next year. I've already made my follow-up visits and will make a point of making this an annual visit going-forward.

During my executive medical, they found some degeneration in my right eye I had absolutely no idea existed that required further diagnostics and ultimately treatment. Naturally, my first reaction was of concern - will I lose my vision?? The team at Cleveland Clinic managed the referral process to a top of the line retina specialist who was incredibly professional and fast in finalizing the diagnosis, provided me with laser treatment immediately, and reassured me that the issue is now completely resolved. Had I not completed this assessment, this wouldn't have been detected. Cleveland Clinic managed the entire process, decreasing the stress on my shoulders of finding the right specialist. The professionalism of this team is unparalleled, and I'm forever grateful!

Expérience fantastique: I am attending the GLAD knee and hip program twice a week for 6 weeks. There are 4 of us in my group. Basically we rotate among 10 workstations, doing an exercise with body weight or bands 10 reps x 3 sets. Each exercise has 4 levels so the difficulty increases as we can handle it. The part I like the best is the customization offered by Alison Fong, the physiotherapist, who is so cheerful. If something hurts, she figures out why and finds an adjustment or accommodation to reduce the pain.

Expérience négative: A waste of my time!! I had gone in for my annual physical check up a couple of months ago. Expressed concerns about my knee at the time. Unfortunately, the sports doctor was not available that day and a second visit was booked for me for an Xray or MRI. Went for my second appointment and “nothing” was booked for an Xray. It was apparent the two doctors were not in sync with what needed to take place. I had travelled well over an hour to get there, spent $40 in parking and fought the rush hour traffic out of the city…all this for a 10 minute visit. I contacted my family doctor thereafter who was retiring. He set me up for an Xray. I received a call a few hours after the X-ray and they believe the Xray indicated a fractured Patella. Due to the fact my family doctor was retiring the following day. He suggested I contact the Cleveland Clinic again and have them do an Xray to verify the fracture and get them to provide direction on next steps in place of the incoming family doctor. Called Cleveland Clinic again to setup the third appointment. Explained the situation and mentioned the issue with previous visit. Told them I wanted an Xray done to verify the fracture. They provided me with an appointment 3-4 weeks out. 2 days before the appointment, I called to verify that the X-ray was booked for that day. They indicated that “it was not” and that I would need to come in again and meet with sports doctor. No point in spending an hour or so driving into the city, spending $40 in parking, and fighting the rush hour traffic heading out the city, all for a 10 minute chat and another appointment which I’m sure would have been screwed up again. In my opinion there is a breakdown in communication. Not sure what else to call it. I even requested someone to call me back so I can express my disappointment and concerns. No one called back. Sounds like a communication meltdown at the Cleveland Clinic. I will have better success with the new family doctor rather than utilizing the Cleveland Clinic. We pay a lot of money for this Executive Healthcare and I will definitely consider other options. Tom

I've been dealing with a chronic issue for almost 20 years - seen numerous specialists/doctors, have MRIs that show areas that could cause problems, seen physio, osteo etc - and this "doctor" decided to solve my problem by telling me to sit up straight and do an ergonomic assessment. Not only was it completely dismissive and insulting to me, it's insulting to every single doctor who has ever seen me...also obviously tried ergonomic assessment multiple times and if that was really all there was, it would not still be a problem 20 years later.

Expérience fantastique: Ive been coming here off and on for years with various ailments. I must say that Jessica, the manager, is very accommodating, friendly and efficient : all conducive to influencing the client to return. I might add that Chris Downey, Saba and Jenna are excellent physiotherapists as are the rest of them . The office staff, especially Suzy, is friendly, diligent and very compassionate.. The assistant PT, especially Serena is very helpful and friendly. Finally, Dr. Kraft is the epitome of professionalism .She really listens and displays a deep understanding of the client's needs. A very sensitive and compassionate doctor who never rushes you. On the whole, my experiences here have been positive.. But there's always room for improvement .

Expérience négative: I don't know what to say honestly. I went to see an orthopedic surgeon at the downtown clinic for a 3rd opinion last year for an injury suffered in 2015. I had 4 surgeries, and initially he was willing to do another to explore and see what was going on, but as time passed, he changed his mind. Conservative approach is what he wanted to take, stuff that been tried and failed in the past, and another option that's done more harm than good. Now he wants to send me for a 4th opinion. And he wants me to shell out money I don't have for an expensive injection. I'm on a fixed income. I simply cannot afford hundreds of dollars for this. I came to the clinic with hope, now I'm just depressed.

They have notes on their emails saying that they are "one of the highest rated physio clinics, etc," but when I went there for a critical shoulder injury, they charged me 150$ for a terrible experience. I had two students in my first session, which I later learned is apparently against their policies and they should only have students in sessions with patients that have been coming there for a while now rather than the first time and the practitioner that was helping me spent at least half of the session mumbling medical jargon to them instead of actually giving me her full attention and actually helping me. When they asked if I was ok with them being in the session I agreed because I assumed they would just be observing and letting us get on with what we had to do... The practitioner helping me that day barely gave me any information about how to recover from my injury, and tried to apply this tape that was apparently supposed to stay on my shoulder for FOUR days! But within the first moments of her applying it to me, I could feel it peeling off because it was obviously just some very old tape that they had and it lost its stickiness... Then proceeded to tell me that I would need to re apply said tape after the 4 days but; A) didn't actually teach me how to do this, and B) didn't provide me with the tape to do it anyways I'm attaching a photo of the tape only a few hours after my session with them. I was as polite as possible during the session because I didn't want to make a scene there, but it was honestly a really embarrassing experience! So I later requested a refund after calling their managers multiple times and they kept on giving me one terrible excuse after another as to why they could not actually refund me for the session and dodging my phone calls repeatedly... THEN FINALLY!!!! They called me and were like, "okay, so doing a refund directly into your debit account clearly isn't working after trying for 2 weeks. We will just send you an e-transfer to your email address..." Like what!!? All of my time that they wasted only to finally do the thing I suggested they do in the first place to avoid this headache? In my opinion, this pathetic practice should be owing ME money for the amount of time I had to invest in them.

Billing was a nightmare and I had to follow up multiple times.

Expérience négative: drTim, Stacy Huang, Regan Walker, Beth Douglas are the best professionals i have ever met. they have helped me to get my mobility back and also live a pain free life. the best team ever in downtown Toronto. their professional team deserves nothing but 5 stars. i wish Cleveland clinic could have a better internal communication within their staff, and they could treat people with a bit of more care and respect. some of the front desk people may not have the complete information and asking gets them frustrated. they can totally make and break it for the clients.

She was able to assess me, offer advice and stretches and refer me to someone who can further heal my injury. The clinic is more expensive than most but it is definitely worth is to have their expertise, facility and continued support. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone with a sports injury.

Expérience fantastique: One of downtown’s best kept secrets. Stacey in Physio, Beth in Chiro and Dr. Tim in Sports Med have all helped me immensely over the last three years. They have a beautiful, modern office, and can help manage complicated concerns (like when I broke a bone and needed xrays and an MRI). All the services I had there were covered by OHIP and my work benefits, but it felt like a private clinic. Highly reccomend for anyone who needs an expert opinion in sports med and doesn’t have time to wait at a walk-in.

Expérience négative: Stay away from Dr Tim! The definition of obsolete. I went in with ruptured distal bicep tendon, meaning the tendon was ripped between the forearm and the bicep. "Dr" Tim insisted that it was ripped off of the muscle itself, went off about surgical repair being like stitching hamburger. Would not listen to the fact that the ultrasound showed a partial tear at the turbosity on the bone. He sent me home with a research paper from 1998 on why a hook test was just as effective as an MRI and prescribed physio. I received an email shortly after my appointment asking about my experience, by then I already had surgery scheduled, I told them about my experience as well as my actual real diagnosis and progress and received no response. Incompetent to the fullest I went to the ER at St Joseph's, had an emergency MRI, and had a surgery to attach the tendon back to the bone. It's been just over a year and I'm so happy I disregarded "dr" Tim's diagnosis and opinion. I have full function of my arm and look normal. Seriously, stay away from him. I've heard similar complaints about him. Being a physio clinic they would probably prescribe physio for cancer and car troubles. Useless.

Expérience négative: I go there specifically because of one person. This clinic however is expensive, and requires re-assessments (aka cash grabs) if you have been longer than 6 months. I the person I go to ever leaves that clinic I will go back to them because they are the best, but I will not go back to Cleveland.
Expérience négative: The chiropractor fee per session ($110) is so expensive and not comparable to other clinics. You don't get what you paid for there. Search more. You will find better clinics with more knowledgeable Doctors.

Expérience fantastique: I continue to have great experiences here. All the doctors and the physiotherapist I see are respectful and practice patient centred care. I trust their knowledge and appreciate their help, as I felt that other doctors weren't seeing the true picture of my injury. Dr. Tim Rindlisbacher was able to tell me after an assessment what the problem was and what my next steps are. To be honest, I was very nervous about seeing him because of the bad experiences I had with other doctors, but I'm so so so glad and grateful I was able to have him diagnose my injury properly and set me up for a successful recovery. Expérience négative: Attended as part of the executive health program. Lots of bells and whistles and certainly a beautiful facility where everyone is well trained to say the right things. Unfortunately, beyond the surface, you realize you are just going through a bunch of standardized test (which is ok), but lacking any real concern or customization for specific health concerns. When you leave the promise the follow-up will now include a customize plan and referrals based on what was discovered. However, its merely a bunch of test scores saved in a clunky online interface. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but not particularly impressed.

Expérience négative: For the executive yearly program, they do set of tests which is somewhat a good indication. Dr. Campbell is a very good doctor. However, you only see a your physician once a year when you do the tests. Its very hard to communicate or followup afterwards with your physician or with other specialists. If you need to see a specialist in a field that they don't have, they will encourage you to get referred by your family doctor instead of taking the initiative to refer you to one in a shorter time. If you have an issue,you won't be able to a doctor, only a nurse. Usually you have to leave a voicemail and wait at least a day or two. I mean you could see your family doctor instead! They should have general physicians that are ready to do online or physical consultations to get a reliable service. I gotta say, I was expecting a lot more from Cleveland Clinic Canada. I am really disappointed... The Canadian version of mychart (online system) is more basic compared to the US version and you cannot send any messages there which is really annoying. I hope they will improve their service.I only went there because of the reviews I've read here, but they are a far from being a real medical clinic like in US.

Expérience négative: The worst quality health care I have ever received in Canada. I went to see a sports med doctor in hopes to get some advice on my knee and back pain. The doctor did not listen carefully to my concerns and actually outright refused to listen to my concerns regarding my back pain stating that he can only deal with "one joint at a time." The doctor did not take a holistic approach and said I should book another appointment to address my back pain issues. I felt that my knee pain was playing a role in my back pain but he dismissed me on this matter saying he only has 30 minutes to deal with me. He mentioned this 10 minutes into my appointment!! From start to finish my experience with Cleveland Clinic was an unpleasant one, starting with the rude receptionist who also very reluctantly gave me an appointment because she believed there was nothing the doctors at the clinic could do to help!! Not sure how she came to that conclusion without hearing my symptoms. This place is not welcoming to the general public....I felt discriminated and made me wonder whether I was really dealing with health care professionals. I question their integrity and professionalism.
