Negative experience: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" A gym with Bible verses painted on the walls would seem safe...one would think. Don't let that fool you. The customer service is repugnant at amazing fitness and do not aim to have a WWJD peacekeeping attitude. Not sure what their morals are, but I tried to explain why I was canceling my membership... just so they can understand why they would be losing business for their future. I'm not looking to sue anyone or cause any issues...just canceling my membership for safety reason. Ladies (or gents), if you feel unsafe bc of an issue occuring at this gym, do not bother going to customer service to explain the issue. They'll actually try to make you feel insignificant and turn around and threaten you with harassment! Yes, you read that correctly! The 2 women (Cinthia and Ann) I spoke to and who I thought would be understanding (you know woman to woman) had zero compassion and no customer service/sales retention skills. I almost thought they would listen and try to advocate for safety procedures/protocols in the gym and even try to retain me as customer. But literally no effort was made. In fact, it made my decision that much easier not be apart of an unsafe and rotting business ...and I'm not talking about the facility although it could use some upgrades. The gym was decent before. It was relatively safe. But I guess they don't need anymore business...even to perhaps fix the ongoing leaks, broken cardio machines and of course invest in training their lousy customer service personnel. I pray that amazing fitness will actually study the Bible verses (haphazardly) slapped onto their walls to find Amazing grace. It could tremendously help their business acumen and the way they treat people. Here's a start: Proverbs 28:5-6 Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it completely. Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways. ***** Update: If you're still reading...thank you for staying with me. (Interesting how an actual decent reply to my review gets answered but it is seriously inconsistent with how Amazing Fitness actually treat their paying members.) Before my initial review went up, I gave several chances and time for John, the owner of Amazing Fitness, to take action on my original safety complaint by phone or a response to my email. This gym has no intention of actually addressing my issue. This was especially pointed out when John tersly demanded that I come into the gym to speak with him in person. Not sure, why I had to come in person, when speaking on the phone would suffice. Also, why would I go into a gym where even the female personnel are aggressive and rude? Anyway, I told him "I don't feel safe in your gym!" His response was "You don't feel safe? GOOD!" I was stunned and couldn't believe that this man didn't have any regard for my safety in his gym. Confirmed with a with a smugly stated "GOOD!" - it was clear that safety is a very low priority in this fitness facility. Leaving a 1 star review was truly my last resort. My intention was to simply report an issue and ask to implement safety protocols for all members to feel safe. A very reasonable request. However, based on their UNethical code of conduct its "Good" that I feel unsafe in Amazing Fitness. I've never had such an a atrocious experience with customer service from any business owner. When it comes to safety, it is a business' obligation to address them with integrity - not stonewall and intimidate their customers. How awkward to leave yet another disappointing review on Atrocious (I mean Amazing) Fitness. Happy New Year to the folks who want to start year off right and get their fitness on...but I would definitely stay away from this gym. Proverbs 9:7-8 He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for 5 months now. I love it. Massive gym, every time you think you've seen it all, there's another room with more equipment. There is rarely a time when I am stuck waiting for someone to stop using a machine. Staff are friendly. Reasonable price/month. Also lots of parking which can be hard to find at other gyms in the area.

Fantastic experience: Best do-it-all gym in Hamilton. It's extremely well stocked with equipment, which is generally in great condition. The crowd is a typical mix of commercial goers, with some more serious powerlifters and arm wrestling competitors. Everyone is very polite and accommodating, and even at rush hours there's rarely an issue with equipment availability. You can't go wrong here.

Fantastic experience: This gym looks pretty small from the street - totally not! Loads of machines and equipment and space. I was a little hesitant to “sign up” because let’s face it I’m outta shape. The staff AND the clients who were working out when I was given the tour were so welcoming. Weekdays open at 5am in and out and done.

Fantastic experience: atmosphere and people are great, staffs amazing not familiar with all of em but really friendly. Reminds me of my old gym but bigger. Great specialized equipment like the Rhyno squat machine by rogue and some Italian import machines that are wild.

Fantastic experience: It is a very well maintained gym. Even has massage rooms and a new sauna!!! You should definitely check it out if you are looking for a smaller gym with all the necessities. Felt very welcomed

Fantastic experience: Great gym. It’s deceivingly big, once you think you’ve seen the whole gym there’s another room with completely different equipment it’s like it goes on forever. Super friendly staff and members. Solid mix of modern and old school equipment to match whatever vibe you’re feeling and an entirely separate boxing gym and powerlifting gym in the back. Glad I joined.

Son loved it hasn't stop asking to go back!!!! for contrast went to Crunch asked for membership info got passed a dirty looking ipad went to amazing sweet girl behind counter brook down all options full yearly payment plan, monthly year upfront etc was given tour of gym was even introduced to other employees AND even some regulars goers even their members seem like wonderful people even their march is comfy and top quality would neve have joined a gym if I didn't come across Amazing THANK YOU

Fantastic experience: Well appointed gym in central Hamilton that has everything you could ask for when it comes to equipment. They also have a separate powerlifting area with specialty bars, deadlift platforms & a competition bench.

Negative experience: The lady who works afternoons - short hair is the most unpleasant person ever. She yelled at me in front of other members because of my shoes (it was not even winter). She was also rude to a friend of mine. She is doing terrible customer service and the gym owner should do something. I did cancel my membership and also my husband’s. My friend also left because of her… I am not sure if it is something related to ladies-only or to immigrants, but she is doing something bad against people for sure!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Amazing Fitness for the past three years. The gym lives up to its name because it is simply amazing. This family run business is the crown jewel of the fitness scene in Hamilton and the surrounding area. Affordable, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable is how I describe the gym, its owner and staff. Cleanliness and the array of equipment and its maintenance are second to none. I take my health and fitness very seriously. Amazing Fitness helps me in this lifelong endeavour.

Negative experience: Came in to view the Gym, and was seriously considering a membership for my family and I, but unfortunately this Gym is extremely over priced, even more when your a family, just for my husband and I Not including our kids, to get a "6" month membership upfront( which is supposed to be a deal) all together would be over $800 with taxes, probably closer to $900 without the yearly one time fee which they dont mention on the website. That is extremely over priced. The Gym is not in good of shape as they have in photos on the website. The staff seemed really nice, but Unfortunately for thar price it's not worth it. It's really to bad, if they better pricing they would probably get more people buying memberships. They charge 59.99 plus tax for 1 hour" which is crazy. Also there was a mold smell, which got worse toward the back of the Gym.

Fantastic experience: Visited Hamilton for a wedding. I came here once for a workout purchasing a very reasonably priced day pass. The atmosphere was friendly and they had all the kit anyone would ever need!

Fantastic experience: Disappointed I didn’t find this gym sooner. Today was my first time working out at Amazing Fitness and I am not changing my membership from 1 month to 1 year.

Fantastic experience: My son and I signed up here as first time gym goers about three months ago. It was one of the best decisions we ever made The owners and staff here made us feel welcome and even though we both had never been to a gym before our initial nervousness was immediately allayed by all of the amazing people who regularly work out here. People helped us when we needed help, people gave us space when we needed space, people encouraged us when we needed encouragement and we both, my son and I, look forward to every visit with enthusiasm and excitement. The place is meticulously cleaned and they have every imaginable piece of equipment you could possibly need on your fitness journey. We love the place and highly recommend it to anyone in need of a gym to call home!

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym over 2 years now and I can safely say it’s the only gym I will continue at. The family who runs this gym are so passionate about it and what they do with it, any GoodLife or big corp gym will never amount to AF. In the few years I’ve been working out, I quickly realized that environment plays a big role in your development and success which is why i’m so thankful for this gym. Amazing Fitness is filled with people who are actually dedicated to the gym and bettering theirselves, i’ve never interacted with a more respectful group than what we have here :) I love you all!!

Fantastic experience: Me and my fiance have been members for over a year now. Better than any commercial gym I've ever been to. The staff and owners are amazing. The people that come here are also great. Everybody is friendly and super helpful. The crowd is a mix of different people from different kinds of backgrounds. This is a gym where they encourage you to do your best, no matter your fitness experience. This gym has a variety of equipment as well and is well-maintained. I hope more people come to Amazing Fitness. Just can't match the energy anywhere else.

Haven’t seen the facility yet, but based on the conversation I had with their staff this is a great place for new, dedicated, or competitive athletes who want to focus on their goals without a lot of sales pitches. Fantastic experience: This place is truly amazing, I have been a member since 2016. The staff take care of everyone like family, they have a mini ninja warrior course, a boxing area and everything in between. It’s old and Hamilton rustic on the outside and amazing on the in. In regards to Ryan Dejardins in accurate and horrible review, I was one of the many and I many people that complained about a guy singing at the top of his lungs like it was a Canadian preparation and grunting so loud I could here him from the front room to the back. Lifting minimal weight which I didn’t understand why it was needed. He was rude to many of the staff constantly and if you just look at all his Google reviews he makes a living off of leaving horrible reviews every where. Not only do I come back to my home gym now every time I come to Hamilton, I suggest Amazing fitness to all my friends. Thanks John, Mike and Alex for everything you do.

Fantastic experience: I live in the area and decided to join the local gym in 2015. I have been a member ever since. Family run and friendly members. Equipment is always in working order and the place is spotless. Great experience and feel tremendous unity every time I show up. Open shortened hours on holidays if you need a work out which is much appreciated. First class operation.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best gym I have ever been too. I have been going to amazing for 3 years and I have nothing but nice things to say. The family that runs the gym is very kind and loving, the owner John especially so. Sure the equipment is amazing (specialty bars, chains, hammer strength equipment, basic machines, AND a new powerlifting room with brand new equipment opening in the summer.. oh and did I forget an obstacle course lol ).. but the best thing about amazing is being treated by the staff and by the members like I belong there. And everyday I go in I always have a good workout because I have people who have my back! Thanks for providing a space for me to grow. Negative experience: I was told not to speak on the phone and not to grunt to loud and I sing to loud , this place is strange. Literally transferred back to GoodLife to be able to not feel like a library , imagine one of the trainers stopped me and argued about me singing who the heck wants a gym that’s a library, they say it’s not a social club but literally at anyone time you see between 4 and 6 guys always grouped together talking and laughing very loud that’s ok but not singing along to a favourite song! Just ya never going back

Fantastic experience: Been on & off here due to job contracts though consider Hamilton my current home for the last year. This gym doesn’t disappoint. No, It doesn’t have extra amenities like towel service & sauna (just bring your own towel). What it does have is a popular obstacle course, and boxing facility/room which I can say most gyms don’t offer. It has all the equipment one would need to make their gains plus the community motivation. Been a pleasure working out here. Ashley.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined the gym and wanted to wait a couple months before I left a review. So far I couldn’t be more happy I chose to become a member at Amazing fitness. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s one of the cleanest gyms I have ever been to and there seems to be a culture of racking your weights and wiping down after. It has all the weights and equipment you’ll ever need plus a room dedicated to boxing. Truly lives up to its name as Amazing.

Fantastic experience: i joined a few months ago and can personally say out of the various gyms i've been too including crunch on upper-james and stone church, the YMCA on rymal and 5 star fitness in meadowlands, Amazing fitness sure does fit its name being BY FAR the best, most community like gym i've been too. from the people at the front, to the people i've met in the gym, everyone loves helping each other and the vibe in the gym is like no other. i would highly recommend joining

Fantastic experience: I've been involved with fitness for over 30 years and Amazing Fitnesz is, by far, the best equipped gym I've been in.

Negative experience: Edit: still taking my money, put me over $200 dollars in debt despite my efforts to communicate to them. If you don't use Instagram, it is super hard to be informed and kept in contact with this gym. Website rarely gets updated. Gym is nice, people that work there are great. Gym isn't communicative and kept charging my bank (I emailed them asking to freeze my account, like they offered on their website.) Not a big fan of being charged when money is tight, and I thought I wouldn't have to worry about it. "If you do not yet feel comfortable to use the facility, please let us know via email and your membership will be put on hold temporarily" Aside from that; the gym itself is fairly decent. The boxing was what stood out the most to me, and don't even think about going when it's busy lol unless you want to be crowded and waiting for a bench or rack. Shame that I have to stop going but as aforementioned not a fan of being charged when I thought my account was frozen, maybe I'll be able to give them a chance again in the future if I felt their policies were more reasonable. Also, during the worst of the pandemic there was tons of people who just simply refused to wear mask, even though they had signs all over the place. Can't blame the staff 100% though do you want to go tell the dude screaming about the sheeple to put on a mask as he throws your bodyweight around.

Fantastic experience: “My Gym My Home”- Thats how I feel there. Amazing Fitness - Amazing Environment. Friendly Staff including Cintia, Michael, Alex and John. Wonderful and professional people . They are Always there to help you out if needed. Apart from this, Neat and clean machines. All the equipments well placed always. Washroom and locker rooms are always clean. Thanks for such a great service and environment for the gym which I could find no where else

Negative experience: Do not be fooled. Nothing special here. They don't care about you, they just want your money and then will not answer their phone or email after that. They don't care at all.

You can really tell that each individual is passionate about what they do and try their best to help one another. The facility also has such a multicultural community, its amazing to see. Fantastic experience: Great culture! Everyone puts their weights back where they're supposed to go. The dumbbells are always perfectly organized. This is the most important quality of any gym. 5/5, would recommend. If you want to leave your weights on the bar when you are done, or put your 35s where the 45s go, etc., go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Amazing atmosphere with the best old school vibes and motivational quotes everywhere. The staff are so friendly and the facility is very clean... I don't even need to wear headphones because the music they play is the best to train to, and if you forget your supps, equipment or a healthy snack, they got you!

The facility is clean and well organized, all weights are where they should be, not scattered all over the floor. Fantastic experience: Hello I'm Erik, I have joined amazing fitness to keep my blood pressure down due to diabetes I need the gym as much if not more than the average person who does ,this is my daily dosage of endorphins the gym is only letting on 25 people at a temperature so I do not understand why the gym is closed but the LCBO and beerstore home Depot are still open. Please. Open the gym again so I can keep my high blood pressure down this is a great place to navigate threw many mental & physical issues as I do not prescribed to prescription I enjoy keeping healthy the proper and natural way!
