Fantastic experience: After living in different parts of the city and trying different vets for various reasons we are extremely pleased to have found the best vet clinic a walking distance from our home. From the groomers, to the vets, and the rest of the staff are all amazing people. This has been the best customer service and experience in general. The straight forward and informative appointments with the different vets have made such a difference with our dogs! Highly recommend this vet clinic looking for great customer service from great people!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic! I came in with an emergency referral from another vet who wasn't as experienced and was terrified that this visit would cost me thousands. But thanks to the experience and care of Dr Tom it was a simple fix. Cannot recommend this clinic enough!

Fantastic experience: We've been bringing our pets here for the last 9 years, and have only had positive experiences. Everyone is so caring, and they work with you to find the best options for your situation. We recently had to say goodbye to one of our cats, and they made the experience as peaceful as possible.

Fantastic experience: Our Wire Hair Griffon loves this place. Girls on the desk are always welcoming. Vet is informative and offers cost effective options. Karen does a great job grooming our dog. We moved to Calgary from Halifax last year and could not be happier with our new vet clinic.

Fantastic experience: I was in recently with Penny (my dog) for annual checkup and vaccines. Dr. Nagy did a very thorough exam. She was very gentle with Penny, who is quite nervous when in a Clinic. Dr. Nagy also took the time to answer questions and concerns that I had and made some recommendations of things to try. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank the Woodlands Vet Clinic and Dr. MacKenzie enough for the exceptional care they provided for my cat, Bailey. Bailey was suffering from severe tooth and bone decay, which resulted in a painful abscess. Not only did Dr. MacKenzie handle this issue with great expertise, but he also went above and beyond by cleaning up a previous tooth extraction that my former vet had not done properly, and he did this at no extra cost. Their follow-up care was outstanding—they were very diligent in checking up on Bailey post-surgery, ensuring his recovery was smooth. Despite Bailey being quite a spicy cat, Dr. MacKenzie and the team handled him with incredible patience and skill during his visits. I highly recommend the Woodlands Vet Clinic and Dr. MacKenzie for anyone seeking compassionate and thorough veterinary care. They truly care about their furry patients and it shows in their work.

Fantastic experience: We've lived in the area for almost 35 years and have usually had 2 dogs at a time over the course of the years. We're now at our 9th dog and have taken all of them to Woodlands Veterinary. During the sad times and the healthy times we're more than pleased with the help and services they provide.

Fantastic experience: Pleasant and efficient staff. The clinic got us in quickly with our dental concern with our cat, even though he wasn't a patient of the clinic. The dental specialist, Dr. McKenzie, was very kind and explained things well. The clinic was able to give us a quick surgery date. I would highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: I find the vet is thorough and takes each patient as a unique situation. Rather than have a set immunization and examination schedule he sets it according to each animal and each circumstance. I feel that he is in practice to treat animals first and make a profit second. He doesn't take financial advantage of patients nor recommend unnecessary procedures. He is also very knowledgeable and willing to share his expertise. He does not rush appointments but gives an opportunity to ask questions and clarify things. I would 100% recommend Dr. LeBoldus. His reception staff are very polite and efficient. They usually answer the phone and if they are busy, they call back in a reasonable amount of time. I have had animals all my life and this is the best clinic I have ever been a part of.

Negative experience: My family and I are very disappointed with the performance of Tom L. and dr Nagy. Our dog was brought to them both over a two day period as our dogs health deteriorated. I feel very let down by the results as they both missed the fact our dog had an object obstructing her small intestine. Her symptoms were on par with this problem but neither of the doc’s could figure this out. Emergency surgery was needed (at a different facility), this saved her life. I paid excessive amounts of money for no useful information. Not impressed!!!

Negative experience: Our dog started limping and we brought him to this clinic. The doctor gave him a pain killer but it didn't help and after several days the doctor took our dog's blood for analysis. It had several panels and the doctor decided our dog had IMPA (immuno-mediated polyarthritis). He prescribed the prednisone for treatment and other medication to protect our dog's stomach. At first, the medicine helped but in several days there was blood in our dog's stool. The doctor suggested to decrease the dose twice and give him more food full of fiber. The blood disappeared but the stool remained too soft. Then limping came back and our dog started shivering, he stopped walking and his rear leg was cold. We brought him again and after long considerations the doctor decided to give the previous full dose of prednisone. Next day our dog passed away, in emergency they said if was heart arrest probably caused by blood clotting. The doctor had a conversation with my family a week after and said that was a result of DIC (disseminated intravascular coagulation) although he never mentioned this disease before.

Fantastic experience: We are so so thankful that Dr Gaviller took the time to let Pesto adjust and get curious about her. Our experience having a reactive dog has been having most caretakers rush through things to get him out of the way, which is stressful for everyone and not productive for his fear. This was honestly the best vet experience we've had since he was a puppy, and we are so grateful he was given patience and respect. Thank you so, so much again. We will be back (hopefully with a new puppy in the summer!), and I will highly be recommending you to our training clients.

Fantastic experience: We came to Woodlands Veterinary Hospital after being told by another hospital that our dog was bleeding internally, was going to die, and that we should consider euthanizing him. They also made it financially unreasonable to perform an emergency, life saving surgery on our 10 year old Cockapoo. After succumbing to the fate that our dog was going to die, and our family praying over him at home, I suddenly didn’t feel right about it, so started phoning around. This is when I found Woodland Vet Hospital and Doctor Tom. I knew immediately after I got off the phone with him that this was the man that was going to save our dog’s life. 1 hour later he had cleared his entire schedule for the day and our dog was in surgery. He even had his family pet on standby in case our dog required an emergency blood transfusion! Doctor Tom is a real life hero. He saved our beloved family pet. Our entire family is greatful for his openness, honesty, and high level of skill in performing flawless surgery on our animal and saving his life. If I could thank him 1000 times, I would. Several days later, our dog is back to living a normal life and our family has a second chance with him as a member!

Thank-you Chris. Everyone, including you and your family, bent over backwards to get him to us to have this be a good outcome. I also want to say thanks to all of the clients that had non-emergency appointments that understood the gravity of the situation, empathized with complete strangers and their emergency needs, and allowed themselves to be rescheduled. Negative experience: My experience with this clinic was not horrible. The front end staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. However, my cat needs surgery from a significant injury to her CCL. It's very expensive, ($3000+) and being on disability right now, completely unaffordable. I was pre-approved for a loan for a portion of the cost. When I asked if the doctor would assist in getting funding from 'Tails of Help', a wonderful foundation that helps with low-income people in need of veterinarian care, he refused. No reason given. I said I can't afford the full cost and won't be able to get the surgery without financial assistance. There again was no response. It's very unfortunate that my cat and support pet can't get proper medical care because of the outrageous vet costs and the flick of a pen to sign the papers. Not really caring, nor compassionate as is the headline on your website. Seeing my cat suffering everyday is heart breaking and completely unnecessary. Very disappointing.

Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Animal Dental Centre
Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Animal Dental Centre

Hi Steph, We are very sorry for what has happened with your cat and we are willing to help you to fix her. Luckily, it is a non-life threatening injury on a high-risk anesthesia case which is why our estimate included a board-certified anesthetist to oversee her safety. You and I have never spoken in-person or on the phone to be clear. Also, you are not a client of my hospital. My reception team did provide you with a reason- we don't work with Tails of Help. There is a lot of charity work that we already do for rescues, humane societies and police services. Please don't mistake my inability to subsidize your care on your pet as a lack of compassion or caring. We do really want to help you but your conditions for service can't be met by us. We have a very dedicated team, including the veterinarians. Fortunately for you, there are other hospitals that do work with Tails of Help who can assist you with that procedure. You should contact Tails of Help to see which locations are best for your needs. Sincerely, Dr. Tom LeBoldus

Negative experience: Dr Mackenzie is a specialist and shouldn't be allowed to offer services to the general population. For a basic cleaning of a small dog he quoted me between 2,500 and 3, 500$ obviously a cleaning is only around $1,500 but he charged me $120 consult to even find this out. I appreciate that you teach at a university and that you have contracts with police dogs etc, but you're not doing anything good by charging your outrageous rates for basic cleanings. You shouldn't be allowed to make so much money on consulting with basic hardworking people, just to for us to find out how incredibly unaffordable you are. I think you've lost your way Dr Mackenzie.

Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Animal Dental Centre
Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Animal Dental Centre

Hi Ryan, Welcome to Calgary. There is a need to clarify your comments. Specialty services are always offered to the general public just like in human medicine, as there is a need for those services that are over and above what a general practitioner is capable of providing. When you first booked the appointment looking for a solution to your dog’s severe dental disease you were informed as to the cost for a consult. After listening to your story and regarding your recent move to Calgary you were charged a regular clinic consult (a substantial discount to what is the normal fee) to help you out even though dental consults are always a significant extended amount of time compared to a regular exam visit and do include a complete physical examination. Due to the nature of dental disease, the estimate you were given had a wide range because the severity can not be determined without x-rays due to the fact that 50% of all the problems can occur under the gumline where we can’t see them. Worse case scenario was if the dental disease was so severe, that full mouth extractions were required. The estimate was based entirely on the fee guide published by the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association, even though the procedure is provided by a specialty service. Regardless, we hope you seek help for your dog to address the pain and infection present in his mouth, as he is suffering and deserves better. Dental disease is progressive and left unchecked will have a negative effect on his liver, heart and kidneys, and can result in significant jaw fracture if infection gets into the bone. Best Regards, Dr. Stew MacKenzie

Fantastic experience: Dr. Leboldus has been my Families veterinarian since I was 6 years old (almost 30 years). This is my third Labrador and I wouldn’t trust any other vet with my dogs. His love and care for this breed is evident in every visit (his own Labradors have all been rescues). He is honest and respectful and always has the dogs best interest at heart. He is always willing to take a bit of extra time and care to explain everything so I never leave feeling confused. My Labrador now is my first dog on my own and whenever I have any questions or concerns he always takes the time at the end of his day to call me back and answer anything he can over the phone. You never feel like he’s trying to rush you out and I always get the sense that he loves my dog as much as I do. My previous Labrador (Brody) had a raised spot on his paw from licking and biting that was getting bigger over time. Dr. Leboldus had recommended a laser treatment but it was “experimental” in the sense it hadn’t be used to help with this sort of ailment before. He agreed to do it completely probono to test for effectiveness. It did work and the raised spot on my dogs arm went away completely. I wish I could remember what the treatment was now but this is just an example of the type of Vet he is and the care he will give to your animals. I could give 100 more examples over the years of how amazing he is but it would honestly not encapsulate how highly I think of him.

Fantastic experience: Woodlands and Dr. LeBoldus were recommended by our regular vet to perform a needed surgery on our dog. Our entire experience has been absolutely wonderful. The pre-surgery consult was very thorough, and all of our questions were answered in detail. They were able to book us in quickly and the surgery itself went perfectly. When a few days after surgery our dog experienced an extremely unusual and unexpected side effect, the support the clinic provided was exceptional. They were able to see her right away, provided guidance and answered questions over the phone, and were able to quickly get the issue under control. We wouldn't hesitate to use this clinic in future. Dr. LeBoldus, the reception staff, and the veterinary assistants are just lovely people and great at what they do.

Negative experience: We had a similar experience to others who also ranked this vet 1 star. I agree with this ranking and recommend seeking second opinions on recommendations from this vet. There are better vets out there, shop around, make sure the advice you receive is shared by peers in the veterinary profession.

Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Animal Dental Centre
Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Animal Dental Centre

Woodlands is a veterinary specialist dental hospital. There are only 2 others within Calgary that meet the “peers in the veterinary profession” criteria. Three different veterinarians recommended the same course of treatment for your dog. You got a second opinion from one general practice, who I spoke with afterwards, and not one single veterinary dentist would support their assessment. Unfortunately for your dog, believing the cheaper plan is more correct isn’t always the best route to go.

Char O 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: I have been to several vets over the years, good and bad. Woodlands is very knowledgable and upfront with their recommendations. They work because they love animals, not to rack up exorbitant costs.

Tomislav Viskovic 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: TLDR; Woodlands Vet is full of kind, trustworthy, well intended, knowledgeable people who supported me in a time of great sorrow. I didn't find the cost too great (I am not well off), nor did I feel taken advantage of and I trusted their opinion; they gave me no reason not to. My opinion: Love your friends and give them the help they may need if it's within your ability to do so (I understand everyone has their own thing going on). The Doctors and Staff aren't here to rip you off, they're here to discuss what is best for your friend and pet. The Story: I had brought Josie, a Friend whom I rescued at the age of approx. 2.5 years old, once before on my friends recommendation and had a wonderful experience with the Woodlands Vet staff; they gave me knowledge and assurance to help me give Josie a better life. I noticed that my Friend, Josie, was having trouble eating, keeping food in her mouth, and drinking water. I called Woodlands, they heard me, were diligent and got me in quickly to have Josie seen. On visiting, Dr. Tom LeBoldus checked Josie out, then came out and told me that her condition wasn't good. He was patient with me, kind, considerate, and thoughtful in his explanation. I began to cry because I thought I was a terrible Friend to Josie. Dr. LeBoldus comforted me with well put together words and assurance that sometimes this is just how it goes. He provided me with some antibiotics and painkillers to see if it would help out. It did, for a time, but the condition was too extreme and too invasive to help Josie. The procedure would have left her in a state where she could no longer be a happy and independent young lady like she was. Dr. LeBoldus gave me some time to consider, because I was begging in my mind that it would just go away. She managed to have a few good days where she played really hard, seemed happy and free, like I knew her to be, and I stayed up all night with her sleeping on my neck, purring, which she had never done before; Josie was a sleep-between-my-legs kind of cat, though she had dared to rest on my chest and stomach a few times. Her condition began to worsen again; I cried and begged her to eat and drink, but she just couldn't. Her jaw started to make some awful noises, so I called Woodlands back and they set me up with Josie's last appointment. I refused to allow her to suffer on my behalf and for my emotional support; I loved her too much. Dr. LeBoldus showed me her condition in real time and it was even more awful than I thought it to be. Dr. LeBoldus and the Woodlands staff were empathetic and supportive toward me in what would turn out to be one of the most brutal and difficult decisions I would have to make in my life; Josie was put to sleep on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021. It absolutely broke me; my Friend is gone. The Woodlands Vet Staff were wonderful to me from the beginning, through the middle, and finally the end, as they were to Josie. They even showed me support after the fact. I felt cared for, seen, heard, supported, and attended to, as I saw Josie was as well. Thank you Dr. LeBoldus and the staff at Woodlands Veterinary Hospital & Animal Dental Centre... for everything. Kindly, Tomislav Viskovic

Positive experience: Lovely doctor and staff. But was blown away by the price of medication. 1 treatment chew for my 12 pound dog was $45. But found out the same medication at a nearby vet was $9. Yikes.

Amazing deal! That is well below cost price from either of the provincial distributors that vet hospitals use for their supplies for that medication.

Negative experience: Would not return. I don’t question the competence of the clinic and could be a one off bad experience. First, they get your pet pre-approved for insurance without your consent and they start emailing you about before you even leave the clinic, which really rubbed me the wrong way. Why is my information going to a third party without even asking me? Super uncomfortable. They have above average pricing, and I found the “bedside manner” and advice with the humans a bit fear-based and felt treated like we were naive or uneducated. Always lots to learn and I value professional advice, but grew up in a veterinarian family so was a bit put off by the approach as I’m not totally unaware. We had to request the invoice afterwards as it wasn’t automatically provided, and then they had charged us for something we didn’t buy in the invoice they didn’t want to provide! They offered credit on the account instead of a refund but we will probably lose that as we won’t go back. I see they are generally commenting on negative reviews here with dismissive comments/discrediting them, so unclear what the response will be to this one, but I’ll leave a review hoping it helps others with a bit more info. My puppy was happy enough there, though!

Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Animal Dental Centre
Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Animal Dental Centre

Hi Amy, I'm sorry that you had a negative experience at our hospital. We don't know what medical knowledge a client has on their first visit so we always start at the beginning. It's important to us that people understand what to do with their pets. It's hard to practice preventative medicine without making clients aware of what the potential health issues are and how best to avoid them. It certainly isn't meant to be fear-based, just educational. All of the staff work hard at what they do and act in the pets' best interests so, if there is any review that doesn't depict an accurate representation of events I will comment to that effect. Why should any reviewer get to post untruths without comment back? We have new staff up front and they're still training. All new patients get a trial offer for pet insurance by email. It needs to be activated by the client and its amazing how many times it's used in that first month of free coverage. The mistake for that receptionist was not ensuring that you wanted it to begin with even though the attending vet discussed insurance with you. The second error was with your retail purchase where you were mistakenly billed for boxes of poop bags instead of the single one that you did buy. It wasn't caught prior to payment. My understanding is that you were offered the chance to put it back on your credit card. Nonetheless, we don't want a credit on your account that you will not use. Please bring your credit card used for purchase to reception so that we can return the balance.

Fantastic experience: We have always been pleased and impressed with the care and attention that our pets have received at Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic. Our first two pets, a Golden Retriever and a big orange cat, first met the staff at the hospital approximately twenty years ago. Since then, our pets lived long and happy lives through plenty of exercise, good nutrition, and excellent veterinary care. We now have a new Golden Retriever puppy. The Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic have provided his health care from an initial checkup, through his inoculations, to a recent minor skin irritation. As always, the staff handled our dog cheerfully and professionally. Dr. Nagy’s examination was comprehensive and complete, and her answers to my questions were thoughtful and thorough. It remains clearly evident to me that the team at Woodlands Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic love their work and the animals in their care.

Fantastic experience: Our dogs have been cared by them for over 10 years from annual checkups to dental cleaning. They care so much for our dogs and we are grateful for all you do for them.

Fantastic experience: Our recent experience with the clinic in general and Dr. MacKenzie specifically was excellent. His gentle caring and patient approach with our two year old dog was exceptional and was just what we were looking for in our vet. The information he shared was thorough and detailed allowing us to understand the medical conditions with which our pup was dealing as well as the treatment options. Definitely a top notch service for those whose pets are important to us!

Fantastic experience: Our 10 year old shelty Sam had severe periodontal disease and had to have >30 teeth extracted. The team at Woodland Veterinary worked closely with our regular vet to assess the problem, evaluate options, prep Sam for surgery, and even to answer any questions we had. Dr McKenzie and Dr Pang took very good care of Sam during and after surgery. Sam was back in action in less than a week. We have a lot of gratitude and respect for the Woodlands Veterinary team.

Fantastic experience: You guys are awesome!! Thank you for all the years of care you have given our fur kids! We have been coming here for 26 years. Travel across the city to get to Woodlands! Truly worth it for the care our kids receive. Thanks so much. It really is appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Some of the most competent and knowledgeable vets In Calgary. My dogs are my world and I feel lucky to have vets that understand this.

Fantastic experience: I was worried about taking my reactive american bulldog in for a dental consult. Turns out I did not need to worry as the team was well prepared for us and the appointment went off without a hitch!

Fantastic experience: They provide assessments and procedure as if it were their animal to ensure the best course of action. They do not insist on unnecessary procedures to make an extra buck at your pets expense.

Fantastic experience: Incredible team at Woodlands Clinic. Dr.Tom LeBoldus & his incredible colleagues care so deeply for their human & animal clients. Our very sick 10 year old labradoodle has made a 180• turn around and is healing rapidly. Thank you doesn’t quite encapsulate our gratitude. Bless you all.

Positive experience: Centrally located in same strip mall as Safeway so convenient to get there by transit if necessary. Staff got me in on short notice. Was surprised anyone would be in .... it was day after heavy snowfall. The vet provided conservative treatment options as well as ption to pursue more in-depth treatment. There was zero pressure to change my choice to start conservative treatment first. Staff checked in with me on how my cat was doing toward end of treatment even tho it was near the Christmas holidays.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tom LeBoldus has treated Sparky for minor and major issues over the past 7+ years. He takes time to clearly communicate his treatment, follow up and home care. I trust his judgement and guidance in keeping Sparky healthy.

Fantastic experience: Very attentive and very responsive. If I can't get in to see the Vet, they recommend services and treatment. The Vets are VERY personable and offer honest opinions (if it was my cat.....) which has saved me money and stress many times. I'm very happy here.

Rachel Terrell 5 years ago

Negative experience: By far, way over priced! Not only did the veterinarians make me feel like a terrible pet owner, they also wanted to charge me over triple the price (to which I paid somewhere else) for the exact same surgery for my cat AND even had the audacity to tell me to “borrow money from friends and family” to help pay for the cost. With the exception of their receptionist this place is definitely not worth going to. (Just as an example a bandage change for my cat at this clinic is 40$ whereas other places charge only 10$).

We have no record of you in our system so I cannot comment on anything that you’ve said about our staff. It doesn’t sound like what we’d do as we give owners options for therapy. We follow a recommended fee schedule so I know that we’re not overpriced. You’re welcome to call to discuss further.

Fantastic experience: A cancellation saved the day for my poor cat who fractured her tooth. Staff were very caring and gentle with her. They took the time to answer my questions and ensure my cat had the best care. I was impressed how Dr McKenzie walked me through the surgery and had the xrays and photos to show me everything that happened. He helped me understand what all the issues were and how they addressed each one. With this I know my girl was fully taken care of which eased my stress a ton. It wasn't a cheap but that's part of owning a pet. She's worth every cent to live a happy and healthy life. Thank you to all the staff that assisted in our time of need.

Fantastic experience: Dr. LeBoldus is thorough, personable and really gets to know your pet(s). This is the only clinic in Calgary that I have found that does not push to do unnecessary tests, but instead, they educate you on your options, what the outcomes of those options may be, and what will be the best for your pet at that time. From 2012 to 2017, Woodlands took amazing care of my old girl Bailey as well as my current dog Brandy after she was adopted in 2017. Unfortunately, I moved out of the community in 2017. That is up until 2 months ago when I moved back and although Bailey has now crossed the rainbow bridge, I can't express enough how happy I am for Brandy to be back under their care. I more than highly recommend this clinic - plus, the front staff and vet techs are great too.

Fantastic experience: So far, so good. First visit with a rescue pup and the experience went smoothly and was very educational for me. Dr Nagy is very friendly and enthusiastic, had answers for all my questions and wrote everything down for me afterward so I wouldn't forget. As a new puppy owner, this visit was invaluable. Got second round of shots in one go, third one still upcoming. The staff have all been friendly and love seeing my pup every time we come in. They have also been helpful over the phone with answers that save me a visit. Dr. Nagy took the time to explain everything she was looking at during her wellness exam which was invaluable to me in knowing what to look for in my day to day with the puppy. She also helped me see what she sees when checking a broken tooth so that I knew exactly what was happening and how to care for it. Dr Nagy is so patient and knowledgeable, and takes a lot of care to answer my questions making sure I understand what she has said. Please keep it up! And thank you for the excellent experience.

Fantastic experience: we had the most unplanned visit one day to the pet store with the grandchildren and ended up falling in love with a sweet little one-year-old cat that had just given birth to three kittens at 6 pounds. She had been rescued, examined by an out-of-town vet and passed with a mild case of gingivitis. We went ahead and adopted her but definitely noticed within days that her mouth was foul, she couldn’t eat food, your hands would reek with the smell. We contacted the rescue society and they said to take her back to the out-of-town vet. I ended up driving out of town leaving her there for the day and they extracted 4 teeth. No blood work done no x-rays done and I brought her home. We then noticed her mouth wasn’t any better. We took her over to Dr. McKenzie at Woodlands vet and it was the best decision we ever made. He did research on our kitty, he could quote you stats and scenarios on different diseases of the cat mouth, he was always in consultation with us. This is when Covid was at the peak and he would come out to the car and we would stand with our masks on having debates about how we could treat this poor cat. all of our conversations would begin with him saying “if this is my cat this is what I would recommend. ‘ Those little words meant a lot to me. I’m a medical professional for people but I don’t know cats I don’t know their mouths I don’t know their disease structures. We went ahead and had extensive dental work done and every subsequent visit every follow up I wasn’t charged. he was just very concerned for her health. when she had to go back for a second big procedure imagine my glee when he phoned and said you won’t believe it ! three out of four of her teeth are better now. Let’s not do the surgery. We are retired. We are not rich. But we do accept the responsibility of being a caring pet owner. No animal or person should have to suffer. If your pet has a simple problem and you feel you can get it treated out of town at a cheaper vet please do. We did that route twice and it failed miserably for us. thank YOU Dr McKenzie

Fantastic experience: This is a good vet clinic. We have been bringing our cat here for over 8 years, and the current staff and doctor are very good. The doc doesn't rush the appointment and happy to answer all questions. The downsides, it's not cheap, and because the doc is so nice, appointments do tend to run late, so you might be waiting a while for your turn. Still, it's a place we trust thanks to the quality doctor.

Fantastic experience: This clinic has literally save our fur babies life couple years ago. Harley was found to have cancer and needed urgent surgery, she lost her leg. The journey post surgery was incredibly emotional, the clinic always called to checkin. We had a battle with pet insurance for coverage of surgery/medication, the clinic joined our fight, going above and beyond. This clinic has become a second home for us with Harley, as she continues have new struggles. When I walk in the doors I feel an comfort and safety from the team. So truly greatful for this amazing clinic and team

Fantastic experience: Me, my girlfriend and our Pablito were very impressed with everything. Everyone was so polite and friendly plus the veterinarian was amazing. He called us before he even touched Pablito so we could give him a brief rundown of his symptoms and history. He let us know what the problem was and a couple days later, Pablitos all better:) I convinced my girlfriend to leave the other vet because your facility, staff and the vet are all exponentially better. Thank you for helping my boy and we'll see you again:)

Fantastic experience: Given the current economic reality I wish the cost had been lower. But Tipper is like a new puppy and that’s what really matters. Dr. McKenzie was very personable and patient with all my questions. Tipper healed well just as he explained to us. Staff were very good too.

Negative experience: If I could give them zero star I would I went there for consultation for my dog teeth extraction I had quote and didn't service at the Woodlands vet Before I leave, ask to receptionist but she told me free to go In January They called me to pay for consultation $99 and I discussed with them They changed their attitude badly and they force me to pay by sending it to claims! They spoke very rude and I shocked. I am extremely unhappy with their service here are why 1. If payment is required they must let customers know before customers leave ( called 2 month later and ask to pay? doesn't make sense ) 2. Customer care need to be more improvement ( they keep trying to force payment and very rude....most of important part is they ONLY FOCUS TO TAKES MONEY, not to explain the situation or of customer care... Also, $99 not a huge money however, I do not like how they care for customers and I got shocked! how extremely rude they are) 3. They blame all the mistake to the customers.... ( Receptionist told me free to go and now they blame me to didn't pay... doctor told me that was receptionist mistake but still force me to pay ) Now they are trying to taking the money from sending me to claims and I am very unhappy with this situation won't be back again!

Hi John, in fact you omitted several key points and have misrepresented yourself in this. You came in for a consultation in September. When we realized that you had left without paying, we contacted you immediately and left a message on your voice mail. Over the next several months we left more messages on the same voicemail, none of which you responded to. Finally, in January, when we said we’d have to send you to collections you chose to respond. I think that we’d been more than considerate with a delinquent account. If reception actually let you go without paying for your office visit I can only surmise that they mistook you for one of our recheck dental appointments as the fee was on your account as of the time of the appointment. Even though we did not provide any dental services for your pet and, as a mutual decision, will not I hope that you had the tooth addressed as it is a quality of life concern.

Fantastic experience: My dog was referred here for a root canal on his canine tooth. The entire experience was excellent. From the Doctor that performed the procedure to all the interactions with the front desk and vet assistants. I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone. I felt my little pup was very well taken care of and I have confidence the dental work was done very well.

Fantastic experience: Dr Mackenzie is an amazing guy. He has a lot of pride in what he does, explains things very clearly. His knowledge and love for animals. If it wasn't for meeting him, my dog would not have made it. He fixed a lot of damage another surgeon caused. If you ever need mouth surgery on your pet, I highly suggest you don't go any where else. Its easier on your pet to have things done right the first time.

Fantastic experience: The doctors and staff at this clinic are incredibly friendly and most importantly take excellent care of my Gemini. I changed vets about a year ago because of the uncleanliness of the other clinic. I was greatly impressed with the cleanliness of this clinic--I don't worry about my cat getting sick because of an unclean atmosphere. The doctor has always listened to all my concerns and is incredibly empathic. He has always taken the time to explain why decisions are made-I have a great respect for this clinic and I have recommended it to others (every chance I get)

Positive experience: We have been going to Woodlands Vet for at least the last 8 years. Our dealings with Dr. LeBoldus have been very positive. He is very honest and provides easy to understand information. Appointments are relatively easy to get and the staff at the front are always very friendly. It does seem a bit pricier than other vets I have visited but for the service and convenience it hasn't deterred us from going there.
