Negative experience: Worst doctor ever, He wants us to study, and don’t give pros and cons about medication, worst doctor I have ever seen in my life, please don’t visit him, he is total waste of time. This clinic must be closed permanently, don’t know why people still believe in this doctor, He is rude , unprofessional, unethical and seems like he don’t know what to do!

They still took us in, and gave us a proper diagnosis and treatment. Super kind and thoughtful employees as well. I would recommend. Best walk-in clinic I’ve seen.

Negative experience: Two stars for receptionist and pharmacist. They are friendly and patient. Doctor is impatient, and no idea why he gave antibiotics for hand, foot and mouth decease. It can’t even fight with the virus and mitigate the pain from my soar throat.

Fantastic experience: This has been my pharmacy since it opened for business. Mujtaba is extremely knowledgeable and professional and is always there to help. And he offers free delivery to your door.

Negative experience: In August, I started experiencing severe ear irritation. I decided to seek help at this clinic, and they got me in very quickly, which was good. However, the response I got from the doctor was incorrect and very uncaring. I was told it was an issue with my TMJ joint when it was actually an ear infection. While I was there, I felt like I wasn't being heard, I was rushed in quickly and then wasn't given the proper time to actually find the problem. I understand that walk in clinics can be very busy and are expected to be fast, however I don't think it's ok to not do a complete analysis of an issue and then take a random guess at what the problem is.

Fantastic experience: I had a stomach ache last week and needed to see a doctor urgently. After calling different clinics for an appointment, I didn't get any, nobody was accepting walk-in patients. I finally decided to visit Doctor Shah in his clinic after reading the reviews. The wait time was less than 5 minutes, and Dr Shah was extremely professional. He listened to my problem patiently and made me feel cared for.

Fantastic experience: I went there today for the first time and had a great experience. I was in and out with my medicine within 45 minutes. The doctors were very friendly, helpful and patient. Once I was done, I went to get my medicine and it only took 5 minutes. The pharmacist was the same as the doctors, friendly and patient. The place was a little small and it was packed but I was seeing a doctor within 25 minutes of walking in. I will definitely go there again if I need to do a walk in.

Negative experience: The doctor is super impatient and unprofessional! It turned out to be very simple earwax, but cleaning it with cold tap water caused the ear pain and to lose hearing!

Negative experience: Dr.Shah was 40min late which is common according to all the other comments below. Dismissive towards anything I had to say walked out of the room when I asked for a referral to see a specialist.

Negative experience: I recently visited the clinic for a medical check-up, and was extremely dissatisfied with the experience. During my visit, the clinic staff attempted to charge me extra ( which is covered under OHIP) without providing a proper receipt ( cash only, which means they don't want to tax). As a customer, I have the right to receive an invoice for all services rendered, and the clinic's refusal to provide one was unacceptable. When I requested a receipt, the staff became hostile and uncooperative, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. I would advise anyone looking for medical services to steer clear of Safa Medical & Walk-In Clinic & Pharmacy. The clinic's lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service is deeply concerning, and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Negative experience: My wife went to see a doctor from the clinic as she was feeling ill and she had the most uncomfortable consultation ever. The doctor was simply rude and disrespectful. I’m not sure how people like this run a clinic and also helping people. We don’t recommend anyone ever going to this clinic as the guy should not be called a doctor..

Negative experience: receptionist booked me for Friday at 6:30 only for me to return to my appointment and find out the place was closed as they don’t even open till past 5:00. Had me waiting outside in the middle of the winter as I had to bus there and back while in sickly condition.

Fantastic experience: I came here as they were one of the only walkin available on a Friday. I met with Dr. Akber Shah and he was super friendly, kind and surprisingly hilarious!! Don't expect friendly service from the front desk staff but I highly reccommed Dr. Akber! Also make sure to wear a mask or else you can't see the doctor, they do not provide one.

Fantastic experience: Today I had my Covid booster shot and flu shot at this good pharmacy. This was my 2nd visit, as my last Covid booster shot was also administered here 6 months ago. Both the Receptionist and the Pharmacist were great! Very friendly and supportive, with good advice on which arm was better for which shot. The shots were quick and painless, very professionally done. What a great walk-in clinic and pharmacy! A BIG Thank You to the staff! I definitely recommend this place!

Negative experience: Worst clinic in Markham. Was supposed to open at 5 but the doctor arrived at 5:40, which meant that everyone’s appointment was pushed back. I missed work to be there for an emergency walk in. Everyone’s time was being wasted. The receptionist was lying to people on the phone saying that the clinic was closed just to reduce the amount of patients coming in. The interaction with the doctor (when he finally arrived) was horrible, he didn’t even look at me in the eyes and was on his phone texting someone at one point. Please save yourself and go somewhere else!!! Scum of the Canadian Healthcare system, they will probably comment below saying that I’ve got the wrong clinic.

Fantastic experience: Excellent clinic and pharmacy. It's small, local and is more of a small town doctors office. Dr Shah cared for my mother for the last years of her life and was a superb, attentive physician. The pharmacist is very caring, personable and goes way out of their way to care and assist seniors. He put my mother's medicine weekly into blister packs and delivered at times to her door when she was not fully mobile. Some of the reviewers are upset with not being told what they wanted to hear or some of the quirks of our small town pharmacy. Health care takes some patience and kindness - bring it with you and I'm sure your experience will be as positive as ours.

Negative experience: Honestly if you call yourself a clinic and allow people to book appointments for COVID vaccines, then you might as well never get vaccinated. I understand that the booster shots are very hard to get right now because of shortages and the government's time management, but this clinic CHOSE not to take the 3 minutes out of their day to call and let me know that they didn't receive their vaccine shipment. I drove 40 minutes, spent money on the 407 in order to get there and all they say to me is 'oh no shipment. Next appointment January 6. This is unprofessional, rude, inconsiderate, and lazy.

Negative experience: I had a bad ear infection with yellow pus coming out. It hurt to touch it and the doctor aggressively pulls my ear after I say this and looks inside with a flashlight, then he proceeded to tell me how nothing is wrong and even draws a picture for me with a pen and paper explaining how nothing is wrong. Worst experience I have ever had with healthcare. I went to a different clinic after this where the doctor gave me antibiotic medicine for the ear infection.

Negative experience: I JUST HAD ONE OF THE MOST HUMILIATING EXPERIENCES AT THIS DOCTOR'S OFFICE. (Dr. Akber Shah @ Safa Medical Clinic, 16 Main Street North.) To begin, I called the office twice before going in even though they are a walk-in clinic. First call; no answer, I waited some time & called again. A man with a very thick Indian accent answered the phone. I asked if he was accepting walk-ins, he asked me what my reasoning for visiting was. I told him & his reply verbatim was: "oh that's it? Ok come in we are not busy". My reply was : "okay I'll be there in 5 minutes" ( I live very close and was headingin that direction. ) Upon my punctual arrival the receptionist was not very receptive of my presence. She did not look my direction for at least 3 minutes.... it was awkward. However, it was not a huge issue (though, it is perfectly possible to greet someone & let them know you'll be with them momentary). Also note, this was not the person I spoke with on the phone. Once she looked over, she asked my reasoning for the visitation (I responded). Then she got up to speak with WHO SHE SAID WAS THE DOCTOR; which was an Indian man with a very thick accent. They were at the fridge behind reception which was in direct eyesight and hearing distance from where I was standing. He looked up at me for a moment and then said : "nope. I will not see walk-ins , I am too busy" . If memory serves correct. Which I am 99% positive it does, that was the man I had spoken with on then phone. Also there weren't any other men working at the doctors office. She walked back over and told me the doctor isn't seeing new patients due to COVID...... that's not what the doctor said moments before. Also, that was not the response I received over the phone. The fact that the clinic was open to walk-ins and not busy when I spoke woth the doctor over the phone. Plus, the look down he gave me before he denied me medical care is utterly disturbing and massively unprofessional (among many other things). Despite my family name , make no mistake. I am a black woman, and I was seeking medical attention. In an environment where I couldn't not be racially identified I was welcomed.. Then denied in such a manner upon my arrival is disgusting.

Negative experience: Can’t believe I had such a terrible experience! I took my 8 years-old daughter to visited this clinic and pharmacy last week, after diagnostic and exam, doctor Safa gave my daughter a prescription for her coughing, he recommended me to get the med in his pharmacy. I ended up bought 2 bottles of antibiotic and 2 different kinds of puffing even tho i dont know why my daughter would need all 2 of them. the very next day, i found out one of the med that he gave me is not recommended for children under 16 years-old. I went back to talk to the clinic. they didn't even apology for their mistake and refused to refund the money. So be careful and stay away from that clinic and pharmacy.
