Fantastic experience: After my last doctor's appointment and a recommendation for yet another prescription, I decided to research an alternative. During this search I was directed to Apotheka and found it was only a couple of bl;ocks away. My first visit was extremely beneficial and I left with some herbal tea to address stomach issues. The staff was very informed and I must admit, I have not felt so good than in the past 8 months. The formulated Gut Healing Tea has settled my stomach issues, basically returning my health to 8 months ago. While there I discussed what might assist my wife with her sleep issues. The staff suggested a herbal tea called Deep Sleep and after the initial trial, my wife was amazed and thankful for a great sleep. We mentioned it to a neighbour who also expressed problems with sleeping. She walked over, purchased some Deep Sleep tea after discussing her situation with staff, and now she is sleeping so much better. A big shout out to the staff of Apotheka on Johnson street in Victoria. Your knowledge and understanding is appreciated.

Negative experience: Product is excellent but my wife came home disappointed. the ‘herbalist’ had the herbs just thrown in the carry bag which they provided. My wife had walked home without fixing, thought maybe the bag was too small and that’s why it was a mess…but we live around the corner from the shop. We realized that the sachets of herbs actually fit the bag perfectly and with no real effort or extra time when I put them in properly. Didn’t have to squeeze them and still the bag had extra room. The ‘herbalist’ had literally just chucked the sachets in the bag so that the bag seemed too small but it wasn’t. The cashiers at Walmart do a better job of packing my groceries. It’s just a bad impression that this ‘herbalist’ left my wife with, after she paid.

Fantastic experience: I went into Apotheka to find some supplements for anxiety and depression, maybe an adaptogen. I wasn´t sure. I also needed to stock up on my regular vitamins: magnesium, vitamin C, and vitamin B. Michelle and David did a complete intake with me and spent the time to find out what was happening with me, my medical history, how the depression and anxiety was presenting along with my sleep and digestion. Over about 45 minutes we collaborated on a custom tincture formula that I would never have been able to figure out on my own or to find anywhere else. It honestly was like magic watching the two of them work together to come up with the tincture, make sure there were no contraindications with existing medications and also to make sure it was going to be a good fit given my experience of migraines and perimenopause. They honestly considered everything. I feel so well looked after. This is herbal medicine at is best.
