Fantastic experience: I've been going to this clinic for almost a year now, and I've been followed by Dr. Moore and therapists Kara and Jordan, they've been a fantastic team that has included me every step of the way in my treatment, and they've helped accommodate my circumstances and lifestyle into my recovery goals. I highly recommend this clinic and I can't say enough about the wonderful front desk staff, who always make time for you, even when they're busy, and make booking your appointments very easy.

Adam, the Strength and Conditioning specialist, created a detailed workout plan tailored specifically to my goals and physical abilities. Each exercise was thoughtfully designed to support my overall fitness and assist in the recovery of my knee. Dr. Robinson was amazing and supportive when I first visited with a knee injury that left me barely able to limp up and down stairs. Thanks to his expertise, I can now run up and down stairs pain-free. Lori one of the physiotherapists, and Barb, the massage therapist, have also been instrumental in my recovery. Fantastic experience: Dr. Robinson and his team are absolutely excellent. I wish everyone with an injury could have access to their expertise and treatment. As a result of their therapy, I have my old life back after months of pain and reduced activity. I was also able to avoid the consequences of a dubious diagnosis by a SW foot specialist who advised that surgery was the only option. And kudos too to their front of house staff, too, who actually make you feel like they want you there and treat you like a real person, rather than just a chart.

Fantastic experience: I just finished spending the last few months in physiotherapy working with Victoria Colbert at Innovative to address a muscle injury I’d sustained earlier in the year, and my experience really reaffirmed how valuable it is to seek a professional opinion when it comes to injuries as an adult, rather than just ignoring them and hoping they go away. Victoria always had specific, useful, and manageable exercise programs for me to take home each session, and with time and commitment, these translated into direct results in my recovery. She was also very supportive and approachable in all our sessions.

Fantastic experience: I have been actively engaged in sports my entire life which has resulted in multiple serious injuries, which have required specialists and ultimately surgery to repair. I recently sustained another injury which resulted in a referral to Dr Robinson at Innovative sports medicine. My experience with Dr Robinson has been nothing but incredible. Every member of his team is warming and carries a smile on their faces. The attention and focus to the injury was incredible and could not be compared to any previous experiences. Dr Robinson identified the issue, created a plan which included physiotherapy to rehabilitate the injury. I was resistant due to previous experiences however I followed his directions. Innovative Sports Medicine provides physiotherapy to which I was paired up with Sam. He to demonstrated a strong understanding of the injury and knowledge to the path of rehabilitation. I connected immediately with Sam and trusted his course of action. 6 weeks later I am back ready to engage in sports again. Fantastic experience: I had a major soccer injury that resulted in my bones catching and clicking within my knee cap. At first I thought this was a tendon or ACL injury. After 4 years of non-effective phisio and other measures trying to figure out what this pain was, an MRI showed that the injury scraped a section of cartilage from my inner knee causing this contact between the bones. I was referred to Dr.Marcus Robinson at Innovative and started receiving proper physio and regular viscosupplementation treatment (Durolane) injections into my knee which lubricated the section of exposed knee bone. The results were apparent after the first injection and kept getting better, this changed my life and after years of this treatment I'm able to fully participate in sports again with minimal impact. Highly recommend if anyone had a similar knee injury and was hitting dead ends with treatment options.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my family doctor to Innovative to rehab a shoulder issue and partially torn bicep. These folks are very professional and have a very well thought out step by step program starting with diagnostics to determine the right step to start on. For me, the program really worked. You have to do the homework exercises but they work! There is followup every 6 weeks until you progress to the final level. Dr. Robinson is super qualified and knowledgeable with multiple degrees in engineering and medicine. A man of few words but cuts to the chase. Can’t say enough good things about him. And athletic therapist Dave was super as were the front end staff. Very pleased!

Fantastic experience: I first met Dr. Robinson and his Athletic Therapist at the Seton location in Panther Physiotherapy Clinic. My Physiotherapist referred me to Dr. Robinson because my elbow was not responding to physio. Dr. Robinson requested an ultrasound & xray. The result was a small tear so my treatment plan changed. I chose the PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injection ($500). This appointment was at the Mayfair location. I found the office to be bright, clean & new. The front office staff were pleasant and helpful. What shocked me was how painful the injection was (no fault of theirs). It didn’t hurt when they “took” my blood, but when they injected into my elbow. I hit the roof! And, the discomfort I felt after the injection was too much to have driven myself home. I was not expecting this. I was thankful that my husband had offered to drop me off and pick me up. My recovery was slow but successful!!Dr. Robinson was pleasant and thorough, his Athletic Therapist (sorry, I can’t remember his name) listened and explained everything about my injury and the treatment. Their collaboration was always right on point. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. Dr. Lipp did the actual injection and he was very good at explaining what he was doing. I felt bad when I hit the roof, I think he flinched not knowing what I was going to do next (because he wasn’t done!?). He was trying the best he could to help me hang in there and then explain the after care…as I was in tears. All in all, I’m happy with my recovery and the treatment I received.

They give a full and thorough assessment and review of your situation, and detailed instructions on how to work towards recovery. They are timely, prompt, and super professional and thorough. They stand out as some of the best treatments I have had to receive in any clinic or doctor's office. Fantastic experience: I have just completed the GLA:D program for artheritis rehab and strengthening of my core and legs primarily to allow me to continue skiing for a few more years. The staff at Innovative Sport Medicine were very professional, the program was very well run, and the results were outstanding. Before and after testing indicated positive results and my skiing has definately improved. I am 80 years old and with this program and the exercises that I will continue to do, I hope to be able to ski for a lot more years.

Negative experience: Referral was sent by Dr. Did their online survey within 2 days. And waited. After almost a month I called to see what was going on. Told it was a 10 week wait to get an assessment depending on what they felt the need for treatment was. And what a surprise, my online assessment was just reviewed. They could now book an appointment for 10 weeks out. No communication at all. Must be a clinic out there that actually cares about the patient. This place is certainly not it.

Positive experience: The entire team at Innovative Sport is top notch. Clinic is very well organized and I had no problem getting appointments in a timely manner. Dr. Robinson was very thorough and assisted in navigating available options and procedures. Dr. Lipp’s injections were painless and effective. Fantastic experience: I have had the best care at Innovative Sport Med from Doctors Cale Moore and Chris Lipp. Dr Moore has been patient, thorough, responsive and communicative in the process of diagnosing my injury. Dr Lipp did my injection and while I was so nervous going in, he did a fantastic job in communicating what he was doing, easing my nerves completely. I cannot recommend this clinic, and these doctors enough!

Positive experience: Good clinic with professional doctors, but I think they need to work more on communication skills. My son had his MRI and we had to wait more than 3 weeks to hear back from them ! I had to call them and tell them we have done the MRI and we were waiting to see the doctor, they said ohhh yes we received it .

Fantastic experience: 15 years ago I had a very serious accident that put me in ICU. One result is a very serious shoulder injury that had me living in daily pain for the last 15 years and greatly impacted my ability in my chosen sport. It was time for surgery - or so I thought. Dr. Marcus Robinson set me up with strength and conditioning specialist Adam Wasylyshyn. I’ve done lots of Physio and strength training in my life and had pretty much resigned myself to surgery as nothing had worked up to this point. Adam changed my life - I mean truly changed my life. Through his expert guidance I am now able to compete at a high level in my competitive amateur sport with no pain or hindrance from my shoulder. My daily quality of life is also much improved. It’s astonishing to me how Adam was able to do what no one else could do for me in the last 15 years. I am extremely thankful to Adam Wasylyshyn, Dr. Robinson, and the whole team at Innovative Sports Medicine for what they have done for me.

Positive experience: Physio and massage are incredible. Some of the front desk staff are not the friendliest or most helpful humans. If it wasn’t for the reception they would have a 5.

Fantastic experience: Shari fixed my leg! This is the place to go if you have some kind of leg/knee/hip issue! I was able to do a trail race with no problem today even though I've been having issues with my leg all week before. It's feeling good now. Thank you Shari!

Positive experience: I saw Keith once so far and it was excellent. I've seen a few physios in the past for a chronic injury and he was very informative and knowledgeable comparatively. He was very quickly able to assess what is going on with me and I think he hit the nail on the head! He really knows his stuff. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of my interaction with one of the admin assistants. It was my first time coming to the clinic. I walked in to check in to my appointment with the admin assistant with shoulder length straight dark hair. She didn't greet me (or acknowledge my existence) and didn't make eye contact- her eyes were glued to the computer screen the entire time. When I told her I was new and asked about my appoint she quickly answered without taking her eyes off the comp screen. I felt as if I was inconveniencing her. When I went to reschedule with her after the appointment, same treatment only this time she quickly deferred me to book with the adjacent admin assistant, who was a lot more friendly and personable. My husband goes to the same clinic and shared he had a similar experience with the same admin assistant. Not a great look for being the first point of contact to the clinic.

Fantastic experience: The team at Innovative has gone above and beyond for me. I broke my leg in a few places, and I have had aggressive goals and a very fast timeline for return. Working with Keith as my physio, Caera for blood flow restriction therapy, Adam for strength and conditioning, and Dr. Robinson for everything else. They have been super open with me, very flexible on scheduling, and listening to my goals, likes and dislikes. They have allowed me to take calculated risks when needed, and slowed me down when needed as well. I absolutely would not be healing on my timeline without them. BEST TEAM EVER.

Fantastic experience: The team at Innovative Sport Medicine are truly incredible! I had the pleasure of working with Taylor Pratile for chiropractic and Aaron Ashe for massage. I was intimidated coming to a sports clinic as someone not very sporty, but was immediately made to feel at home with their awesome reception staff. The quality of care I received at this clinic is top notch.

Fantastic experience: This is the only clinic I recommend to my friends and teammates with hockey injuries of any kind. Not only do they get you in very quickly to see a doctor, but they actually listen to you and your needs. I've been to both this clinic and one near U of C for head injuries. The one near U of C pushed medications while Dr Lipp at ISM made a non pharmacological treatment plan that worked well for symptom management. He was also exceptionally easy to see for follow up and more than happy to fill out any documents needed for work.

Negative experience: The lady on the phone is absolutely not professional. I was blown away at how she spoke to me and I'm 30 yr old man that doesn't care about another of things. Insane customer service.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience over the past 7 years with my Sport Med doctor, physiotherapist, and now the Strength and Conditioning coach. It takes a lot for a young guy to get back on his regular routine after two back surgeries, but they've worked with me (and continue to work with me) through each step of the way. A+ all around, would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I have been involved with this clinic for the last 5 years (Several injuries to several joints). I feel cared for because of their collaborative team approach. They’ve got a great relationship with the very near-by Mayfair Diagnostic. Also the doctors work with the other team members: physios, Chiro, massage etc. this may sound like a one stop shop but I fundamentally believe they’ve staffed their clinic with the best of the best! I’ve seen several of the Drs (Robinson, Brett, Meeuwisse, Hunter) in the clinic and I have been impressed with each one. I love that after the appointment they provide you will a summary of an action plan. There’s always so much information and discussion - I appreciate that I have a reference to follow up with at home. They also provide any necessary prescriptions. And if Chiro or physio is recommended they don’t push their clinic on you - they say find a physio of your choice. Thank goodness there’s no pressure - that to me speaks volumes to their confidence in their clinic. I have worked with three different Physios, three different athletic therapists and Dr Cultrera (Chiro) and each one has been fabulous. I feel like they want you on your road to healing but that my time and benefits aren’t wasted with unnecessary appointments. However, if I need support I can call and certainly come in. This may sound somewhat insignificant but in my opinion it is important: they have reserved parking right in front of their clinic and there’s wheel chair spots. Having needed help due to mobility issues - their office makes this easy: from parking stalls with proximity and accessibility to accessible doors and washrooms. The front staff are always cheerful, helpful and efficient. I always feel welcome with their smiles and their genuine interest in my healing. I have nothing but praise for Kathy, Amanda and Tola. I appreciate the ability to book online for physio - I feel it saves me time. That being said there’s no obligation to book online so I will sometimes call. I’ve had two injuries that the clinic were not “specialized enough” (which is completely understandable - hand and jaw) to help me in the clinic. In both these instances they recommended a path to access specific and specialized help for the injury. I did have a very unpleasant experience with the orthotist Carla. It took five visits (only one at Innovative the rest at her other location) and I still did not have splint. I was yelled at, eyes rolled at and she even said “what is it you want?” To which I replied “help.” I was not able to get a brace or splint or referral to have a customized support designed for me. I have worked with orthotists for 30 years and have never been made to feel like Carla made me feel: like I was an idiot, that I wasn’t worth listening to, that I was a nuisance and ultimately she didn’t care. Independently, I was able to connect with someone else and I had a customized support built in one hour. I asked a colleague who has also attended innovative and I asked about their experience and they said “innovative is great - Carla not so much. I try to be polite as I’m a bit afraid but I don’t think she actually cares.” While I am somewhat comforted by someone else sharing a similar experience - I hope that Innovative will consider adding a compassionate, innovative and inquisitive orthotist to their team. I’ve asked hundreds of questions and I need time in my appointments to ensure understanding and I’ve never felt rushed or dismissed by any doctor, athletic therapist, physio, chiropractor or front staff. I recommend this clinic to anyone who requires a team of experts to get back to your baseline before injury. This collaborative team will get you back to where you were and empower you to be stronger than before.

Fantastic experience: Expert integrated sports medicine that will work with you as a team. No need for separate disciplines of M.D., physio, chiro, massage and trainer. This is the go-to for athletes.

Negative experience: I have been to over 6 clinics for my physio over the course of 3 years now, since my job requires me to move around a lot. This, by far is one of the most disorganized clinics I've been to. The doctor I was referred to was fine, but the receptionists booked me in with him twice, made me wait 2-3 weeks each time for the appointments with that doctor (which is fine, people have wait times) and then would call me a day before and say "yeah he is still on vacation so lets rebook you for another day, we forgot to let you know." This has been on going for over 4-6 months now. The girls at the reception are extremely unprofessional and quite honestly uneducated in the simplest of ways. They required a form to be sent to them and I emailed it over 3 times, and gave it in person once, to which after each attempt they said they got it and then the next week they said they haven't received anything. For one of my appointments they booked me out 2 weeks in advance, told me it was a sports med appointment and then the day before told me it was physio and i needed my preapproval form. With my job that takes 10-12 days to be approved from Ottawa, thats time I could have saved if I was told at the previous appointment. After all this, I told the staff to be more organized and requested they make me aware when the doctor is away on vacation still or in Vancouver, not a DAY before my appointment so now im left waiting another month for an appointment. After all this, (which I have documented and recorded most of) they had the nerve to call my place of work and say I was "Loud" over the phone. Never coming back here.

Fantastic experience: I will never go anywhere else for physio or Sports Medicine Doctors. I have been seeing Lori & Dr. Brett for years and both have been a HUGE advocate in my treatment. With having 2 shoulder surgeries, and a knee surgery Dr. Brett has made sure I am with the best surgeons and I trust him with all of my injuries as he makes sure I am heard and not just another case. Lori has been a miracle worker and makes sure that any of my concerns about my recovery are put to ease and never rushes with treatment, she always takes her time and ensures the exercises given are beneficial and help you get back to where you want to be. Both Dr. Brett & Lori work WITH you not against you. The front staff are always friendly and helpful and with a busy clinic they always make sure you are taken care of. I will recommend Innovative to everyone and anyone

Fantastic experience: I was in total crisis a few months back, Dr. Robinson fast trqcked me to an MRI resulting in a emergency surgery. If not for him and the fine folks at Innovative Sport Med. I would still be waiting for a initial consult. Great team from the ladies Tola & Amanda up front... the therapists Jordan & Josh... then there is Dr. Robinson accolades to this man and his team.

Fantastic experience: I was really impressed with the super professional service to diagnose my knee injury (completely torn ACL). They had both a medical doctor and physio review my injury then put their heads together for the diagnosis and path forward. After the diagnosis I saw Adam for personal training for pre-op knee strengthening, had my surgery, then back to Adam once I was recovered enough to start serious strength training. Adam has been excellent to work with. My post op recovery was way faster than expected (even the surgeon was impressed how ahead of the curve I was in my recovery) and I credit most of that to the targeted strengthening Adam had me doing before my strengthening. My post-op strengthening has also been wildly successful and I'm feeling much stronger after just 2 months.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Robinson and Katelyn for my left shoulder (I have ‘frozen shoulder’) and I cannot say enough about the care I have received at Innovative Sport Medicine. Fantastic experience: I am 64 years young and I had experienced a strain in my knee pinching my meniscus. Dr. Robinson and Jordan have put me on an ISM knee rehab program, starting with Level 2 and now progressing to Level 3. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Innovate Sport Medicine for over a year now to investigate some knee issues I have experienced for over 2 years now. I am so grateful my Physiotherapist put me in touch with Dr Robinson. Marcus is incredibly smart and so in tune with athletic injuries. He knows his anatomy so well and explains in great detail what is happening during movement. He has asked great questions to get me thinking about my injuries. He has changed my mindset and given me a realistic outlook toward moving forward with my activities as I age. I have received multiple very safe injections from him and his team and it has been life changing for me. I have hope that I will be able to continue being active and doing all the things that make me happy. Dr Robinson and his team are thorough, to the point, and very respectful. The entire office staff is always hustling to coordinate the many patients coming and going. The set up through Covid has been very safe, clean and efficient so I never wait long to get into my appointments. Thank you so much Dr Robinson for helping me get my running knees back on track. I am so grateful.

Fantastic experience: Went in to ISM a about a month ago because I couldn't straighten my knee from a sudden sports injury. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly, schedule me an MRI, and refer me to a surgeon who operated less than 2 weeks later. Couldn't be happier with how fast and accurate they were with everything. Thansk ISM!

Fantastic experience: I love visiting this clinic! It has everything I need. Dr Robinson is fantastic, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. His patient demeanour puts you at ease and make you feel like a priority as he doesn’t rush you in and out. I’ve also been to physio there and Tlaia (sp?) was amazing.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to them by my physician as I have arthritis in the knees and it was really hindering my ability with sports/ recreational activities. I was put under the Care of Doctor Marcus Robinson and physio Shari Macdonald. Over 6 months later I am a in a much better space. They take a holistic professional approach to your health and well being. I high recommend them and their always friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: I sustained a severe lower back injury and was in such agony but had Ken as my Physiotherapist who was very professional and his treatment methods worked also the reception staff is very helpful and accomodating .I highly recommend the clinic and Ken.

Fantastic experience: Both my husband and my son (age 14) have experienced the thorough and genuine care of the team at Innovative Sport Medicine. We have worked with Dr. Lipp, Lori in physiotherapy and Josh in athletic therapy, and always come away from our appointments with excellent advice and tools based on their amazing knowledge base. Even my 14 year old son is impressed (which is hard to do, he's 14 after all). He actually listens to Lori and does his physiotherapy exercises-she has a knack for developing rapport with teens. The front desk staff are kind and helpful and provide a warm welcome to the care you will receive. The place is spacious and exceptionally clean, which is always reassuring during covid times. It was so convenient to be able to 'self-refer' after injury. I can't recommend this entire clinic enough and would not hesitate to send any member of my family there for assistance.

Positive experience: I have been seeing Dr. Robinson for the ongoing management of knee problems. He is very professional and thorough. Dr Robinson has offered excellent explanations for all my treatment options. My treatments have been well coordinated - such as exercise programs from a physiotherapist as well as receiving injections for inflammation. I find the educational component during my treatments extremely beneficial.

Fantastic experience: I have a dislocated shoulder, it finally gave up while exercising & gardening, August of last year. I have a cm divot in the ball/socket so it slips out of place on a regular basis. I was referred to Dr.Robinson by my GP and I am so glad he did! Everyone is upbeat, helpful, from the front desk right to the Doctors. Dr. Robinson is crazy knowledgeable, down to Earth, funny & so encouraging. I have stacks of simple stretches & exercises to do at home, to teach my surrounding muscles to work differently to support the shoulder & correct my posture. (I always had great posture, years of walking with the encyclopedia balanced on my head (thx mom) & drill but life happens!) Now I have heart failure so the shoulder has to wait... I've got my plan & an open door to come back for more direction at any time. Thank you Dr. Robinson. I look forward to next time. On a scale of 1-10, he's 11⭐'s!

Fantastic experience: I used the physician and physiotherapist services at ISM after I injured my knee and torso in a sports accident. I had tears to the ACL-MCL-Meniscus in one knee. I picked ISM due to positive reviews and because they gave me a fast appointment after the injury. Their plan used physiotherapy and a brace to maximize recovery then resort to surgery for things that didn't heal. They constantly adapted the physio as I recovered; they gave me at least 7 different programs over 6 months. They consulted by phone when I traveled. My injuries eventually healed without surgery. I was delighted with the results.

Fantastic experience: I am a competitive age-group marathon runner who has utilized the services of three of the Innovative Sports Doctors! The first and second occasions (Achilles tendinosis-Dr Brett- and a foot fracture-Dr Wowk) led to excellent outcomes. The third-Dr Robinson- still in progress, requires surgery. It is not only the professional competency that has impressed me, but also the personal caring nature of the service. I am also grateful for the speedy referrals to other specialists. I am also grateful for the ongoing physiotherapy from Talia Campbell. Scheduled to run in the World Marathon Championships in London in 2021, it is in no small part due to the Team at Innovative Sport Medicine that such an option can even be considered a possibility. Fantastic experience: Excellent service, professional and expert care. No big sales push, and provide comprehensive care (sports docs, massage, etc.). I came for physio since it's near my house and I play sports avidly so need to get things back to playing level. Talia C. did an excellent job (but I'm sure they all do the same); thorough assessment, quality care and treatment, and most of the physios have graduate degrees in their field. I love the notion of 72 hour emergency care / treatment, as well.

Fantastic experience: Mayfair Location: I have started taking my son to this agency and they are the best! The physiotherapist "Ben Nguyen" is great. He looked at my sons file in advance and did research for the best treatment and explained everything to him and myself. I really feel that he cared and I would recommend him to everyone!!

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Innovative since their startup. I have found the services to be both convenient and thorough. My Doctor has worked with me through many different injuries with the best of care. The referral process for any additional help (IE, physio, massage etc) has been first rate. The doctor knows the resources available and sends me to the best person for the issue at hand. Where other medical professionals have told me to dial it back due to age and other issues, I get nothing but positive reinforcement from the Innovative professionals. If you are in need of assistance with sports injuries of any type, I would highly recommend them...

Fantastic experience: My experience at Innovative Sports Medicine (Mayfair) was very positive. Right from the front desk when I called to seeing my massage therapist Tim. I had fallen on my right shoulder on the ice just after Christmas. I was in a lot of pain from my neck, shoulder, down my right arm and into my shoulder blade. I wasn’t expecting to have any relief but I was wrong. Tim interviewed me and then got to work. After 3 appointments and stretching exercises and heat I am pretty much back to normal. I am so grateful for Tim helping me. He is definitely a credit to his profession. DrindaW
