Fantastic experience: I stumbled onto breast Rehab through my insurance company searching for therapy after cancer treatments for neuropathy in my feet and I am truly blessed to have Lydia and staff able to treat me with lazer therapy. I have regained my ability to return to work (12 hr shifts) enjoy my day to day activities and be mobile again close to 90% of what I was before cancer. My neuropathy is probably permanent damage but through Breast Rehab I am able to manage it. The staff at Breast Rehab are so pleasant to deal with, knowledgable, and always there to assist with suggestions to help treat side affects from cancer. Breast Rehab have given me my life back and will always highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Lydia was amazing! She did a very thorough assessment and put in the paperwork to my surgical oncologist for a compression sleeve right away. I was fitted for a compression bra as I had swelling in my back after my chemotherapy and surgery. I did have another physiotherapist who I had previously but Lydia peaked my interest at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation session on Lymphedema. I would recommend her to anyone going through breast cancer rehabilitation. She was patient, kind and knowledgeable. Aleisha was a great lymphatic drainage massage therapist. I received many close together and she got my swelling down significantly. She really knows what she is doing. Thank you for the care during a difficult time.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Breast Rehab for a number of years for treatment of lymphedema and for general massage therapy. The last few months I have been plagued with both plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis. I received tremendous relief after 90 minutes of targeted massage by Eryka Callaghan and can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Eryka and all the staff are friendly and professional and I highly recommend.

My physiotherapist, Lydia, and my massage therapist Aleisha, have been instrumental in my regaining range-of-motion in both arms and have been treating my lymphedema, keeping it under control. They have guided me through exercises, stretching, and various techniques to build strength and continue progressing at home. They are my go-tos for questions and concerns about any new symptoms or pain. Beyond the physical care they both provide, Lydia and Aleisha are also wonderful allies and are always so positive and supportive of me at what have been very challenging times. And Maddy and Julia are so professional, personable, and proactive, they make all my visits to Breast Rehab smooth and constructive and I feel like they see me as an individual with specialized needs that the team collectively works to address. Fantastic experience: I am so grateful that I found Lydia at Breast Rehab. I had surgery and approximately 3 months after the surgery the pain was surprising. I was nervous and had no idea what was going on. I thought I was through everything and recovery was over (probably a little denial). Lydia is so knowledgeable and competent I felt from the first moment that I met her I was in her very good hands. She listens and takes the time to share her knowledge to help me make the most progress that I can. Her approach is to focus on what can help and not solely what the text book says. The compression bras that I purchased are reasonably priced. They so helpful and reimbursement from insurance was a welcome surprise. I am very grateful every day for Lydia and all the other very kind and caring people at Breast Rehab.

Fantastic experience: An amazing place, even before my surgery. Being told you, you have cancer your mind is mush, so many things to remember and not knowing what to expect, not knowing where to go, then someone mentioned Breast Rehab . I made an appointment and many many things were explained to me. then, during my journey, the appointments through it, and after it, a wealth of information, compassion, love and trust me therapy. I can never thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: I went before a double mastectomy to have someone walk me through to exercises and then went back after to ensure I hadn't lost any range of motion and they tweakedthe exercisesbased on my ability. I managed to keep my full range of motion so definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic experience: Receiving a breast cancer diagnosis is a terrifying experience. You feel lost, not sure how it happened and if you can prevent it from reoccurring. Although my team of doctors and specialist were top notch and amazing, there wasn’t much talk about rehab. After radiation I had some mobility issues and deep tissue pain, so went searching for a place that offered a “one stop shop” with physiotherapy and massage therapy, with experts experienced in cancer recovery. All I can say is, thank goodness I found Louise, Eryka and the team at Breast Rehab! They are state of the art! Louise is so up to date with knowledge of the best exercises and stretches, but also on treatments to reduce scarring like cold-laser, and acupuncture and ultrasound for muscle aches. Eryka is the best massage therapist I have ever had and also really good to talk to. I can’t thank them enough and feel grateful for having found them.

Fantastic experience: I am so appreciative of the exceptional care and support that I received from Breast Rehab. I had severe and recurring cording (axillary web syndrome) following breast cancer surgery. I could not lift my arm high enough to remove food from the kitchen counter, and it was negatively impacting my quality of life. Louise, Lydia and Aleisha worked as an integrated team to help get rid of the cords. In a determined and methodical way, they used a combination of laser, ultrasound, massage and other techniques, and sent me home with an easy-to-understand daily stretching program. They were there to support and encourage me throughout, and were always accessible. Every person that I met at Breast Rehab, including Maddy, Julia and others, was knowledgeable, supportive and authentic. I am so grateful to have found Breast Rehab. Louise and team greatly improved my quality of life during a difficult time.

Positive experience: To my sisters survivors: physiotherapy can be very helpful, make sure you educate yourself first; all the necessary information is available online free of charge please predefine what you want to achieve from a visit to a physiotherapist and convey your message clearly to avoid dissapointment.

Fantastic experience: I am a breast cancer patient in treatment for the past year. Due to Covid19, I was unable to start treatment for Lymphedema and by the time I arrived at Haley Rehab, I was in “emergency” status. Louise Haley and her team did a wonderful job of bringing the Lymphedema under control and very quickly. As I continue treatments, I feel better every day. My arm is regaining movement and appears normal. I feel much more energetic and, after a long time and to my surprise, I am starting to feel happier. Fantastic experience: Haley Rehab offers a service that most other physiotherapists don't, which is post cancer surgery physio. Sarah, was instrumental in getting my scars to settle, flatten and feel so much better. They are also very well educated in lymphedema management.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Haley Rehab for 18 months. I had no idea the pain i was having in my arm was fluid related. I am a 11 year survivor from Breast Cancer and had forgotten that I was at risk for Lymphodema. I was in very quickly and worked diligently with the physiotherapist and massage therapist to resolve the fluid in my arm as well I followed their recommendations to now wear compression sleeves. I am happy to report that my fluid is very much under control now and i rarely have pain in my arm. Fantastic experience: I can't thank Louise Haley and her team of talented professionals enough for their care and support over the past three years. I owe a large part of my cancer recovery and current mobility to my physiotherapist Sarah and massage therapist Holly. Fantastic experience: Haley Rehab has been helping with my son, Benjamin, since 2012. They were a bright light in the relatively unknown world of Lymphedema. Haley Rehab are a fantastic resource with knowledge and skilled professionals who have been instrumental Benjamin’s excelling at soccer and life despite his Lymphedema. In October 2019, he will represent Canada at the U17 World Cup in Brazil and always matching his compression stocking with his uniform.

Fantastic experience: Last year I had a very swollen leg after a serious foot infection - lymphedema. At Haley Rehab Cheryl knew exactly how to treat it and gave great encouragement during the somewhat onerous but necessary process with constant praise as the swelling reduced so that now the leg has returned to normal size.

Fantastic experience: The services offered have amazing results in a short time when ALL others fail. I’ve been running for over 30 yrs, practicing yoga for over 10 years, I don’t have any health or weight issues and still I get slowed down because of physical discomforts. I’ve had pains in my lower back, swollen right knee and the latest was a ganglionic cyst under a toe. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Louise Haley for 9 years now and she has made a significant change to my quality of life over the years. I have a severe advanced osteoarthritis in my ankle from an accident as a child. As I have become older the pain has increased, range of motion and mobility has greatly decreased, all of which led to issues in my other leg and back from compensation. Louise has always been very thorough in her assessments and has put me on the right track to heal and get stronger. Two years ago, ( after a prominent local surgeon told me the only thing that could help my ankle was to fuse it) I went back to Louise for more help. At that time Louise was acquiring a Theralase laser machine and I got to be the first patient. The laser treatment, in concert with manual manipulation, and massage has been miraculous. My range of motion is better than it has been in 10 years. The circumference of my ankle reduced dramatically. I can walk almost pain free and stay on my feet all day which had become impossible before. I can stand on my toes on that foot for the first time in 7 years and all of this was done without surgery or medecation, using world class therapies and through the capable and caring hands of Louise and her team of professionals. I can not recommend this team enough. They are simply the best.

Fantastic experience: 911. That's how I treat Haley Rehab. An aging body part causes me pain and I call Haley. My love relationship with this fabulous team began 5 years ago post breast cancer surgery. From scar tissue reduction to help with chording to massage, I have zero lingering issues after my surgery. I do, however, hurt other things like my back, my shoulder, my hip. And they fix me. I sent my husband there for a recent shoulder injury and now he's a devotee too. In particular, I have worked extensively with the kinesiologist Jenn. Jenn created a programme that not only respected my fitness level, but also considered my goals and my occupational needs. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Jennifer for strength and cardiovascular training. I go once per week and also join her for nordic walking on Tuesdays. The experience has been fabulous!. It really helps to have someone walk you through a 1 hour exercise regime, so motivating. I feel so much better, my energy has increased and my flexibility has significantly improved. Fantastic experience: It took me a long time to find a physiotherapy clinic that gives the quality of service and care that I have received from Haley Rehab. I found well-qualified and experienced professionals capable of providing me the specific attention I needed for breast cancer (radical mastectomy) followup and lymphodema problems, but it is the quality of their personal relations with the patient that differentiates them from other clinics I had tried. The Haley Rehab staff have welcomed me and treated me as a ‘whole person’, not simply as a ‘breast’ or ‘shoulder’ to be attended to. Fantastic experience: When you’re not feeling well, its understandable to avoid exercise as it’s difficult to find the motivation when experiencing fatigue, weakness, nausea, and chronic pain. However, regularly participating in moderate, low-impact exercise and physical activity at Haley Rehab has been of tremendous benefit to my quality of life. Consistent Program participation over the last few months has boosted my physical energy and my exercise program is helping to reduce inflammation throughout my body. Under the professional direction of physiotherapist Louise Haley and kinesiologist Jennifer Freymond, they are figuring out what works best for me. Louise & Jennifer started slowly with my workouts and then worked to more challenging activities. Some days are harder than others due to flare ups. They adjust my workout accordingly, so I don’t over extend myself. They have chosen low-impact exercises like walking on the treadmill, weight training, low-impact circuit training, stretching and balance activities that are enhancing my ability levels and allowing me to reach physical goals that I thought were unattainable to gain back. Participating at Haley Rehab is fun, challenging, stimulating and makes me feel good.

Fantastic experience: My surgeon recommended Haley Rehab after I had a cancerous lump removed from my breast and my lymph nodes removed. My physio therapist, Cheryl, is amazing! She has helped alleviate a lot of my fears surrounding lymphedema and the other life long side effects of breast cancer. I would recommend her to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Haley Rehab regularly for five years for radical mastectomy rehab, massage, and lymphodema management. Louise Haley is excellent in diagnosing, trying different approaches, and ensuring that it is working for me. The physiotherapists are great people who do very effective work. It's always a pleasure to work with them. The reception is welcoming and efficient and works with my schedule. As a result, I have excellent range of motion and strength and the skin and muscle are kept in good condition. I am confident that I am getting excellent treatment there, and will continue.

Fantastic experience: I have had ongoing sciatic pain for many years and tried a lot of different therapies with only temporary or little relief. I was encouraged to go to Haley Rehab to try their new laser therapy in conjunction with manual therapy. This has been by far the most successful treatment I have had. Sara is my physiotherapist. She is fantastic. My pain is virtually gone now. I just need occasional appointments to tweak things. What is wonderful is the holistic, multi-faceted approach of using a combination of the laser, hand manipulation, exercise regime and adjusting my car seat to improve my condition. The therapists at Haley Rehab really know their stuff. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: If you are struggling with range of motion and swelling (lymphedema) after cancer treatment, Haley is the place to go. They have taught me how to manage and my arm is on it's way to being fully functional, after they've worked on my scar tissue and stretched my tendons back out.

Fantastic experience: I have been a repeat customer of Haley Rehab for over a decade. I first heard about Haley Rehab about two years after my breast cancer surgery. Louise and her other therapists significantly reduced scar tissue, helped with my lymphedema and insisted on addressing pre-existing health issues. Their intervention had a dramatic impact on improving the quality of my life. Since then I have had a number of other issues which required physiotherapy, without hesitation I went back to Haley Rehab. While Louise has a great passion for treating people who are suffering through cancer treatment, fundamentally she just wants to help people who are suffering. You are treated with care and compassion and they utilize many of the latest technologies to achieve the quickest recovery including acupuncture, dry-needling, and computer-managed laser treatment. Another thing I appreciate is that the rooms are private (with a door not a curtain), and the therapist is devoted to one patient at a time, not running between 2 or 3 other patients. I have recommended friends to this facility and they have all had positive experiences. I highly recommend Haley Rehab for anyone in need of quality physiotherapy, especially if you are undergoing cancer treatment.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best physiotherapist clinic I have ever been to. Within 5 minutes of first being there, I felt so reassured and hopeful for my recovery. Louise Haley and her assistants are so knowledgeable, professional, friendly and on the leading edge of the latest tools, technology and techniques to make you better. I am a recovering cancer patient that had reconstructive surgery with many scars, swelling, (lymphedema) and pain. My plastic surgeon did not explain the benefits of the physiotherapy service that Haley Physiotherapy provides pre-op and post op. I was recommended to Louise Haley by my new oncologist and am so grateful for the recommendation. I have been almost 8 months recovering and have much improvement needed before my next surgery. With a few short visits, my swelling, scar recovery and wound healing have improved dramatically thanks to Louise and her staff. I am so impressed with the passion they show to help their patients. Not only is Louise working on ALL of my issues from breast cancer surgery and reconstruction, she is also caring for pre-existing conditions I have from stress and scoliosis with muscle pain. The clinic is a one stop shop for physiotherapy, breast cancer care - pre-op and recovery, massage, laser therapy, dry needling (acupuncture) and I'm sure many more services I will be introduced to. Going through the ordeal of diagnosis, surgery, chemo and reconstruction, trust me - you want to visit these people to help you with your journey.
