Fantastic experience: She helped so much when I was pregnant. My hips caused me so much pain, she helped me get through my pregnancy. And she was very kind, understanding and helpful. Not at all like other chiropractors I’ve been to that push products and monthly plans.

Negative experience: Mediocre experience, for a massage the place was very loud and busy, you can hear everyone talking and doors slamming constantly. The seating area in front was full and I didn’t find the receptionist or the massage therapist the most friendliest. I stated on booking and on intake form pregnant, Anne Adkins was not aware, I told her I’m pregnant and she oh your pregnant let me go get the pillow, she was late for appt and in a rush, breathing hard, walked in on me before I was able to even lie down and didn’t say two words the entire massage and did not go over time even though she was late. She didn’t lower the bed, I had to climb on quite high. I’m curious if I was even using the pregnancy form correctly but I hope so. There should be more attention given to these details. Active Health does not take Sunlife direct billing. There was two black hair on the sheets that Anne grabbed one off and I grabbed the other before lying down.

Negative experience: I booked an appointment with them for massage. One of their receptionist called and informed that they got short notice cancellation and if I would like to have that appointment. My original appointment was 10 days after that so I accepted their short notice cancellation appointment. After 10 days they called me and asked me if I am coming for the appointment or not. I told them that I just had a massage 10 days ago as I accepted their short notice cancellation appointment. Guess what they charged me for short notice cancellation. anyways I paid cancellation fees. I know its tough time for everyone but please find some ethical ways to earn. WHEN YOU CALL SOMEONE TO TAKE YOUR SHORT NOTICE CANCELLATION, MAKE SURE YOU CANCEL THEIR EXISTING APPOINTMENT. IT'S COMMOM SENSE. IT'S NOT CLIENT'S JOB TO DO THAT. I am just adding response to the reply I got. My wife Kinjal Purohit booked that appointment on her name so cancellation fees were charged to her account. I explained the same situation 2 times but they were pretty firm on charging cancellation fees. It’s paid so no issues but I have to write what actually happened. I am also a busy professional , I write reviews when I have time. It is strange to me that you just randomly call me have cancellation appointment. I already had an appointment after 10 days. Smart clinician would think that why a young healthy individual without any medical issues would need massage therapy in 10 days..

Fantastic experience: Met with Sarah for my initial assessment and it went really well. She took the time to ask all the questions and Her techniques were good. I left feeling much better not just right away but for the week to follow. I have seen Sarah for a bunch of sessions now and have been very happy with her services and will continue to see her for my chiropractic needs. I have seen Katie the Naturopath for Trigger Point Injections and was very impressed with her knowledge. She was very gentle and I left there feeling better than when I came. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a new chiropractor, I cannot recommend this location enough. They currently have three chiropractors and I've had a session with all three but my main chiropractor is Dr. Laura McCall. It's clear Laura cares for her patients, is very knowledgeable and will take the time to explain not only what is going on with you but WHY, which I really appreciate! On top of being very professional and lovely person, I can usually get in to see Laura pretty quick.

Fantastic experience: After having a negative experience with an ER doctor about my shoulder injury, I was hesitant to seek further assessment. Shreya, one of the physiotherapists at Active Health, was so attentive and validating and made the WSBC process much less stressful. She uses a very person-centred approach and is helping me navigate achievable short and long-term goals. I already see chiro and RMT at Active Health and appreciate how caring and supportive each practitioner has been. The online booking process makes it easy to find an appointment that works for your schedule and the receptionists are always happy to help if needed. I highly recommend trying Active Health!

Fantastic experience: I have had the opportunity to see a few practitioners at Kamloops Active Health over the years, most recently during my pregnancy with my second child. Dr. Brise is incredible knowledgeable and passionate about pre-natal care and I had an absolutely AMAZING pre-natal massage with Anne Adkins. Her pillow set up is second to none in the massages I have and over the course of this pregnancy, and she delivered a deep and effective massage while being mindful of my pregnant body. Highly recommend all around!

Fantastic experience: I saw Shreya for the first time today and I was blown away by her knowledge and expertise! After working through all the exercises she gave me together this morning, I walked around pain free for the first time in 2 years!! I would highly recommend Shreya to anyone!

She has always provided an excellent service. She is courteous, prompt and has always been very RESTPECTFUL. She always asks the reason for my visit and adjusts her technique and pressure accordingly. She is Patient, Kind and always on time. I only have positive comments about her.

Fantastic experience: Anne Adkins has been my massage therapist for ages, following her wherever she is practicing. I could not ask for a better therapeutic relationship. Appointments begin with "How can I help you today?" which although she knows me and my body very well, always gives me the opportunity to say which part of my physicality is the worst off on the given day...some remnant of my 35+year-old car accident injuries, knees feeling the impact of years working on concrete floors, or mental/emotional/spiritual pain striking my body. She treats more than just the body...mind and spirit too. She has kept me moving, forward, mobile, relieved of my paIn, and I look forward to many more visits to come.

Fantastic experience: I have been receiving massages from Anne Adkins for about 8-10 years and I am devastated that she has moved to Kamloops! You are all very blessed to have a phenomenal and intuitive therapist there. She gives massages in a way that gets deep into the issue but also leaves you feeling completely relaxed and calm. I am not the person that enjoys a super deep “no pain no gain” massage so Anne was perfect! Butter me up, get deep into the pain and then smooth it all over. Fabulous and just perfect! Fantastic experience: I have had two massages from Anne Adkins at Kamloops Active Health. It is a warm and welcoming clinic from the moment you arrive. My massage with Anne was very relaxing, she worked on my trouble areas and was very good at releasing the tension in my jaw and neck. I felt like I was moving better and in far less pain when I left. I look forward to seeing her again soon for another massage.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Dr. Emily Middleton after experiencing upper shoulder and back pain that was referring down to my elbow for a few days. She took the time to understand all of my prior issues and treatments and provided an active release treatment for me. Within about 1 hr after the appointment the pain had subsided and over the next 2 days it completely subsided.

Fantastic experience: Front staff are friendly and helpful and Dr. Brise is an amazing knowledgable and skilled chiropractor.

Fantastic experience: I can already feel a positive difference after my first appointment with Dr. Brise. When I had to travel across Canada for work, I went through the assessment process in each province, and, comparatively, Sarah provided the most thorough assessment I've ever had.

Fantastic experience: I'm not a big fan of massage ( just not a touchy feely person) but sometimes it's required, and today I had a excellent treatment from James. I felt very comfortable in the setting, and James really listened to what my experience was and focused on the areas that were an issue. When providing the treatment, if I felt the pressure was too hard, he readjusted right away. I appreciated his professional manner throughout the appointment. Even though I don't love massages in general, if I feel I need another one, I will definitely call James!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient here at the clinic since Drs. Brise and McCall opened. I’ve had nothing but amazing service with the chiropractors. Saturday was my first visit with Barb. I was lucky to get referred by Sarah (thank YOU). My appointment was amazing. Barb listened to my concerns, we kept up a good amount of chatter and when I started to go silent she matched my mood. Her massage technique was stellar, and most importantly she made me feel comfortable on the table. Also her table is low to the ground and then rises up to Barb… how cool is that?! Amazing experience already booked in for another session. My shoulder and neck pain thank you!

Fantastic experience: This clinic is great! I have received chiro, physio, and massage services from multiple practitioners here over the last 4 years and don't have a single bad thing to say about my experience. I love the online booking feature, and staff are very quick to respond to calls/emails. During my pregnancy it was comforting to be able to continue receiving services at a familiar place with their specially trained staff. I recently brought my 7 month old for physio and they were great with her.

I’ve been to many chiropractors over the years and this was the first place that actually strived to help me not just have me come back every Friday for a quick crack . Their goal is to NOT have you come back as they want to bring healing into your life not quick fixes . They also use muscle release in their practice and are always accessing and recommending other modalities if needed . Their RMT’s are also phenomenal . Kamloops Active Health has helped me through unbearable hip pain, pregnancy and a car accident . No matter which practitioner I go to they all carry the same values and quality of care . If you’re struggling with any sort of pain this is a great place to go !

Fantastic experience: Chiropractor treatments and physiotherapy treatments at Kamloops Active Health helped me get my life back. I suffer from chronic pain do to arthritis in my hips, a hip impingement, and lower back pain. By following their treatment plan I was successful to get back to doing the thing I enjoy the most, running around with my kids, playing sports, mountain biking and hiking. Their treatment plan was easy to follow, which included strength training, stretching exercises, dry needling, massage and chiropractor adjustments. The front office staff is always friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone that needs help rehabbing any type of injury or chronic pain.

Negative experience: I have been coming to Kamloops Active Health for many years now and have never had a bad experience until now. The woman at the front desk was rude, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. I will no longer be coming here to get my massages and I will be advising my friends and family to do the same.

Fantastic experience: I just moved here. I immediately needed to find a great Chiro asap. The 1st one I picked was a disaster. I only chose based on location for which I really regret but I was in such pain, that the closest was the 1st choice. Thankfully, after learning from that lesson, I researched and selected a Chiro based on their skills and location secondary. Thankfully I chose the Best one I could have chosen and the bonus is they are still quite nearby! I felt immediately at ease when she approached me.Dr. Brise took the time and listened to what I had to say regarding my spinal health etc. Took notes and evaluated....before just adjusting. She worked on areas that caused me the most pain and discomfort first. After 1st session I could already feel things start to unlock! The journey to better spinal/general health continues under her care. I know I can trust her.I feel quite safe/comfortable under her care .With her skills of Chiropractic combined with Kinesiology, I'm very grateful to have found her.

Fantastic experience: I have been accessing the excellent services at this clinic for many years (for a lot of different issues) and I wholeheartedly and very highly recommend every clinician here. If you are in pain, these are the people to see - from chiropractic treatments to naturopathy and acupuncture and massage therapy! The staff here are not just skilled and conscientious — every one I’ve met is a caring and concerned and thoughtful human. Love these women (especially Laura).

Fantastic experience: Lindsay is very thorough & very personable. She asks when is too much & or if you can do more. I also see Eric at this clinic and he is very personable. He does a wonderful job. If you need an RMT come see Eric you won't be disappointed.

Negative experience: Very friendly staff, closed/private environment for appointments. Unfortunately did not receive proper assessment as a pregnant woman, was simply asked health history/family history related questions and where current pain was... was then told to return closer to due date for adjustments. I decided to go elsewhere so that I could receive proper assessment and treatment, and support in reaching my healing goals during and after pregnancy.
