She worked with me and my best friend of 40 years on my wedding day in late July 2025, and brought out the best in both of us with natural looking, flawless skin and dreamy hairstyles! I provided a picture of the hairstyle I was envisioning and Amanda replicated it perfectly. Her presence was calming and fun and she was and is a joy to be around in addition to her being very skilled at what she does. Fantastic experience: I was visiting the Vancouver/Nanaimo area from the United States for a convention with my friend Rachael a little over a week ago. I wanted to make the occasion special for Rachael. But with it being a holiday weekend, I was afraid I would not be able to find someone to do makeup that weekend. Fantastic experience: I had an online consultation and makeup lesson with Amanda, and it was so lovely! She is very knowledgeable and patient, and showed me how to do an easy everyday makeup look using products I already own. She also had some great suggestions for products for me to try... Canadian brands, good prices, and available at drugstores. I love everything I've tried so far, and have received nice comments on my makeup from friends. Thank you Amanda!

Fantastic experience: Amanda was incredibly informative with an abundance of information. She really took the time to listen to my needs and preferences. She worked with the products I already had and recommended some natural, Canadian owned products that were affordable. Fantastic experience: I recently had a makeup lesson with Amanda, and I wanted to share how fantastic it was! I learned so much and had so much fun. Fantastic experience: I attended a small (3 person) make up tutorial and LOVED what Amanda taught us. I never learned how to apply make up so as a 44 year had so many questions about what to apply, in what order, and how! Amanda was so kind and answered all my questions and gave us lots of personal attention to meet all our needs. Fantastic experience: We booked Amanda for our wedding in Ucluelet in August. She was so responsive to all my questions, and was very easy to plan with when we were passing through Nanaimo earlier in the Spring to arrange a hair/make up trial. Amanda arrived bright and early on the day of our wedding, just as she said she would and worked her way through each person efficiently and with much care. It was a joy to have her with us that morning and I could not have asked for a more chill and relaxing space to get ready to get married in. Fantastic experience: Amanda did an amazing job for my wedding in July 2024. Prior to my bridal hair trial, Amanda and I spoke on the phone and after showing pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like for the day Amanda helped me find some affordable hair extensions that were great quality that I used on the day. During the wedding hair trial, Amanda was so kind and made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. Amanda brought this same amazing energy to my wedding day. Amanda instantly connected with my whole bridal party and even offered to give us a muffin recipe that she has that is filling when someone is needing a recharge. Overall Amanda was truly so kind and professional. My hair on my wedding day turned out even better than I could have imagined and lasted the entire day. Fantastic experience: Amanda did a great job for my wedding on May 2024. Her communication throughout the whole process was amazing with quick responses and flexible booking. Our initial meeting before booking was held over the phone which allowed for a quick conversation that really helped to learned if Amanda was the correct choice. Completed a hair and makeup trial at her house which went so well and she allowed me to bring along both my sister and mother where we got to meet her wonderful dog. Both at the wedding and during the trial run Amanda created such a calm environment and engaged in lovely simple conversations. She really understood my desire for a natural makeup look and it held really well. I always believe that makeup shouldn't change the way people look but enhance the beauty already present and Amanda did just that!! On my wedding day Amanda also completed hair styling for four other ladies and they all turned out beautifully and held so well! All four ladies loved their hair which made this experience so worth it. I could not be happier with my decision to use Amanda and would highly recommend her! Fantastic experience: Amanda was extremely flexible when my place to get ready for my wedding kept changing!!! Her make up and hair abilities are out of this world. I was set on a certain hair and make up look, and without a trial she got the look exactly how I wanted it. I felt beautiful on my wedding day, and my makeup lasted from noon (when I got it done) till 3 am when I went to bed. I danced for hours in humid weather and my make up looked flawless. My hair is naturally curly and she worked with my curl to make it exactly how I wanted. She was personable, kind, great listener and very calm, which helps during a stressful day. Fantastic experience: Amanda recently delivered a private makeup lesson for my mom and I. Not only was she willing to travel, but she was so easy to coordinate with and took the time to chat with us beforehand regarding what our goals were for the session. The session itself was absolutely wonderful - she was so knowledgeable and receptive to our goals and comfort levels, and was extraordinarily helpful in teaching us how to work with the shape of our faces and desired outcomes to achieve several different looks. Fantastic experience: Amanda was absolutely amazing! She did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I, and we were all very impressed with the outcome. I have eczema and normally find wearing makeup very uncomfortable but this was not the case on my wedding day, which I’m so thankful for. Fantastic experience: Amanda travelled to do five hairstyling services for my wedding on Gabriola (bride, bridesmaids and moms). She arrived bright and early, powered through nearly five hours of hair with touch-ups at the end, and did an amazing job (plus was lovely and cheerful to hang out with!). I only had a vague idea of what I wanted and she ran with it and made it look great. Everyone was very happy with their hair. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Amanda did my sisters and mine make up and hair for my wedding in August 2017. I don't wear make up usually, so I asked to look natural but pretty and for my hair to be in a loose, low bun - not really giving Amanda much direction. But she didn't need any direction! She delivered a result I was so, so, so happy with. Amanda nailed the pretty but natural look and my hair was beautiful. She has a great natural touch, and instead of making you look like a different person she is great at enhancing your natural features. I appreciated what a calming and laid back presence she was at my morning of. She has a great energy to her, and was super lovely to work with. I would definitely recommend her!

Fantastic experience: I had my hair and make done by Amanda for my son's wedding in August. I started with my trial as it was the first time I had worked with Amanda. I was fairly happy with my trial but did want a few changes with make up. Amanda immediately understood my concern with my age and type of make up, she also went out of her way to come on the wedding day at a time that was best for me. On the day of the wedding my make up was spectacular and my hair was fabulous. Exactly what I wanted. The quality of make up, eyelashes was excellent, my skin looked radiant. I am looking forward to booking Amanda for my next event. My friends and family all thought I looked beautiful.

Fantastic experience: Amanda is not only a skilled make-up artist, she’s also a pleasure to work with. Most other times that I have gotten makeup done professionally, I have felt that I didn’t end up looking natural or like myself and/or the make-up artist has had difficulty matching my brown skin tone.
