Aculife Aurora Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine

Negative experience: I recently had an appointment at aculife and the results were not good. They were, actually very bad. Tight muscles in my left hip, specifically my gluteus medius and gluteus maximus, and left quadricep muscles, caused a very tight IT band and sciatica down my left leg leading to numbness in my left toe. This is why I booked an appointment to have acupuncture. When needles were placed in my right leg I asked why? I was told that my left side of my brain controlled my right side. I know this because of my degrees in kinesiology and psychology. But my injury was not in my right leg or the left side of my brain. It was in muscles in my left hip. I was confused. I had an amazing acupuncture session while travelling in New Zealand a few months earlier and the needles that were being placed on my body at Aculife were not anywhere near where they were placed when I had my treatment in new Zealand. Nevertheless, I let the procedure continue, trusting that the results would be as expected. The next day my entire left foot was numb and I had pain in my lower back, a pain that I did not have when I visited the clinic. The numbness and pain are still in my foot and back as of 3 days later although a bit less than they were the day after I had my treatment. I spent $285 of my yearly $500 insurance coverage and my body is worse off than it was when I came to Aculife for a treatment. I sent an email to the clinic a week after my treatment and have not heard back from them. They seem unconcerned about the results of my treatment. This is not good.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about the wonderful acupuncture treatments I have received from Stephen Lee at Aculife. I was in a serious car accident at the end of November with numerous bruises, head trauma, a couple of hematomas and a very deep cut. I had horrible bruises with hard bumps that I thought would take months to go away but was pleasantly surprised to see my bruising heal so much faster than expected. I had debilitating brain fog and Stephen's treatments helped alleviate the mental fog and extreme fatigue. The cut took 2 weeks to stop bleeding and even though I will have a scar for life, I believe Stephen's treatments have contributed to a less hideous scar. Fantastic experience: I never thought in my life id use acupuncture practices to elevate headache pain. I was sent here by someone I know after I told them the issues I had. They said I should give acupuncture remedies a try to see if it would elevate my headache situation. Thankfully they referred me to aculife. I called aculife to tell them my issues and within two days I was getting treatment for my headaches. After the first acupuncture session I instantly felt better with the combination of less frequent headaches. I haven't been this impressed by a alternative medical practice in a while. I came back due to some physical symptoms where I had unexplained muscle spasms in my entire body (hands, feet, mouth, head, back).It was uncontrollable and non-stop for almost 2 months. It might have been stress related. Within 3-4 sessions the acupuncture cured it and I feel much more calm. I feel calmer after each treatment. Fantastic experience: This is my second time receiving treatment with Dr. Lee. The first time I visited him I was suffering from chronic back pain from previous injuries and severe menstrual cramps. After 10 accunpuncture sessions and some herbal tx I was pain free. I couldnt believe with the severity of my pain that I would finally know what its like to not suffer from all day discomfort. Recently I found out I was pregnant. My morning sickness was an ALL day torture. Headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting every day and all day. I was on the prescribed diclecton and even when i took it with gravol i still got no relief. I lost appetite completely and my diet consisted of popcorn and some crackers. I went back to Dr. Lee in hopes to find some relief as my days were long and miserable. I was truly desperate. Once again I left my first session 60% better and the following day I was 100% better. It was the first time I didn't wake up to puke in my mouth. I've had two sessions so far and have been able to eat more the last couple days than I've eaten since my morning sickness started. This clinic is amazing and if you're looking for acupuncture treatments, You won't find someone better than a true Chinese medicine expert. Fantastic experience: After previous acutpuncture and chiro vists that did little for my back pain I came to Steven. With just three vists my lower back pain has disappeared about 80%. Well worth the money .

Negative experience: I wish I can give them zero star. Very expensive very rude people. After spending more then thousand dollars for my acupuncture zero results and my back pain got worse. They never answer my phone call to ask them why I’m having so much pain after spending so much money they hung up on me they knew my name and number they don’t answer. Very unprofessional please don’t go to this clinic they are fooling people.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, acupuncturist forgot a needle in my ear. I only realized because I went to fix my hair and my ear started bleeding because I swiped it with my hand. Walls are paper thin in this place. I could hear absolutely everything the man in the room next to me was saying. He was never asked to talk quieter. This also does not bode well for patient confidentiality. And it’s not relaxing to lie there and hear someone else talking about their problems. Extremely expensive compared to other places, and so not worth it.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Lee late in 2019 for neck pain. I found the assessment very informative and was curious about treatment. I didn’t mention to him about low back pain I had experienced in the past, however he did pick up on it during my assessment that there was a history (which surprised me!). I signed up for a package of treatments for optimal health. Not only did Dr. Lee help my sore neck, his treatment through my meridian points was also very beneficial for my low back. I find most practitioners only address the area of concern on the initial visit. I feel Dr. Lee delivered so much more, and I am greatful! He is Professional, punctual and friendly. I wouldn’t think twice to seek his treatment in the future.

Fantastic experience: I decided to do the 6 week acupuncture package and I cannot speak highly enough about both Celeste and Stephen and also how I've responded to this. I will admit I was skeptical at first - I had issues with my knee which was healed way faster than I thought it could (pain was minimized during the first treatment) and by the 3rd, non existent! Overall I feel 10x better, various symptoms have drastically improved after years of nothing else working and Celeste and Stephen are absolutely wonderful!

At first Celeste explains everything to me and my treatment. In my first session I slept because I really feel relief. I like doing my treatment here since they give you a warm and friendly welcome, plus the ambiance, and specially the treatment for my migraine. To be honest my migraine was treated after a few sessions. Whenever I came here after the treatment I really feel like in good condition. I will definitely recommend Aculife acupuncture. Fantastic experience: I've heard about acupuncture treatment from other people and some friends but have was a little sceptical. Due to tension on my neck which caused constant headaches for about 1 week. I took muscle relaxant, advil, tylenol etc. and even a massage. Didn't really help, so finally decided to try acupuncture treatment for the 1st time. 1st session noticed significant reductions of my headache and stiffness of my neck muscles. 2nd session which was the next day, the same evening headache was completely gone with minor stiffness. Fantastic experience: Hello, I am a 19 year old young man in the HVAC trade. I have tried everything, physio, chiropractors, Osteopath. Honestly nothing has helped me nearly as much as aculife. Fantastic experience: Started going to Aculife middle of November with numbness in my hands, left arm and side. After about 6 visits numbness on arm and side started to go away and now after 9 visits feeling much better. Dr Park and Dr Lee are fantastic. Fantastic experience: Stephen has been a great find! He is very attentive and listens to all my concerns regarding my chronic health issues. He has rid me of the ringing in my ears and minimized my chronic back and neck pain to almost nothing. I use to spend $3-400/ month for stockings/cream/drops/massages to try to control the chronic secondary lymphodema; now I only go once every 2 weeks to see Stephen and my lymphodema is in complete control. Fantastic experience: This was my first experience with TCM. I was a bit nervous to try acupuncture but Dr Lee was extremely gentle and patient with all of my concerns. After only 2 weeks of treatments i began to feel better. I highly recommend Aculife.

Fantastic experience: Great clinic. Great practitioners. I've been to other acupuncture clinics but this one is different. The treatment includes acupuncture sessions and daily Chinese medicine doses. The area of pain is not the site of where the acupuncture treatment occurs (like previous experiences) but the pain seems to correspond to level of organ function and the acupuncture treatment seems to tackle that and as a result treats the pain. Fantastic experience: I have chronic asthma with many health issues. I’m a fairly athletic senior female and thought I was doing everything for my health - eating more or less healthy, getting regular chiro and massage treatments but I would suffer bronchitis a few times a year. I was a regular user of puffers and antihistamines and allergy pills and I was tired of the constant breathing problems.
