Negative experience: They shut down with no warning‍♂️

Negative experience: They have been closed for the past 2 nights, no email or updates from anyone. I have been calling and it goes straight to voicemail. Even their app does not show any classes or why? Very unprofessional as they continue to bill in full. Horrible communication.

Negative experience: they shut down yesterday as of MARCH 18,2023.

Negative experience: I paid $100 and managed to train only once, after which the gym closed without warning and the equipment was taken away from it. It is very offensive that this happened, I am very angry

Fantastic experience: Saw the in-house physiotherapist, Prabhav and have only good things to say about my experience. Very knowledgeable, extremely kind and goes above and beyond what’s expected. Prabhav helped diagnose my physical ailments, develop an action-oriented plan toward solving these issues and bring attention to other elements involved with my overall fitness as well. In fact, you will undoubtedly learn a thing or two regarding your anatomy and physical health while with him. I left the clinic very happy about my session, look forward to follow-up sessions and can’t recommend Prabhav enough to others interested in diagnosing their physical ailments and striving for better overall fitness.

We have been coming to the UFC Mississauga for the last 5 years and the we loves it. Special thanks to the Manager JAG and coach Coner for being so welcoming and professional specially when they are VERY inclusive and welcome member with special needs. I strongly recommend the gym and contact JAG as he is very helpful and easy approach any time.

Negative experience: Avoid doing my mistake. Do not agree to sign up for a membership no matter what discounts or private sessions you will be offered. The manager Jug, will talk you up and make you feel the the king of the gym until you sign up, then it’s just about you money $$$$$$ He will push on you everything you don’t need just like the 5 sessions of training he sold me even though I didn’t use more than one as I was not comfortable with the trainer he set me up with ( they trainer who I paid $50/hour for, gave me a pencil and a piece of scrap paper and told me write down on the back what I say. It’s either he’s not prepared or don’t know how to write.) They keep charging my credit card, meanwhile my membership is on hold during the pandemic, when I called, Jug told me how else are we going to bring back people to the gym?! Really!!! How about an email?!!!!! Terrible management and a ripoff gym.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this gym to people who want to live privately. In your contract, you basically sign away your right to privacy because it’s included that if you sign, it means you accepting the terms that they’ll film you for their social media without your permission. Whatever, if there are people that are okay with it go for it. One thing that ticked me off though was a particular moment in the gym that really defined the type of environment for me. When I was there, one particular member made it clear that she didn’t want to be filmed. On more than one occasion. She was direct, and I think it’s a reasonable thing to ask. Despite the contract, there’s no harm in a little human decency. Keep in mind this member was a regular. However, despite her request not to be on camera, the staff would film her. Put the camera in her face in the middle of her workout essentially. Until one day, she sort of exploded, and honestly I felt for her. It bothered me even more that I was there to witness when she’d say no to being filmed. Like you’re all sweaty and in the zone and suddenly you look up and someone is watching you with their phone. It’s so uncomfortable and weird! Just because it’s included in the contract, doesn’t mean you take away someone’s right to human decency. The lady said no the first time, no harm filming another member who would be comfortable with it. Anyways, ever since then, I got the vibe that these people don’t really respect privacy or people’s right to say “no” at least. They’re definitely nice, and sure it’s cool to sign up at an intense gym like this. I just wouldn’t recommend it after that one experience. I felt bad for the lady, she probably still goes, because she seemed like she was enjoying the classes. I’d recommend that the gym change this policy if they haven’t. I also recommend they train their staff to ask members for their permission before filming. We live in a different age now. Sometimes people worry about their own safety. Maybe it slipped their mind that day when they signed up. Maybe they like to look good on social media if they post, not in awkward positions for their bodies. There’s no harm in respecting that. Did you guys ever consider that not everyone is killing themselves to be on social media?

Negative experience: If i could give 0 stars i would. Fairly small facilities with limited machines. After telling the front desk 4 months ago im canceling my membership i get a charge for the 4 months in one payment. Came in and spoke with the front desk and I was told there was some type of misunderstanding but they can't do anything about the charge as they "don't have proof that i came in and told them i wanted to cancel". As the front desk person did not take the right steps to cancel my membership. Due to the failure of the ufc staff not following their corporate policies i have to pay for the 4 months out of my pocket, even though their system clearly shows last time i checked in was in March when i canceled.... don't go here nothing but unprofessional and a scam, as other people in the neighborhood have had the same issue with this ufc location.. even after sending over 6 email to the email address the owner had provided below, i haven't been contacted back yet. It's been over a month. Don't go here.

Fantastic experience: Wow! I am amazed by the customer service of the team at UFC. They helped me answer any questions I had about classes and equipment. Now I partake in going to this gym regularly!

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, great atmosphere and a large variety of different ways to train! Highly recommend it to all friends and family.

Negative experience: Overall, just not a very good gym. It was completely dead when I was there. Didn't seem well managed. They've got a cool area where you can flip tires. That's really the only positive I can say. It's definitely more of a dojo than a weight training gym. I wouldn't recommend it. There's a ton of other gyms around that offer more, are managed well, cleaner, just plain better for the same money or less.

Negative experience: July2022 update: The other Kid, who bullied my kids was given a warning. UFC refunded the money for the two months that it took for them to resolve the issue. June 2022:Original complaint: I signed up two of my kids for their Youth-kickboxing and Y-JJ. My kids were bullied by another kid in class, after telling the instructor (who we had to wait for as he was on the personal phone during class and did not even acknowledged us), it happened again during the hour, my kids were harassed by the same kid in class. I have written an email to the manager on Friday and gave him a follow up deadline for Wednesday, THEY DID NOT CALL BACK NOR RESPONDED TO MY EMAIL. I sent another email on Wednesday as a reminder to call me back..NO CALL came...I am writing to UFC head office and pulling my kids out of UFC GYM programs and will be requesting full refund..

Fantastic experience: Going to the UFC gym has become a daily activity to do in my life. I always looked forward towards attending the D.U.T, kick boxing, and boxing classes, especially the ones hosted by Jay. Jay is a great coach. No matter what he's teaching, you always feel great after the workout. Jay focuses on all strengths during his workouts including mobility,  cardio, ab exercises, etc.. Although his workouts may seem tough, he's a good coach with a funny sense of humor. Once I started attending his workouts I started seeing progress really quick. I highly recommend attending his classes.

Fantastic experience: I really like this gym, best one I've been to, and the staff and coaches are amazing, especially Jay. His classes are really my favorite. He focuses on cardio, and strength, and the workouts may be a bit hard and challenging, but its worth it! I highly recommend attending his classes.

Fantastic experience: I have been working out with Jay the coach for a week and let me tell you this guy is the best coach for intense work out and getting you in shape. He personally makes a plan for you according to your current physique and then provides you a work out that will push you to your limits.

Negative experience: Wasted my hundreds of dollars, I was promised diet plans, workout plans and a lot more. Got nothing in return for my money.

Fantastic experience: This is an absolutely phenomenal gym, offering a wide variety of classes. All the trainers and staff are professional and possess the necessary knowledge to ensure gym members achieve their fitness goals. I would also like to commend Coach Jamshid for always being genuine and giving valuable fitness advice while empowering his students to go above and beyond their perceived potential in his HIIT - Signature DUT class! Once again, this is an amazing gym where everyone is friendly and feels like family! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: When I first came to this gym, it was Mr. Jay who became my fitness trainer. He would message me to set our time before the workout, which made my planning very clear. Having a clear goal and the right intensity when exercising allows me to have a better workout. I think it was a good decision to choose him.

Fantastic experience: I have enrolled my two boys in the children’s mixed martial arts program and I must say I am very impressed with the whole gym and program. The facility is full of energy and designed very well in layout. The staff here are very friendly and the instructors are true masters of their craft. I met with Jag who is the General Manager of this location and he was very understanding with my millions of questions and made the enrolment process very easy and straightforward. I do recommend the UFC gym your children will really benefit from their classes.

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing gym with a great team and atmosphere. Rashad and Ashley are great coaches . They are very friendly and always ready to help. I was recovering from a fractured ankle, Rashad and Ashley helped me not miss out on my workouts by adjusting the workouts to be non weight bearing on my leg. I highly recommend them. The gym also has a great sense of community among patrons who have become great friends of mine . This is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to . I highly recommend their DUT and Boxing programs as it has done wonders for me in terms of my fitness.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this gym to everybody! The atmosphere is amazing, and the coaches/staff are even better. I really enjoy training at this gym due to its wide selection of equipment, as well as the classes it offers to help achieve your fitness goals. My personal favourite is the D.U.T class. The knowledgable and friendly coaches are always pushing you to your absolute limit, which is what you expect from a gym, as well as are always willing to offer valuable advice to assist with improving your form/technique. Furthermore, the cleanliness level of the gym is phenomenal. This gym is different than your typical gym and that is why I absolutely enjoy being a member here.

Fantastic experience: This place has been a great motivator for me to go to the gym. They have a wide selection of equipment from different type of weight machines, smith machines, free weights, lots of different sets of dumbbell, so many punching bags with lots of space to work around and big sections for the octagon and a padded area as well. The classes at UFC gym are very diverse and fulfilling as well. I personally take DUT, HIIT and Boxing conditioning classes. One of the best values of this gym is the trainers. They really push you to stay fit and they really know what they are talking about when it comes to the technicalities of specific workouts, what body parts it affects, ie. One of the best coaches they have there would have to be Rashad. He really challenges you to get a good work out in and it really makes the class count. This coach specifically has a very experienced background in sports and boxing which makes you feel very confident in taking his classes knowing you’re getting a very structured and informative work out. What you learn in these classes you can take home with you and really think about the order and form of these exercises when you’re not even taking the class. That’s a true sign of a good work out class. Would highly recommend UFC gym to anyone getting into fitness, there’s a variety of classes and a good balance of easier to challenging sessions for anyone regardless of weather you’re new to this gym or not!

Fantastic experience: I was quite sceptical about my daughter joining UFC gym. My older one loved it so much we considered getting our younger one involved with the youth program. She had an amazing hour of focused training with two of the most amazing instructors (Connor and Michael). Despite her own challenges of coordination, both made sure she was actively involved - which is quite the accomplishment:)

Negative experience: This gym is a complete scam beware everybody..this business and the manager is in for a severe crippling.

Negative experience: Wow, I am speechless. Apparently the owner was in financial trouble with the lease. He didn’t pay the coaches and staff. The gym had black tint paper so no one could see inside but one of the paper fell off and all the equipment (dumbbells , machines, and boxing bags) was gone .. I hope there is a lawsuit coming because this gym was amazing and the community and coaches was so wholesome. The owner is a coward and the members don’t deserve this. GYM IS PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN

Negative experience: SCAM ALERT! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK INFORMATION. They will keep charging you after cancelation and will not give you a refund. Trust all the bad reviews here (mostly concerning fraud) and stay away. PS - Most good reviews are fake, they will give people free Gatorate after classes in return for a good review.

Negative experience: This gym is nice and clean and staff is very friendly, unfortunately when you cancel your membership, the fraudster by the name of “jag” will continue to charge your credit card and when you talk to him about it he will say “your membership is cancelled go talk to your bank”. Don’t give your credit information to these incompetent people.

Fantastic experience: The facility is great for all sorts of training. Always spare room for working the bag or doing my own thing. The mat is clean, and the coaches are incredibly nice. Miguel's Jiu Jitsu & Gavin's Muay Thai classes have been a great experience for myself and the new people looking to find their first martial art. For the weight section, there's at least one set of equipment for pretty much everything.

Negative experience: They are running a borderline scam. Took over $640 from my account and now they are refusing to pay it back....it has been a year. Never provided the services they charged me for either. Don't bother spending any money with these guys unless you want to get ripped off. At first they told me they will issue a refund once the gyms are back open after the pandemic. Now they are saying I could transfer what I paid for in services to someone else. Can't get a straight answer after a dozen emails. My only option is to call my credit card company and try to get a refund from there or take them to small claims court.

Negative experience: I just spoke to a "Jack" from New Membership Inquiry section. - How unprofessional was this individual. - Keeps cutting me off during conversation. - Has a super authoritative tone and absolutely no enthusiasm to try and sell the membership for a client inquiring about the gym - I asked him about prices and it felt like he was just annoyed talking to customers and was being forced to stay on the phone - I hope this guy doesn't answer any more calls - This is how you lose business.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. Tried cancelling my account since I moved away from Mississauga. Drove all the way to their gym just to be told that not only was I signed up to an annual membership (without me knowing it), they also refused to even offer me any way out until I made a fuss about it. I was offered to pay a cancellation fee which I understood. THEY SHOULDVE OFFERED THIS AT THE FIRST PLACE. P.S. I checked and read the "recurring dues and membership agreement" that they sent me via email and there were no lines indicating it would be a 1 year term. All in all, management are a bunch of crooks. AVOID THIS GYM! It's sad, I should've followed the advise of past members and went to another place. Do not be fooled by the 'UFC' branding and stay away from this gym.

Negative experience: I had a valid coupon from this gym that the owner decided not to honor for no good reason. I'm sure the trainers are great, but whoever manages this gym was not very nice at all. Response to Owner: I got the coupons off of a charity auction and they said that they must be redeemed within 30 days of the event, which I followed. There were no "specific markings" on the coupon that would have made them invalid. Unfortunately the Manager, "Jag", gave me a difficult time and ultimately refused to honor them. Judging by the other reviews here, I can tell that this gym does not "strive to give a positive experience" and will do anything to stay afloat.

Negative experience: This is probably the worst gym out there in Mississauga or even the GTA. Don't go to this gym, they barely have any equipment. They will try to scam you to make some extra money. Go to any other gym!

Negative experience: Called in to the gym today to discuss membership options. The person on the phone was adamant on having me come into the gym to visit despite me explaining that I've already seen the gym, gotten great referrals from people that went there and simply wanted to understand the membership options. I literally just wanted to know how they train people for muay thai and if that fits with what I'm looking for so I can sign up. I even offered to hop on a video call to have this discussion as everyone's needs are different so I was genuinely interested in learning and signing up but mid-pandemic this gym does not offer any online consultations and will force you to come visit in person. From the other reviews it seems like a great gym but its unfortunate i had to have this experience.

Fantastic experience: I have had my membership with them for around 4 months now and it is an excellent facility with wonderful staff and a nice low-traffic spot to lift and workout without having to wait to use machines. I had a very positive experience when Ontario decided to revert back to Stage 2, when most gyms were still charging their customers, the UFC gym decided to freeze my payments until they reopened which is a very nice gesture. Excellent facility at an excellent location.

When it comes to the gym and facility you get it all, lots of space, a friendly front desk support and most important all necessary work out tools. But another biggest advantage this gym has, is coach Tyrone. Cant say how grateful I am to my friend who refered me this coach. You wanna learn boxing doesnt matter at what level, Tyrone is your go to. Shout out to you coach, thanks for being awesome,motivating and educating us and helping become better version of ourselves

Positive experience: I’m wondering why there a lot of bad reviews about the gym

Negative experience: Guys please stay away from this gym if you can. It’s so easy to join and they are all nice and sweet talk you into signing up but once you try to opt out of the membership, that’s where the problem starts! How can I join a gym and not be able to opt out without paying so much in cancellation fees! I was never told at inception that I would be signed up for a year membership and to cancel would cost me 99$! They tell you to freeze your account but don’t let you know you’d still be charged after freezing!! Did I mention getting a refund is literally impossible? You’ll chase and chase the manager who will give you excuses. I just realized I was charged again today for an account that was frozen! This gym is just Ridiculous!! Edit August 2021: this is a year later and I’m still battling with getting out of this membership. The gym keeps charging me despite several calls and confirmations from the manager to cancel. Stay away!

Positive experience: This Gym is quite good. I have been going there for a while regularly before covid. They have various kind of classes like Boxing, BJJ, Kickboxing, Muai Thai, MMA etc. Have experienced the Boxing and Kickboxing conditioning classes which are quite good. One good thing is that they don't constantly push you for personal training of you don't show any interest.

Negative experience: They told us if we give a good review we can get a free gatorade and a bracelets thats how bad they are, almost all kids were doing that some of the review here have 5 stars because of that. Once i was in jusitsu at the kids classe because im only 12 and a kid chocked me i taped out 10 times told him to stop but he ignored he allways did not like me but that was too much, after I passed out nobody came to help me, only 2 mins after they came and they did not even Kick the kid out the gym. This gym is horrible. If you want to fight but for weight gym i think that its fine.

Fantastic experience: UFC gym Mississauga is what a perfect type of gym should look like. Every detail down to the spacing ,energy , and equipment plays a big part in this gyms success. Not to mention the team they got there, starting from Jag the manager to special trainers like Dev helping to provide a positive environment. UFC gym Mississauga hands down is my favorite gym and highly recommended for those willing to work hard.

Negative experience: I want to give zero. The facilities are amazing. But the sales staff is terrible. You can sign up easily, but you can't get a refund. I wanted to leave in the middle, but the salesperson recommended freeze. At that time, there was no mention of the annual fee and monthly fee after six months. After six months, monthly fees were automatically debited, and yearly fees were automatically debited. I found out that these money had passed out, but he said he could not help it by policy. Also, I can't understand a system that only accepts direct debit. Never register here. Protect your money.
