Positive experience: They ask for payment for 1 or 2 years of service ahead of time. I would like to use this money myself to invest instead of them!!!!!

Negative experience: Assembly line and scare tactics

Positive experience: Doctor knows what he's doing but I didn't find it to be patient-centered care. It felt like an assembly line and everyone got adjusted the same.

Negative experience: They try to use scare tactics and tell you there is this or that wrong with you and if you don’t fix it it will get worse over time. Then they try to sign you up for a year and pay over $4 000. If you tell them you need to think about it they try to push it on you like a salesmen. My issue was solved later on by a personal trainer, found out I just had a muscle knot in my back.

Fantastic experience: I started with spinal garage today, I was taken to the hospital via ambulance on Tuesday. Dr Allan took X-rays, showed me what’s going on and had me back 2 times today. I’m so impressed with the clinic, everyone cares and is fantastic. Even the staff helped me to the clinic from my car. Just for the care I’ve been given they get 5 stars. So far soooo good!

Negative experience: I would avoid the Spinal Garage at all costs. I was a patient at the Spinal Garage a couple years back. I started off seeing Dr. Meredith, who I liked quite a bit. However, after she left the practice I was automatically transferred over to being one of Dr. Alan's patients. I felt he didn't understand my pain and needs nearly as much as Dr. Meredith. You also attend group sessions at the Spinal Garage with different patients to remind you how bad pain medication is, and that their way of performing chiropractic work is the only way to fix any problems you have (going less than 2/3 times a week is apparently a temporary solution). Looking back, it feels like they were presenting this information to you to keep you at the clinic out of fear. At one of these group sessions, I was forced by Dr. Alan to share some personal information with the group. Right after that incident, I had a private meeting in his office where I expressed concern and indicated I was thinking about leaving the Spinal Garage. Instead of trying to figure out why I felt this way, he instantly showed me the door. This was the first chiropractic office I had ever been to, so I assumed this was all normal. I have only recently started speaking to friends and family about it, and when I tell them how the Spinal Garage operates they look at me like I have five heads, and tell me none of my experience was normal. Side note: the front desk staff was always lovely. If they had a separate area for reviews, they'd get 5 stars, but my actual experience with the chiropractor was extremely poor.

Fantastic experience: My hubby and I moved Wellesley last year and needed a chiropractor. We were directed to Dr. Alan O'Connor by a friend. We love how he and Suzanne his wife and staff are so knowledgable, caring and friendly. We are definitely feeling that our backs and necks are in a much better place than a year ago.

Fantastic experience: I used to suffer from daily headaches for half of my life. I was at the Multi-cultural festival 4 years ago and I saw their booth. Not only was I suffering headaches but my one ear was plugged and I was having pain in my right leg making it difficult to walk. I’m so happy I stopped and talked to The Spinal Garage. They listened to me and my symptoms and asked if I would come in. I agreed and so happy I did. I really feel Dr. Alan saved my life. It takes time for your body to heal but it is possible with a chiropractor. My plugged ear went away, pain with my right leg is gone and I very rarely have a headache. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of other chiropractors but this wellness centre is just that a centre of help for your health. They have a wide variety of services available and the staff is caring and trained to treat you. Each patient is unique to this well trained team of professionals. Their general location gives you easy access to care with a large free parking lot. I use to be in a wheelchair and still had some mobility issues. I was walking when I met Dr Alan but still used a crawling position to go up steep stairs. I was unable did not sleep soundly, have digestive issues and suffer from regular migraines. I started feeling better able to walk further in an upright postion, the migraines sub sided and life got better. Two years later I continue my adjustments and no migraines in years, I can sleep soundly and my quality of life has greatly approved. I can walk, ride my motorcycle and now a snowmobile. Dr Alan and his staff work hard to fix the symptoms not mask them! From the minute you walk in the door you will see the smiles and feel the care this team is able to provide you

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for years and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my back. The staff are very friendly and treat you like you’re part of the family. They care about your wellbeing and take the time to get to know you. Dr. O’Connor has many years of experience and greets you with a smile. He gets excited when he sees improvement and encourages you to stay on the current adjustment plan. And there is always a positive message of encouragement on his white board that I look forward to reading during my appointment. When my best friend, who uses a wheelchair, had a dizzy spell around me, I started talking to him about seeing a chiropractor. The day he met Dr. O’Connor was upsetting for him due to finding out that my friend had double scoliosis. 11 years later, my best friend sits in his wheelchair straighter, hasn’t had blackouts or dizzy spells and is able to have a better quality of life. Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with Scoliosis at a young age and truthfully I let it go for years untreated - into my 20’s I’ve constantly suffered with back pain, headaches and sore hips. After working manual labour, 8 Years of competitive running, gymnastics & cheerleading it took its toll. I met the Spinal Garage Team at a Bridal Show in January & I can’t thank my lucky stars enough that I did. I’ve taken back some control on my overall health and resolved issues with my physical wellness I didn’t know I had. Fantastic experience: Dr. Allen is one of the kindest and compassionate Dr.'s I have ever trusted with my health and my families health. As a health care worker (psw) my back was in such bad shape. I would wake up in the morning and need to slide my self out of bed a than push my self to a standing position. Pretty scary for someone in their 30's then my hands began going numb and my arms. I've been under Dr. Allen's care for about 2 years and I have noticed a great improvement. I can get out of bed like a normal person again. And the tingling and numbness in my arms and hands is no longer and issue. Dr. Allen also treats my daughter for migraines that would wake her at odd hours of the night. Honestly if you are ready to better your health the correct way is to see Dr. Allen at the spinal garage. Oh and I can forget about the staff they are so easy to work with in accommodating of your schedule for treatment. They will explain any answer to your question so you can understand the technical terms. You never wait for your appointment.They are very accommodating to your work schedule. Since I have been going here, I have more energy, movement and my hands hardly go numb or tingle like they use to. My hands would be numb and tingle for an hour or more every day. Now it isn't any more then 15 minutes if that or not at all. I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: Before I started seeing Dr Alan I was in so much pain in so many avenues, I thought Lord if You don't put Your hands on me Im never getting better, I found little relief for my pain and suffering. I have had Lyme Disease since I was 10 and am 22 now. With all the unending treatments and worsening years I was hitting a low of barely any relief. I found out through Dr Alan how bad my spine is and how my gut instinct was right my body and brain connection has been cut for YEARS! Within 3 adjustments I woke up with a clean feeling face that didn't burn or wanting to rip my face off for the first time in years… YES 3! Ive told everyone and their mom because this is the place to go, God led me here no doubt about that. I love their whole crew everyone is family and thats how I feel there. When I started seeing Dr. Alan I was amazed at the difference and outcome of my adjustments. I received a complete and thorough assessment including x-rays before I was ever touched by the doctor. Fantastic experience: My experience at The Spinal Garage is just amazing. After only a few adjustments I could feel a difference. I had heartburn on a daily basis and took medication. After the adjustments that was gone. Also headaches, gone. Back pain: much better. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Alan"s concern is the well being off his clients. Even coming from a distance is absolutely worth it.

Negative experience: If you're looking for a quick adjustment that may or may not have a long term effect on your health, this is the place. Have since gone to another chiropractic office whose perspective was to provide treatment and stretches and advice to allow me to visit him as little as possible (ie. Develop healthy habits that promote health fitness and limberness) as opposed to the spinal garage's payment plans that lock you in for a contract of 5 min appointments regularly. I have benefited way more from the advice and stretching tutorials from others than I did from this contractual assembly line that promotes a dependence on continual appointments (labeled a money making scheme by other chiropractors).

Negative experience: The service at Spinal Garage is subpar. Typically there is a 30-50 minute for your appointment. They are great with working with you to financially cover chiropractic care as they have many payment plans. Dr. Alan was efficient at dealing with my migraines, however, when after a year contract I suggested adding massage therapy into my care plan and balancing both chiropractic care and massage therapy, Dr Alan was not receptive. Dr Alan has a his way or the highway type of an approach. The educational evenings were informative but were emotionally manipulating by using fear tactics, especially since we were already committed to chiropractic care. When my husband and I were up for a contract renewal, Dr Alan conveniently located the spot on my husband's back that had been mentioned upon initial consultation but never dealt with. I would not recommend this service.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time! Im a massage therapist, I know how a body should be aligned and can palpate when its not(too bad I can't fix myself) I went in with a really tight mid-back from yard work over the weekend and know my muscles are tight which have pulled my spine in different directions. The chiro examined me then told me he wouldnt adjust me without looking at xrays. I then had to come back later, listen to a talk about how drugs are bad and how 'subluxations' shorten your live with 10ish other people while sitting on on uncomfortable church pews! We were then brought into small rooms where he told me I have a head forward posture, I would need to come in for a year, 3 times a week to start (that's one way to get arthritis in your spine!) or I could go back to my old chiro for "Patch-work"! Needless to say my back is still in a lot of pain!
