Sumas Sport and Spine is a multi-disciplanary healthcare and wellness clinic consisting of chiropractors, physiotherapists, and massage therapists. We provide multi-disciplinary care along with prescriptive bracing and orthotics as well as integrating low intensity laser therapy within our facility. In association with Innovative Fitness Abbotsford we also provide state-of-the-art rehabilitation, personal training and performance enhancement.

Fantastic experience: I’ve recently been seeing Dr.Funk and starting to book bi weekly sessions for chiro! He listens to the pain and adjusts accordingly. I also stated to him I know overnight healing in not gonna happen and me losing some weight and proper rest and stretches will help with my pain! He doesn’t push for weekly appointments even with me being covered well with insurance. He’s extremely professional and shows me what exercises that will help with my back pain! Chiro isn’t a miracle pill. It is a step in the right direction to longevity and other life choices like nutrition, exercise and stretches will help! Great business! Great staff!

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Courtney Bartel for my foot problem - I couldn’t walk with sharp pain on my ankle, whatever she did helped me that I went back for my wrist shoulder and neck. Fantastic experience: 10 stars!!! I have never ever been one for utilizing physiotherapy if I'm honest. But after I have been dealing with significant pain in my back and arm... I knew I had to do something. I am so glad I found them. Not only is the online portal one of the easiest platforms I have used.. definitely user friendly... All the staff really go above and beyond. They are all so helpful and so kind. My first appointment, my therapist knew right away why I was suffering, and after one visit... I was able to have some relief after over a week of intense pain. I will continue treatment until I know I am better, but knowing I have the full support here, I will come here for all of my treatment needs. It also is amazing that they have chiropractors and massage therapy all in the same place.! Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: Physiotherapy is leagues above anyone else. Doctors will work with you to find the problem and respect affordability. I had a misdiagnosed/mistreated shoulder and rehabbed it back together within a few months and a handful of appointments.

Negative experience: In the beginning, Dr Marshall was making adjustments that worked. However, the last few appointments were a waste of my time. I'm not getting better. I have pain in my back and neck that need adjustments that are not being done. Sometimes the pain is so great that I feel sick to my stomach and can barely move around. I don't know what to say or do.

Negative experience: My lower back got injured because of doing deadlifts. I was going through lot of pain and decided to see a chiropractor. Payed for 2 sessions and the pain still not go away. Rather then fixing my back they were just booking me sessions to make money. In my opinion it’s complete rip off and they don’t care about their patients.

We are all too familiar with wishing our patient's injuries would go away sooner rather than later (hence the exercises and/or rest we encourage).
The nature of your specific challenge is not an overnight fix. It takes time (4 - 6 weeks) and a superhuman commitment from both yourself and the Team here to make sure you accomplish your goals. That's all we want for you.

Negative experience: My first time here, they tell me to show up 15 minutes early to get some papers filled. I get there and there are signs everywhere saying text us to let us know you’re here. I send a text, wait 25 minutes, no one comes to get me. I get a call from reception asking where I am? What do you mean where am I? I’m waiting outside like all your signs tell me too. “Ohh sorry we need to you come in and fill some things out cuz you haven’t been here” well then why was I waiting outside for 25 minutes you could have maybe not waisted all that time. Then I realize I wasn’t even booked for a RMT like I had booked on the phone originally. They booked me for a physiotherapist. Poor organization and total disregard for clients time.
Hello Amin, I am so sorry that you had such a bad experience on your first visit here to our clinic. With all these protocols to keep everyone safe and comfortable, there are sometimes some glitches. I have looked into what happened and it appears there was a delay in receiving your alert that you were here and we are so sorry for that. We are doing our best to mitigate these occurrences. With respect to being booked to a physiotherapist appointment and not an RMT appointment, this is our mistake and again we apologize for that as well. Please know that we value everyones time and we take these issues seriously and will do our best to prevent it from happening in the future. Again we apologize for the misunderstanding and hope we can demonstrate to you in the future how great our facility is.

Positive experience: I have gone to this clinic for massage therapy and acupuncture and everyone I’ve seen there has Been extremely professional beginning with the receptionists specially Charlene they are quick to call you back or respond to email and are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have seen Joanne for a couple of years now for massage therapy and she is wonderful. The acupuncturist Chris is also very knowledgable and very personable and likes to talk, but he is experienced in his craft.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sieben for chiro has done wonders for both myself & husband every time! Migraine & thrown out back not to mention up-keep . He is full of knowledge and has options to help treat you! It’s not all just crack crack crack Highly recommend
