If you don’t have time for yo-yo dieting, counting calories or lengthy workouts then we have you covered. PTK has had the same level of client success in half the time as traditional personal training.We maximize your results with effective 30 minute training sessions scheduled more frequently throughout the week. This allows you to schedule your health and fitness in as an important weekly task, without taking hours out of your day for workouts.

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I have been doing personal training with Personal Training Kingston since February of 2025. The atmosphere within the facility is positive and friendly. Conner has been our personal trainer and he has been fantastic! Fantastic experience: I joined PTK fitness in August 2023. My goal was to regain strength and flexibility that I had lost during the challenging work-from-home COVID years. Trevor understands exactly what I need and has developed a program for me which is building my strength and flexibility. I look forward to my workout sessions every week and always feel so good after my workout. The entire team is very friendly and welcoming, the facility is beautiful! Fantastic experience: As far as Personal Training goes, PTK, hands down is Top Tier. Having seen PTs at the gym before and also other fitness locations in general, you can really appreciate the time and energy they've put into their equipment. The facility is it's own character and is always immaculate. They offer their own app which is amazing. And they are first and foremost in the business of Personal Training, so you get their full attention to your goals. You will never feel like you are a second thought, or just another person they check off the list for the today. I train with Connor, and he's more than a trainer, he is also a therapist and overall just an amazing person! He pushes me for sure (definitely silently sneaks in extra weight when you aren't looking), but also knows exactly when not to and when I need a break, even though I don't think I do. I would hands down recommend PTK to anyone that is looking to prioritize and invest in themselves.

Fantastic experience: 3 months ago my girlfriend and I started going to PTK. The orientation completed by Trevor was great he asked us about what our goals are, our current lifestyle, and eating habits. We were then paired up with Conner our trainer. Conner has been amazing he developed weekly workouts specific to our goals. He is extremely encouraging and flexible when it comes to booking workouts. Fantastic experience: I started working with my trainer Sarah at PT Kingston about 9.5 months ago and have done 2 to 3 sessions a week with her since. I chose this gym because it felt very comfortable and not intimidating like others I have tried. The staff are there to work with you on your own personal goals, whether that be weight loss, injury recovery, building strength, etc. Working 1:1 with a trainer is so helpful for me to create external accountability. Fantastic experience: Trained with Trevor 4 years ago and decided I was too busy with training. Over the last 4 years tried two other trainers/locations with really no results and always feeling like ah I have to go to train. 4 weeks ago, said enough is enough, I need to get my health in order. I’ve come back here to Personal Training Kingston and to train with Trevor, and wow already seeing some results and feeling great. Trevor takes time to ensure proper techniques and nutrition as well. Fantastic experience: I absolutely love PTK. This place is where you want to go if you’re looking for a supportive and encouraging environment to improve your health & fitness. Going to this place 2 times a week for 30 mins has totally transformed my life. I feel so confident and strong and I have so much more energy. I have an ounce in my step! I can do like 30 push-ups now and before I couldn’t do any. Trevor, Terra, Megan and Sarah are extremely knowledgeable, kind, friendly and easy to talk to. These guys are pros. The place is super clean and feels like a cross between a spa and a gym. Terra is helping me train for a 1/2 marathon and helping me with my nutrition.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Trevor for six months and am extremely happy with my results, his coaching style and support, and the beautiful space that is PTK! Trevor is very knowledgeable and personable but also very patient. He has coached me through rehabbing a shoulder injury and I was very confident with his knowledge that we would be able to train and strengthen and not reinjure it. Six months in I am stronger than ever and back to normal. PTK is the only gym offering personal training WITH nutritional coaching included and I have loved this program! I am gluten and dairy free and he has been able to provide ongoing coaching and support. I am down 20 pounds and many inches. Finally, the gym space is stunning, modern and has many extra touches that make it unlike any other gym. This all adds up to a coach, program, space and community that I am happy to recommend to others!

Fantastic experience: Update: It is coming up to a year now since I joined PTK and it is by far one of the best decisions I've ever made regarding my health. I've lost 70 pounds since joining (100 pounds in total) and I keep getting fabulous results. The weight loss has been at a steady rate and sustainable but just as important have been the improvements to mobility, energy levels, positivity, self-confidence, and strength. Trevor and his team are great to work with and work with you to come up with a realistic plan based on where you are at. When I first started I was extremely limited in what I could do and never felt judged for it. Now I'm doing stuff I never thought possible just months ago and am always looking forward to the next step on this journey. I am the best shape of my adult life by far and highly, highly recommend PTK to anyone who is thinking of making similar changes in their life. My experience with PTK has been exceptionally positive and I recommend them to anyone who is looking to make transformative fitness changes in their lives. By way of background, I am in my mid-forties and have been obese and out of shape for most of my adult life. In my twenties and thirties I managed to avoid many of the negative consequences of my poor choices but for the past few years I've experienced worsening joint point, reduced mobility, elevated blood sugars (pre-diabetic), low energy, irritability, and fewer and fewer activities I could participate in. I didn't want to maintain the status quo but my previous weight loss attempts were solo, unfocused, and inconsistent so I knew I had to try a different approach this time. A friend recommended PTK to me and I reached out to them. I met with Trevor at the studio for an hour and half (free) initial consultation and assessment to determine where I was at and to discuss my goals. I was immediately impressed that the proposed approach was tailored to me, data driven, and included not just a focus on weight training and weight loss but also on mobility, stability, flexibility, and nutrition. I signed up for the six-month plan and my experience has been great. All my sessions, but one, have been with Trevor (Sara was great too!) and he has been professional, friendly, attentive, and supportive. I've got exactly what I was hoping for - live feedback on my form so I'm maximizing the effectiveness of each exercise and avoiding injury (acute or repetitive strain), encouraging me to push to and past my perceived limits while not going overboard, practical and actionable nutritional advice, and building my knowledge base over time so I can do these things independently. I've made better than expected gains on the weight loss, strength gains, and just overall feel a lot more energetic and positive. Most importantly I feel like this approach is permanent and sustainable, not just a deprivation based weight loss spike down followed by gaining it all back a few months later. For all those reasons I highly recommended PTK if you are looking to make substantive, positive fitness changes in your life.

Hi Megan, it’s unfortunate that our offerings did not meet your expectations. As we offer personal training, our space does not provide the same amount of equipment as a gym would (rows of single purpose equipment for large numbers of people). Our business model does not require a large footprint and the amount of people we service is much lower (quality over quantity). We spent over $50,000 on top tier equipment that is multi-functional and can be used in many different ways. Our clients come to us to learn how to move their bodies, it’s why their results are superior.
All of our trainers have a high amount of education and are required to continue learning. Standard gym trainers are only required to have a weekend certification to train people. Our resources are put into educating our clients and providing them with the best possible coaching experience.
The space we were renting out of before was shut down abruptly during Covid. We pivoted into the only space available until our commercial unit has been built. This next space will be over 1500 sqft. Regardless, we will never provide a gym membership model because we are an exclusive personal training studio. We offer premium level personal training and nutrition coaching in a space that is private, non-intimidating and exceptionally clean.
The $60 you paid is not a cancellation fee. In the contract you signed, it states that if you sign up for a 6-month package and decide to cancel early, you are required to pay back the discount you had been given for your commitment to a longer package. You received $30 off per month and you only completed 2 months of your 6-month commitment. Therefore, you had to pay back $60 for the 2 months you received the discount. Most PT contracts require you to pay the entire package and will send it to collections when it's not. We feel our cancellation policy is very fair and I am positive you would prefer paying back your discount instead of being on the hook to pay for your entire commitment.
We are always improving our resources for our paying customers. We even just outfitted our cardio area with Peloton, allowing for clients to use the equipment and app at no extra cost.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Trevor for about a year now(minus some months when the world shut down). Results have been great, he has a lot of good recipes I've tried to go along with my goals that we set out at the beginning. With Covid putting a strain on everything, the team has done an excellent job keeping everything clean and people safe. The gym is also a great atmosphere with a lot of friendly people to encourage everyone to do their best.

Fantastic experience: Kyle Leader was my personal trainer for over two years. I can highly recommend him as a trainer, as well as a truly good person to be trained by. Kyle gave me a positive outlook on my physical health, changing my routine and diet to be healthier; a change that has stuck and is now a new normal in my life. He pushed me in all the right ways in the gym, and it was shocking to see how fast results could come. What truly sets Kyle apart from other trainers though is his attitude. My training sessions were never a part of the week I was dreading, though the workouts were often quite straining. They quickly became a part of the week I looked forward to, and that was completely due to his positive outlook and friendliness. Working out with Kyle was more than just an hour workout. There would be constant discussion balanced between tips pertaining to fitness and health and conversation unrelated to the workout at hand, which really boosted motivation walking through the door. Kyle is flexible, hard-working, and motivated, but above all he is optimistic, and he carries himself in that way. He’s optimistic about your growth, and genuinely cares that you succeed in finding it. Best trainer I could’ve asked for!

Fantastic experience: As a client of Trevor’s for over the past three years, I cannot say enough about how excellent a trainer he is! He continues to be supportive, helps me with a variety of health and fitness goals and overall has encouraged me to have more personal and body confidence in myself! Fantastic experience: It has been very rewarding working with Trevor this past year. I have gone to other trainers in the past but none even compare to Trevor. My sessions are always unique, I have never had the same one twice, and the focus on certain muscle groups are also ever changing. I notice he doesn’t do the same workout for other clients that are either before or after me. This is encouraging as I know he has planned a session unique to me and my goals. Immediately working with Trevor I noticed he is very focused on proper technique and correcting in a positive encouraging manner. His knowledge of the physical body and nutrition were evident from day one. I highly recommend Trevor & PTK to anyone that wants to invest in themselves!
Fantastic experience: Trevor is an excellent nutritionist and trainer, which is the ideal package if you are looking to lose weight. I've attended his bookcamps, worked with him 1on1 and had consultation/meal adjustments provided by him. Even though I live in Ottawa now, I would still prefer to contact him for any of my needs.
Fantastic experience: After completing my personal training regime with Trevor, I have gained more muscle than I ever had, and certainly couldn’t have done it without his coaching expertise, and his motivation. He pushed me hard, especially when I was ready to give up. Trevor Degen is very supportive, patient, approachable, and professional. He reminds you what muscles to focus on when your doing a certain exercise to ensure success and to avoid injury. I highly recommend using Trevor as a personal trainer, I can guarantee that it will be an excellent investment in your health and well being.
Fantastic experience: I am not your typical trainee! I am a retired educator with health issues like diabetes and arthritis. I came to Trevor two years ago and told him I needed to improve my health. I had poor balance and could barely walk 10 meters without having to catch my breath. I can now walk anywhere, my balance has improved where I can now do squats and lunges without falling over. My strength has improved where I can wrestle my 5 month old puppy and remain on my feet! I will need to stay with Trevor to maintain my health but me and my family are worth it! I am able to travel and do anything I want, my health has improved to the point where in retirement I won't be sitting around waiting to die! My cholesterol is back to normal, my A1C is 6.8, my blood pressure is normal and my kidney function has returned to normal! I've been to Churchill to see the polar bears and North Carolina to see the wild horses. This summer we are doing a month long trip to the Maritimes and then in the New Year to Iceland to see the Northern Lights.
