Fantastic experience: I had my first session with Marinus yesterday after weeks of an incredibly sore upper back/ neck and, truthfully, years of sore hips and back. The first ten or fifteen minutes of the session were painful but it lessened gradually and I felt a marked difference overall by the end of the hour. Fantastic experience: One day this Spring I made the huge mistake of washing the car. Afterwards I could not walk nor stand up straight. The pain!! I had been told of Marinus and his work . I made an appointment with him the very next day. His treatment, I thought was very painful at first, but nothing compared to the pain I had. Two days after the treatment I was able to walk again, still a little bent over. I saw him the following week for a second treatment. Within another two days I was walking up straight, no pain in my back. Marinus is very polite and a wonderful gentleman. Some of my friends have also seen him. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Only good things. The parking was not the nightmare I thought it might be. Social interactions were pleasant, professional the whole time. He was sociable while still being a person who was giving professional service, not a friend casually helping me stretch. Very efficient, too. Was careful to be mindful of boundaries, and knew how to ask without making it weird. (Stretching the chest) Did not use up a lot of time with chit chat either. The appointment was spent getting down to the brass tacks of making my body right.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Marinus at suggestion of a friend. I was in agonizing pain due to sciatica and other tight muscle and knee issues, which many physiotherapy sessions did not ease. I have seen significant improvement in just four osteopathy treatment sessions with Marinus. He is very knowledgeable and caring. He explained to me the connection between different parts of the body and how a pain in one area may be due to tightness or problems in another area. He should me a number of exercises to do at home which are very helpful. Highly recommend him.

He took the time to understand my situation and his treatment was helpful. His method is hands-on and he seems to really understand the mechanics of the human body. Fantastic experience: After 6 months of aggravated neck pain and excruciating arm pain that twice week chiropractic adjustments and weekly Physiotherapy could not resolve I decided to try an osteopath as I was getting no relief, my range of motion was almost zero with one arm and maybe 20% with the other. I was unable to function. I was in agony with bilateral frozen shoulder and I felt hopeless and so frustrated. My first session at Balanced Life was life changing as I left there with immediate results, more range of motion, less pain and felt energized and hopeful for days after and finally was able to get better sleep. It's just been 6 weeks and I can feel such a difference in my entire body as well as my arms and shoulders, my range of motion is almost normal and I no longer have chronic neck pain, which I've had for years.I am quite impressed. If you suffer and nothing else has worked I suggest booking an appointment ASAP.

Negative experience: Well I’m very disappointed. I don’t know if I went to a different office or an alternate universe? The office floor was dirty as I looked down at it while I was on my stomach being pulled every which way but loose. I saw lots of debris, it looked like housekeeping wasn’t done in a while? Marinus used a sheet on the table and it moved all over the place. At the end I didn’t feel any relief, and I wasn’t asked if I wanted to book another session or what to expect after the treatment. It was not very professional at all, he wasn’t what I expected from the website. Maybe it’s partly due to the pandemic but I really don’t know. The reviews on line are pretty positive, my experience wasn’t good.

Fantastic experience: I'm not one to write many reviews, but I have to say, Marinus is honestly one of the best! I had never tried Osteopathy before - when I went in, my main goal was to alleviate some of the pressure on my spine and lower back caused from sitting down for long periods of time (that occurred over many years) . After the first session with Marinus, I felt like a brand new person! I had no idea just how tight my entire back was and on top of that - I got the added bonus of all of a sudden being able to breathe better. I didn't even know that was even an issue?!? I have seen him now twice and both times have been excellent! In addition to the great service, Marinus is also extremely knowledgeable in everything to do with the body/muscles/how everything connects. He is also an excellent listener - there were a couple of times where he would be working on a specific location and I'd say - oh, I forgot, I have an issue in another area... he would take that information and actually do something about it right away. I can't say enough about his services! I would recommend him a million times over! 11 out of 10 stars for sure! In addition to this - his office is very clean, bright and inviting. I will 100% be going back.. probably several more times! I know it's not a good comparison, but he did more for me in one session than all the Registered Massage Therapists I've seen put together have done in the past 10+ years! Thanks again Marinus! Fantastic experience: We came to Marinus because my son has had back and hips issues due to growing pains and being an athlete that trains daily. Marinus was very professional and helped him with motion and pain. After the 1st session he felt a huge change in mobility and the pain was a lot better. We had tried physio, chiro and RMTs but nothing helped like osteopathy.

Negative experience: I don’t think he knows how to do the osteopathy. I had bad experience and the environment is disgusting. So I had to drive 5 hours to go to the GTA to see other osteopathy who I visited before.

Fantastic experience: I have had lower back pain for almost a year, worsening every month to the point of sharp shooting pain and loss of mobility which obliged me to take off of work. After trying a chiropractic therapist and 2 physiotherapists already, I decided to try Osteopathy. Osteopathy performed here by Mr. van Aarle has been extremely beneficial. I felt results instantly after the first session with him and am very grateful to have stumbled upon his treatment. I cannot recommend Mr. Van Aarle enough.

Fantastic experience: This was my first experience with an Osteopath. I came to Marinus because of a back spasm so severe that left me unable to move or sleep for 4 days. By the end of my first session, my pain had improved so dramatically that I nearly fell asleep on the table. I came back for a second session a few days later and it helped even further. He was able to identify the sources of my issues and the stretches I needed to be doing. I've never been more impressed with an Allied Health professional and I'll definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: First time having Osteopath treatment after dealing with a work related injury that left me with excruciating muscle pain. After trying Physio for 2 months, Massage Therapy and Chiropractor there was no progress at all. After my first session I felt almost instant relief. My pain went straight from 10/10 to 3/10. I was able to sleep and walk without a cane and tolerate modified hours at work. Marinus is very attentive, accommodating and quick to reply when you contact him. Excellent location and a very nice and clean space. Friendly and genuine practitioner that makes one feels in good hands. From now on I will be telling everyone in my circle and at work about Osteopath treatment as an alternative as it combines pretty much all techniques in a very natural way.

Fantastic experience: Marinus knows well his profession; with him you are in good hands! I went there the first time because I had pain in my lower back for months. I already went to massage therapists a couple of times without concrete results. After only one visit with Marinus Osteopath my pain was over. Fantastic experience: I hurt my lower back once again a few days ago. Bent down the wrong way. I could hardly walk and was very crooked. I called Marinus (1st time patient) the next morning and he took me in right away. He is very knowledgeable and I had a 1 hour treatment with him. The following morning I was walking around a lot better and back was much straighter. I seen him 48 hours later for 2nd treatment and following morning my back was even better. I will be recommending him to my friends for sure.

Marcel was thoughtful and made a big effort to make me feel comfortable - spending a lot of time taking my history so he could thoroughly understand the origins of my pain and letting me know what osteo was and how he could help. His manipulations were slow and methodical - because he took his time to get a sense of where exactly my sensitivities too. I came away feeling 100% better. My hip and back pain are better and since my first treatment I would say reduced by as much as 50%. He gave me great takeaways which kept the pain manageable. I have not been able to book in a second appointment due to a host of factors but will be seeing him again.
