Fantastic experience: Family doctor referred me to THiM for a shoulder problem. I didn't want to drive 40" to the edge of Peterborough (Trent campus) but I am very glad I did. From setting up the appointment with clinic staff through to the assessment by the doctor I was treated with great friendliness & professionalism. Besides being nice and very focussed on what I had to say (unlike some specialists I've encountered) Dr. Hewitt is obviously a very sharp sports physician - quickly identifying and explaining (with structural pics) the likely culprit of my soreness. I'm set up with a plan to improve the function of my 65 year old joint. I'll happily make the trip to this clinic for help with any similar issues. Thanks again!

When I need treatment I feel confident booking with any RMT who is available because I know I’ll be in great hands at this clinic. I always leave feeling so much better and wishing I had booked in sooner.

Fantastic experience: I had an enjoyable experience at Trent Health in Motion in Peterborough. The dietician, Cora, was informative, and easy to understand. I never felt rushed, or that my concerns were not being addressed.

Negative experience: This review is based on the massage. I really wanted to like this place as it's very close to me. I tried 2 different therapists here, but unfortunately left with disappointment both times. It felt like they're just rubbing your back and pressure points were rarely triggered. I asked for more pressure but it wasn't any better. One RMT didn't even massage the whole body, but only my shoulders the whole time which I thought was very unusual (Usually RMTs massage the whole body, then spend more time on specific area that you request). The atmosphere is not relaxing. The massage rooms are located by where gym equipments are which are used for Physiotherpay sessions, so you would hear other sessions throughout. The room is also bright so would be nice if they had a curtain on the windows. Unfortunately, I would look for a different RMT next time as I didn't feel any better after massages, and wasn't a relaxing experience at all for me.

Fantastic experience: Michael is very knowledgeable, and puts a lot of effort and care into coming up with a treatment/ recovery plan that will work for the individual and the issue. He's empathetic, and actively assesses progress and limitations with every visit in order to effectively tweak the recovery plan as things change.

Fantastic experience: I hit the jackpot in having Michael for my physiotherapy. He explains things soooo well! Each week builds on the last to strengthen my muscle weakness. Even when I am hesitant, he has a gift of explaining clearly why it is so important to continue to push myself. . He also plants the seed of where we are going with exercises and treatment in a few weeks so I get mentally prepared. And best of all… it is effective. Over the last 4 years I have seen him for my shoulder, my back, my hip. Not the same issue twice because he has me work to be strong in those areas! He is the best at what he does. Great facility with access to the Trent gym and very friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Very courteous, thoughtful service and consult. First time in my 58 years someone actually explained what causes my knee pain and how to fix it through targeted exercises via physiotherapy. Doctor Himann is lovely as are the rest of the staff.

Fantastic experience: As a yoga teacher of senior adults, I wanted to learn more about pelvic floor health so attended a session with a pelvic floor physiotherapist at Trent in Motion in Peterborough, On. The therapist was caring, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and made me feel like a partner in dealing with my many questions. The therapist had models, pictures, and print resources on hand so I could fully understand the topic of pelvic floor health, it's difficulties and solutions.

Fantastic experience: Fast courteous and caring. I love how my knee is after the cortisone shot. I have a lot more freedom right now. Took me back a few years

Fantastic experience: This is a great service! The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is on campus at Trent Peterborough so it can be hard to find for regular people, but I do suggest going here even if you don’t attend the school!!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience that is educational and motivating, both physically and mentally. Staff are terrific and take the time to help everyone learn each exercise movement and explain the benefits. They make you feel very comfortable and instructions are clearly provided to avoid injuries. Many laughs during each class. Make new friends. It is a terrific way to start to exercise with the knowledge of trained staff and get motivated with a group of other fun seniors. This allows you to continue with any exercise program afterwards, feeling confident and ready to keep moving.

Vega and her staff were welcoming and did their best to accommodate appointment changes etc. … a very professional and knowledgeable staff.

Fantastic experience: We had to bounce from chiro to chiro for a while (we moved, their retirement, etc.), and landed in Lakefield. Did an eeny-meeny-miny-moe from a Google search and lucked out. Dr. Jared is excellent. I was a mess a month ago and now feel my chiropractic care is doing for me what it can (65 with arthritis so I expect no miracles). I'm now happily going in every three or four weeks for a tune up.

Fantastic experience: It was a very good experience for my first appointment. I tried physio before and no one would listen to me, but this time I finally felt heard and we actually worked towards addressing the routes of my problems, what I need to work on, and the next steps towards reaching future goals for my movement. They're also super kind and make sure to ask permission before doing anything because the patients comfort is their #1 priority. If you go to Trent or are in the Peterborough area I Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I came in for pelvic floor physio for pregnancy and then I'll go alter for postpartum. The appointment was great! It's way more that working on your pelvic floor, we did an mini anatomy lesson, and the next time I am bringing my partner in for learning about different labor positions to help baby come out easier, paired with breath and pelvic floor techniques.

Fantastic experience: As an older version of my self (60+) I realized I needed to develop a fitness and wellness plan that didnt look like the one I had in my 20's and 30's! Caitlyn evaluates and developes weekly a program for me (both at home and the gym) that is increasing my range of motion and core strength that I know are critical as I (we) age. She also introduces training activities, age appropriate, that I didnt know I needed but sure do now! Thank you Caitlyn for being such an amazing fitness and wellnes coach!

Fantastic experience: No reason not to give five stars, I did not find anything wanting with their excellent service. The staff are kind and very accommodating, and the therapist I was working with had a wonderful "bed side manner" and is a fine representation of "good health"; it looks like he practices what he preaches, "in motion". And to temper my pros with a minor complaint; it can be a long haul to the clinic from the parking lot for patients that have temporary mobility issues. Dedicated lots closer to "Trent Health in Motion" that do not require a handicap card to park, would be helpful to limit the walking distance, leading to a better physiotherapy experience. Arriving winded/in discomfort prior to or after a "physical" appointment can make it a little more daunting A small thing. Health care professionals; givers that get back little. They are the salt of the earth.

Fantastic experience: This program is exactly what Peterborough needs considering the number of seniors residing in the area. Caitlin and Michael are both well suited to this program with their knowledge and patience at the forefront. Looking forward to the next steps!

I didn't know where to go for physio so I decided to try here. I am glad I made the right decision. Front receptionists are very friendly and they send reminders before your appointment 2 days before, which is nice in case you have to reschedule.

I'm continually surprised by his breadth of knowledge and expertise. He's been able to help me every time to the point where the issue has completely resolved and has not returned. The front-desk staff is also excellent. I couldn't recommend THIM more highly.

Fantastic experience: Jared and Kelly have made my world a better, painless place. If you want real healing with caring, expert professionals, Trent Health is the place to go. I suffer spinal stenosis, scoliosis and ostioarthris from decades of competetive sports and no-one in the medical profession has been able to help my pain, MEDS FREE, like these guys can. Do yourself a favor and see these people. I am sure as hell glad I did.

Fantastic experience: I had Robin as a masseuse and she was very good. She gave me stretches to help the areas that were hurting. The staff are also very friendly.

Fantastic experience: First time getting therapeutic massage for both shoulder and knee issues two weeks ago and Robin was fantastic. While both issues require longer term treatment (and physio), there was definitely some relief after our session. Robin then gave me tips for both issues as well as some advice on loosening my calves/thighs after long runs, which has also helped with some of my leg knottiness. I've got another appointment booked for tomorrow!

Fantastic experience: For people who don’t go to this school it’s pretty good. It’s a lower price than other places, a professional setting and there’s parking right outside to door. There is a pay meter but it’s never worked so I’ve never used it. And if you’re thinking it’s students doing the massages, this is not the case. It’s actually massage therapists for the students since it’s in the athletic building.

Fantastic experience: Caitlin Curylo is a great therapist. Her optimistic outlook and enthusiasm flows from her. This effects the people that she is treating in the most positive of ways. I highly recommend her and the other staff members of Trent Health in Motion.
