On the Ball Pediatric Physio and Occupational Therapy

Fantastic experience: We’ve always had a great experience with the On the Ball team in Kanata. It’s one of my child’s favourite places to visit. Thanks so much to Amanda, Emily, Kristi and the rest of the team also!

Fantastic experience: We’ve had a wonderful experience with Mariam who is helping us with our son’s core strength. We came in because he has been dealing with chronic constipation for a very long time and she did the assessment and has been working with us for over a month now. She is so wonderful with kids, is patient when I have to bring my younger son along for the appointments, and although we have a long way to go as far as “solving” his constipation issues but I do think the sessions have been helping with his core strength. We would highly recommend going to see her

Fantastic experience: Liane was so patient with my son, took the time to explain to me and him all the little details we needed. She made sure to add play in with the "work". Front admin staff, patient, smiley and never make you feel rushed! We are thankful for the whole place.

Her observations and recommendations were thoughtful, insightful, and clearly based on a deep understanding of my child’s needs. I highly recommend her services to any family!

Fantastic experience: I just started taking my 2 month old baby for neck tension issues. Kristi is non judgemental , informative and super helpful. After the first appointment I knew I made a good decision to see a physiotherapist. I saw improvement right away. I look forward to our weekly appointments.

She was gentle and sweet with my baby and also informative and helpful with me. She made sure I felt comfortable with the stretches, holds, and exercises. Fantastic experience: My daughter sees Nadine at On the Ball. After exploring many options, we could not be happier we found Nadine. She is a wonderful paediatric physio therapist. Not only is she thorough in her explanations to us (in regards to her plan), she is so welcoming & friendly to our daughter. She looks forward to her appointments with Nadine because she makes her comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Fantastic experience: We were referred to Jordan at ON THE Ball, from a great friend of ours. My daughter who does power tumbling and cheer, had broken her femur bone, growth plate, and dislocated her knee. My daughter relates to Jordan with her background, which has made it much easier for my daughter to trust in her. By our second visit she had my daughter working on her specialty’s again, which is truly a god sent ! I expected this to take months not only physically but mentally. We as a family feel very blessed and lucky to have Jordan as a physiotherapist, and we will always recommend her.

Fantastic experience: We just started OT for my 5 year old ASD daughter with Kristina Klinovski and my only wish is that we started sooner. Kristina is so patient, kind and thorough, I feel like I learn something new every time we have a session. I’m looking forward to our next sessions.

Fantastic experience: We have been looking for a physiotherapist for our daugther for 2 years and tried so many places and all of them, how would I say it politely, were not good enough. To be honest I had no expectations when we came to "on the ball". However, to my surprise the movement assesment was beyond and above! Not to mention the personalized exersise program Nadine created for us! On top of that, my 5 years old was super excited, liked exercises and does them at home with pleasure!!! I am more than happy to recommend this place to all my friends You are literally the best!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: Jen and Emily from ‘On the Ball’ were absolutely fantastic as my daughter Luisa's occupational therapists this summer. Both of them brought so much patience, understanding, and positivity to every session. They really took the time to connect with Luisa and tailored the therapy to her unique needs, making such a difference in her progress. ♥️ Luisa always looked forward to her sessions, and it’s been amazing to see how much she’s grown thanks to Jen and Emily’s support. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience – they truly made a huge impact! Highly recommend them both!!!!

Positive experience: Great experience so far with Mariam. I am 4-5 sessions in. She is great with babies/toddlers! She knows how to get my 18 month old to push through the exercises while having fun Noticed a great improvement.

Fantastic experience: This has been our go to clinic for the past 5 years or so for Physio and OT. We lately have worked with Emily (OT) and Kristie (Physio) , and have nothing but great things to say. Our son has developed a lot with the help of Emily over the past few months to levels we did not dream possible. Their admin team is also very committed and professional. I would highly recommend this group of dedicated staff to anyone needing support for their developing child.

Kristi has helped push Cheo to getting our son in quickly and questioned results until we got on the right track with getting him diagnosed. She is so kind and caring towards my son but also has so much knowledge regarding the care he needs. She gives me new exercises every time we are together to do with him. The space is very clean and they do sanitize it.

Fantastic experience: My daughter received treatment for her badly sprained ankle. Kristi is amazing, professional and very knowledgeable. She knew exactly upon examining my daughter that it was a grade 3 sprain and gave us exercises. She engaged my daughter by talking about some of her favorite things (Harry Potter, star wars and karate). My daughter is actually excited to go see Kristi and do physio! After the first session she is already showing signs of improvement of range of motion. I will definitely be going back to Kristi and this establishment if my daughters need more physio in the future. The front staff is great as well!

Fantastic experience: Sarah W. is so wonderful with my 5 year old son. She is very patient and always gentle with her approach. On the Ball has a great set up! They have really perfected their approach. We previously were with a different OT and it was not even in the same ball park for how wonderful our experience has been with Sarah.

Fantastic experience: Michelle was very knowledgeable and provided great care and instructions for my 5 day newborn with shoulder dystocia. I appreciated how she suggested I make a video to remember the exercises to do at home with my son.

Fantastic experience: This is our third session with Myriam, and we are so glad that we found her. We've learned more from her in one session than we have learned in several from non-private OT. She has been very knowledgeable and informative, and our son is responding very well to her and her strategies.

Fantastic experience: I am experiencing a rapid recovery of mobility within 2 weeks for my dislocated right arm The exercises suggested provide the gentle steady stretching while protecting the joint from any additional injury. The videos demonstrate each exercise and the daily chart helps to record progression as to difficulty. Virtual appointments are effective and convenient. Fantastic experience: We've had great experiences there both in-person, and now with the need for everyone to stay home, on-line as well. It's great that we can continue getting these quality services for our daughter from home with our occupational therapist face-to-face online!

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been doing OT at On the Ball for over 2 years and it's incredible the difference its made in so many ways not only in the skills she had learned but also in helping me understand her needs and be a better parent.  Our OT has helped immensely with sensory integration,  social skills, advocating for her needs at school and helping find additional resources in the community.   You can easily tell that everyone working at the clinic truly cares. This place is special!

Fantastic experience: You will not be disappointed bringing your child here for care. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and are so genuine. They are very good with my 12 year old son that he likes going to see them and does not want to stop treatment. He sees Liane for physiotherapy and Dayna for occupational therapy and they both are super friendly and wonderful. I feel very welcomed when I walk in for our appointment by the ladies at the front. No matter how busy they are I am never ignored and if my day has been rough, they always take the time to listen to my woes. Superior people skills and a super clean environment. Fantastic experience: Our 6 year old son uses On the Ball services for OT and PT. He sees Heather, Amber, and Stephania. He loves everyone who works with him. I am so happy with the services, and we're seeing nice progress in our son! Heather is thorough which I really appreciate. She has been working with my son's school, and speech therapist to ensure we receive a fulsome report for my the school. I highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Amanda, Heather, and Liane are all amazing therapists. I am so impressed with their knowledge on neurological reflexes and rhythmic movement therapy. The kids love going for treatment with them - it's fun! I would highly recommend them for toe walking, anxiety, ADHD, autism, etc.
