Fantastic experience: As I age, I am realizing how important self care is! Having joined Krista's Kinstretch class for a period of time now, it has shown me how much my body is taking shortcuts. This has probably contributed to some excess pain and stiffness I experience, as I sure do feel totally different after our class. My flexibility and body awareness is definitely challenged during the joint mobility and range of motion sequences. I walk away from every class with better posture and freedom throughout my body. Krista focuses on controlled movements to improve joint health a key investment for keeping me flexible and more agile as I age.

She takes the time to listen to what you have to say and ensure you understand when she is talking about the issue and treatment procedures. I definitely recommend HIF East for any of your physio, massage, strength training and yoga needs!

Fantastic experience: I had my first experience at Health in Focus (east side) today. I was greeted by a bubbly, kind receptionist named Emma. She was friendly and swift to help me as I was in a lot of pain. My RMT was Kurtis Marlow. He was right on the mark to offer me a nearby room so I didn’t have to walk far. The massage was amazing and Kurtis was happy to chat, or to work in peace. It was a good price for excellent work, and a promise to create a plan for my healing going forward. Awesome experience!

It was an excellent and beneficial hour where Victoria went in depth with her questions to get a good knowledge of me. It was so easy to talk to Victoria. Her stretching exercises she introduced me to immediately felt that my very stiff muscles were loosening up little by little. I am looking forward to being able to be in less pain. I had just accepted that this is how my senior years were going to feel like. With Victoria's expertise, I am confident in a positive outcome for my stiff, bent back. Thank you Health in Focus. Her interview to determine my requirements was insightful and helpful in determining a path to move forward. Her treatment was excellent and I left the clinic feeling this was a worthwhile therapy session. I have already rebooked another session.

I came for another issue, my knees, and she discovered an irritated meniscus in my knee. She then provided me with feedback and exercises. I am seeing improvements and I feel well cared for. She is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She offers practical exercises that I can do at home to help my issues. I am very happy to have found Krista and cannot recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: I had my 2nd massage with Karin and everytime she makes sure to make me super comfortable! I am immune compromised and she makes sure to wear a mask! She is so gentle but strong at the same time. She is very considerate and so kind, she listen to your concerns and apply her knowledge to those concerns! She keeps asking wether I am comfortable whole appointment which is very important thing for me. I found my forever massage therapist and super happy about it.

Kurtis and his team are very professional, but more importantly very personable and genuinely care about their clients. After having two positive massage therapy experiences myself, I took my 83 year old father for his first ever massage. As you can imagine, doing anything outside of your comfort zone at that age, can be a stressful experience. He was suffering severe pain in his neck/shoulder from a bad fall and needed some help with recovery. I can't express enough how impressed I was with Karin, she was amazing. She sat with my father and I prior to the appointment and walked him through the process. Karin spent an extra 10 minutes with him and I after, giving him some exercises to help with the healing. She even sent me an email the next day as a follow up to see how he was doing and gave a few suggestions to help him out. It felt like my back muscles had been kneaded like dough when I left. I would definitely recommend him. Side note: I really appreciated the music he had on which was trendy and not the mind numbing stuff that is often played in spa settings. And the receptionist was a pure delight.

Fantastic experience: Throughout the summer I’ve been loving getting back into shape by attending the health in focus group fitness and yoga classes. All instructors are welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly receptive to feedback. These classes are great for people at all levels as the instructors take the time to correct your form, modify exercises to meet your needs, and alter workouts to meet your personal goals. Highly recommend this facility!

She also gave great suggestions on how to help my mobility and reduce the strain that I a have been putting on my body.

Fantastic experience: Meagan is a great trainer. She always explains the exercises and is happy to make any accommodations you need. She constantly checks in make sure you are doing the exercise correctly and without pain. I was working out twice a week and I am now working out 5 times a week and I am really enjoying the many different exercises.

Fantastic experience: I did a strength class with Meg and loved it. She explained all movements to me and let me know what muscles were activated during each exercise. I am 62 years old and active. I really enjoyed the class! I have a few restrictions but with support from Meg I was able to do all movements. Meg is very knowledgeable as I had a few questions regarding tight calf muscles and she took the time to provide quite a few suggestions to help (going over and beyond what I was expecting). This class was fun and Meg was very welcoming. When I come back to Kingston I will do another drop in. Thank you Meagan McBride!!

Excellent diagnostic skills and approach. We received a rehabilitation regiment both 'in-session' and in written form in a follow-up email. I highly recommend this physiotherapy service provider.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Kara who specializes in Pelvic PT since my last trimester. Prior to seeing Kara, I had a few visits with a physiotherapist at a different clinic who barely listened to my needs, was dismissive to my feedback, and did not understand the challenges I was facing during my pregnancy. Needless to say, I was very skeptical about pelvic PT and PT in general. I am so glad I decided to give this clinic a try! Kara is professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable. She thoroughly explains her assessment and treatment options. She is really friendly and easy to talk to. She understands the busy lifestyle of a new mom and gives stretching/exercise instructions that are detailed and easy to follow. The front desk staff (sorry I forgot your name) is always smiling and helpful. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Meagan’s, On The Move - Older Adult Fitness Class for several weeks now. It is a small class which is awesome as we get lots of individual instruction from Meagan. Meagan explains which area of our body we should be feeling our muscles working which is a great indicator that we are doing the exercise properly. If anyone in our group is experiencing difficulty preforming a particular exercise, Meagan quickly provides modifications for the movement allowing us to be successful and to progress at our own pace. I am so grateful that I enrolled in her Older Adult Fitness Class. Thank you Meagan for your instruction and guidance to help us to gain strength and mobility for our aging bodies.
