She doesn’t just hear me, she truly listens, responds thoughtfully, and adapts my care as needed. Her approach to healing is comprehensive and multidisciplinary, using techniques like the Activator Method, acupuncture, and skin scraping to treat not only the symptoms but also the root causes of my pain. Her compassion and humor shine through in every session, making what could be a daunting experience one of trust and comfort. Dr. Jessie is not only a chiropractor, she’s a healer in every sense of the word. She educates me about my conditions, empowers me with exercises to strengthen my body, and helps me navigate my pain with patience and understanding. Fantastic experience: I had a massage therapy session with Lindsay Meyers and she did extensive C-section scar work on me with the combination of microcurrent point stimulation and cupping. Even with just one session there was a noticeable difference in the mobility of my tissue. She also did some upper back and neck massage on me that was incredible. I highly recommend her! Full disclosure that I'm a colleague of hers, but that doesn't change the fact that I really benefitted from her service.

Negative experience: Friendly front desk girl, very detail job by the chiropractor. However, my concern is the amount of time it takes to process the claim from insurance. It will be great if this clinic provides billing directly to insurance to void the long wait. The reason why I’m saying that is because insurance has made errors on my claim due to this manual process. It wasted a lot of my time chasing after them. Nevertheless, a good place for your body care.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Carrie Johnston throughout this year and she has been a tremendous help with a lot of the issues I have been having. I originally went for knee pain that would impact my workouts, and now I am able to workout pain free. She always suggests exercises and stretches for at home care & injury prevention. It's not difficult to see that Carrie is passionate about her profession & helping her clients recover. Meghan at the front desk is always very friendly and professional too.

Fantastic experience: Our family has received many chiropractic and massage treatments at Foundations over the past two years love the services provided and customer service. The chiropractors rely on a range of soft tissue treatments such at ART to supplement traditional chiropractic treatments.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Johnston is a fantastic chiropractor who is truly interested in seeing her patients get better movement and mobility and live pain free. From early on I have been impressed with her willingness to check in on how the body is doing at each session and modify treatments, introduce exercises, etc. The clinic is also nice to visit with its clean and bright waiting room and individual treatment rooms. I came to Foundations after an assessment with another Ottawa-area chiropractor who ignored my lower back/hip symptoms and wanted to start me on an expensive and intensive year-long therapy plan for neck alignment. Dr. Johnston took the time to listen to my symptoms, observe, and offer a realistic treatment plan which has seen my pain decrease almost to zero within only a few weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Johnston and the extremely friendly team at Foundations!

She is extremely talented and has been able to pin point my issues, address them and provide me with excercises that could help me work on my weak points. She took the time to fully listen to the problem I was having, diagnose the issue, explain her analysis, and develop a treatment plan. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Johnston since 2009 for various ailments and I do not think you could find a more dedicated, friendly, and determined practitioner than her. She is incredibly kind, and not only takes the time to diagnose an issue but also to clearly explain, using visuals (models and textbooks), exactly what is causing your discomfort. She is incredibly kind and responsive, and does not undertake a course of action unless you are comfortable (i.e., adjustments). The office atmosphere is great - it is light and airy. Office location is central with available parking behind the building and on street parking all over the neighbourhood. Her Office Administrator, Anessa, cannot be beat. She is friendly, outgoing, and keeps the wait times very interesting through wonderful conversation. Also, the office's cancellation policy (one hour for chiropractic) is incredibly helpful for busy people who may need to cancel at the last minute. Ultimately, you will not be disappointed and after the first visit, you will be on your way to feeling better - physically and mentally!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carrie is the best chiropractor in town. I initially saw her to treat a concussion. My concussion pain used to be quite severe and nothing was helping (meds, physio) until I started seeing Dr. Carrie. Not only has she helped me manage the pain significantly, but over the years she has treated my aches and pains during two pregnancies. I probably wouldn't be standing without her! If her skills weren't enough, Dr. Carrie is also one of the kindest people I know. She is empathetic, thoughtful and easygoing.
