I have to say that he is one of the most kind, caring and compassionate doctors (chiropractors) I have ever had. He listens to your concerns and is willing to work with you to find a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle. I am living pain free now thanks to Dr. Williams.

Fantastic experience: I am very happy with the care received from Dr. Williams. He took the time to learn more about my sport and to find the real cause for my pain. He then provided a treatment plan, that worked with my current training plan, to correct the issues. My treatment sessions included time in the treatment room followed by time in the gym to practice the strengthening exercises. I would highly recommend Dr. Williams.

I've seen Quinn for athletic therapy - she has helped me rehabilitate two injuries (a hamstring strain and shoulder strain) with her helpful assessments and progressive treatment plans. I've seen Marcelo for registered massage and always walk away feeling better than when I walk in. In both cases, I appreciate the education the team provides which helps round out my care. Highly recommend!

What really started out as just a curiosity from watching videos to having my first appointment, it's amazing how relaxed I feel after every appointment. I came in with a chronic injury and left with it feeling the best it has in years. I couldn't say enough good things and I'd recommend him to anyone - especially if you're new to the chiro world!

Working with Isaac to create a chiro plan with exercises depending on my abilities and goals has been easy, with videos to refer back to as well. Jessica is very skilled and treats every knot and tight muscle. Cannot speak highly enough of the level of care provided!

Negative experience: Garbage company. Called two maybe 3 times over past year to get into doctor weeks wait couldn’t even see the dr!! not even worth it. May as well just go to public physician and save yourself 130 dollars month if you try and cancel your monthly subscription before there annual term they will make you pay for the year. Save your money. Lots of other doctors will be doing same very soon get yourself the treatment you deserve!

Fantastic experience: Massage, doctor, physio, chiro, kines., all in one place and they work together, with your permission, to improve your health. Clean, calm, on time. Marianne listens carefully and adjusts treatment accordingly. Great ideas for repairing issues and providing exercises to strengthen so it is less likely to happen again. She also has a great sense of humor!

Negative experience: The major problem I had was with the contract. I agreed to a year contract with Beta which means I’m legally required to pay a sum every month for 12 months. No problem. However, part way thru the contract, they raised the monthly amount by 18%! I have no recourse but to pay that raised amount until my contract is complete. I’ve never heard of a contract in which one party can change the terms at whim and the other party is obliged to continue to abide by that same contract. I asked them twice to send me the wording of the contract, so I could seek legal advice, but they haven’t done so. Also just be aware, it will you about two months to get an appointment with a doctor. It’s actually easier to book a walk-in appointment with a govt-funded doctor. I’m really sorry I signed up for this. I won’t be renewing my contract.

Fantastic experience: After reading some negative reviews of Beta's practitioners, and based on previous unfavorable experiences with other physiotherapists, I was a little apprehensive for my initial physiotherapy appointment. However, Beta's Royal Oak convenient location, ample parking, well-appointed offices, and attentive front line staff reassured me I had made the right choice. Melissa Altherthum validated my doctor's recommendation, and demonstrated to be a competent, knowledgeable professional. After a thorough examination, she clearly explained my condition, and gave me pertinent advice. After a dry needle treatment in a pleasant, soothing environment, I left virtually pain free for the first time in over six months of ongoing hip and knee pain. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing acupuncture treatment from Aysha. She is really good at what she does, I barely noticed the needles going in and, checks in with you about how you are doing and whether you are comfortable. I felt that I was the focus of her attention while I was with her. My body feels so much better after my session with her and I will definitely come back.

Negative experience: My experience with Beta Therapeutics has been profoundly disappointing. Over the past year, I have faced multiple issues that have made me question the quality of care and professionalism of this clinic. First and foremost, I have had two different RMTs cancel on me for several appointments. This left me in a situation where I had already left my house, arranged childcare, or had my husband come home early from work to accommodate these appointments. As a new parent, this was exceptionally inconvenient and disruptive to my schedule. While I appreciate that the clinical director recognized the excessive cancellations and reached out to apologize, the proposed solution was far from satisfactory. When I asked for suggestions on how to reconcile this situation, I was simply encouraged to book an appointment with an RMT who is less prone to cancellations. This response lacked empathy and failed to address the root of the problem. On top of these cancellations, my son and I fell ill for two weeks, during a time when we are still navigating the challenges of the pandemic and approaching flu season. In the interest of safety, I decided not to attend the clinic and promptly notified the receptionist to cancel our appointments. However, I was never informed of any cancellation fees at that time. It was only later, when reviewing my credit card statements, that I discovered I had been charged for those two cancellations. While I understand that under normal circumstances, cancellation fees may be applicable, it's crucial to note that their clinicians had canceled my appointments on at least four separate occasions, often just minutes before my scheduled time. This inconsistency in policy enforcement was frustrating. When I reached out to the clinical director, the same person who had previously apologized for the cancellations, I expected some understanding or empathy given the circumstances. Instead, I was met with rigid adherence to their policy and a suggestion that the issue would be discussed at their next meeting. This lack of flexibility and customer-centric approach left me deeply dissatisfied. In summary, my experience with Beta Therapeutics has been marked by unreliable service, unaddressed concerns, and inflexible policies. I would strongly caution others against seeking care at this clinic, as there are likely better options available that prioritize patient satisfaction and well-being over bureaucratic rules and inconveniences.

Fantastic experience: Isaac is a great chiropractor. I have chronic pain in the neck, back and shoulder. His adjustments and suggestions for strengthening and maintenance have helped me immensely. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been in to Dr. Williams on two occasions and he has been both professional and kind. I really appreciate the soft tissue work he does prior to doing any adjustments. In this regard, his treatments are unlike any other chiropractor I have been to and help to alleviate my muscle tension.

Negative experience: I see that someone else posted a similar review to what I experienced while getting a massage here but with a different therapist. I had a massage with Dana and she made me feel uncomfortable after I electronically signed their consent form and asked for a copy to be sent to my email. She asked me, 'Why do you want a copy? Most people don't want a copy. I am curious to what you are going to do with that copy and how you are going to file that?". I was so shocked by her questioning that I just stared at her and didn't respond to such unprofessional questioning. She also was asking a lot of questions and I understand it was my first time seeing her, but I completed the intake form and had no injuries and wanted a stress relieving massage, but to be honest she just added to my stress with her odd pre-questions before the massage started. I even told her I had a stressful morning at work and she still asked those strange questions about the consent form. I read her profile and she is supposed to have expertise to help reduce stress, but she doesn't not know how to read a room or person. I unfortunately signed up for the 1 year membership. I hope the experience with the primary care physician, and the other massage therapists is better. I will give them another chance and have booked to get a massage with a different therapist. If all goes well then I will update my review or add another review. Also wanted to note that the admin front desk people were super nice and on top of things at first when you first sign up and I was initially impressed, and then after you are locked into the 1 year membership I have noticed the attention is not the same. I have had to call back and re-confirm massage appointment as the person didn't properly put it into their system when I was physically at the office. They also have not been very helpful when I have tried to book different assessments on the same day, so I don't have to come in several different times. So not super happy with the customer service from Beta Therapeutics at the moment, but I hope it gets better.

Fantastic experience: Great office, great staff. Took about a month to get an initial interview with Dr. Cutfeet but I was told that up front and completely understand that a new clinic takes time to onboard clients. I have no issues paying a small monthly fee for services like an annual physical, access to a dietician, and mental health assessment as those services are not covered by MSP anyways and are not inexpensive. I am very excited to have such an extensivet range of services available and so close to where I live. I thank the team at Beta for getting off to such a great start.

Knows what he's talking about and good to talk to. The clinic is very nicely laid out, nice equipment and friendly staff. Reasonable price for the service too.

Negative experience: “We understand this model doesn’t work for everyone…” You’re right. A $100+ monthly fee doesn’t work for everyone. What an astute observation. We need to be reducing barriers not adding fees while people are struggling. Health care is for everyone.

Negative experience: I came across this establishment via an article, On Times colonist. I was intrigued, having a doctor for $100(give or take) per month. Signed up for more information and to get enrolled in November. I then received a link that took me to information about the various programs I can sign up for. It was only then that it became apparent that the fee was per family member, and for an actual appointment it is $25 per person, at $181 per month and that still has some limitations and/restrictions. I personally do not care what businesses do that's their business, the thing that i found concerning here, is that it is not clear what the cost of this service actually is and it's disheartening for people seeking out doctors. I also noticed that anyone providing a review with a lower rating get the same response, stating this 'model doesnt work for everyone...voice your concerns to your local MLA...' no response is required.

UODATE: I started seeing Isaac for chiropractic and he is amazing. Very kind, patient, attentive, empathetic. He uses a variety of techniques and he does not rush his patients. I had a chiropractor in Nanaimo for 20 plus years and had not found one in Victoria that met all my preferences. I am very happy to have met Isaac and hope he is here to stay at Beta. He has already helped me ease some of my chronic pain.

Fantastic experience: I saw Samuel today for lower leg pain. I was looking for someone to strip that muscle. I wasn't looking for a gentle touch to be honest. His technique and strength is exactly what I was looking for. He is very fluid with his motion. I loved it! Negative experience: Charging users a fee for medical services is a rather pathetic practice from my perspective which excludes a wide variety of people who already have difficulty finding a doctor, and who may now not be able to afford your largely selfish choice in business operations.

Negative experience: A pay to use healthcare system like what's in the USA has NO place in Canada. You want to charge people for medical services move to the states don't make healthcare something for the rich only. Absolutely disgusting.

Fantastic experience: I am getting my RMT treatments from Jordyn Benoit at Beta Therapeutics. I’ve been to many RMTs at other places in the past, but strongly recommend Jordyn for the right massage technique that she use. I feel better after each appointment. Overall, Beta Therapeutics is a nice and convenient place for getting treatments and it’s easy to book appointments with them.

Fantastic experience: Probably the most indepth RMT appt I've ever had. The therapist I saw walked through my issues, tested my abilities and massaged the exact problem area. Is this how it's always supposed to go? I felt like I was "fixed" after the appt and that was great.

Fantastic experience: I have been done 4-5 sessions at BETA Therapeutics with Jessica. She's gentle, knowledgeable and know exactly how to relieve my heel and knee pain. I have tried so many places in Victoria for over 1 year, BETA Therapeutics is the one I like the most. Front desk team provides a wonderful customer services as well as very positive attitude. I will definitely miss this place as yesterday was my last session with them. I hope this business will be more success and opened new places in Alberta if possible. Cheers!

Fantastic experience: First massage I’ve had in a few years, I got a deep tissue massage targeted at my known sore spots/knots on my back. Jessica did a great job, went back two weeks later for a partial deep tissue and relaxation massage and it was heavenly. I’ve had bad knots in my back for years and it was nice getting them worked on.

Fantastic experience: I have problem with my back, lumbar, I have visited some other massage therapist, but no one is good as Jordyn, she is the best. I wish I could find her earlier. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Plans to charge a monthly fee for family practice patients, completely taking advantage of the desperation of people in Victoria to find a family doctor. I'm sure the practitioners at this clinic are great, but this kind of greed will absolutely lead to a two-tier healthcare system in our province. I sincerely hope the clinic rethinks this decision.

Fantastic experience: Melissa Altherum, the physio I have been seeing there is top notch. I have been to many physios over the years, and am very impressed with her knowledge and ability to explain what is happening/why, along with her gentle and supportive approach. My knee is finally better and I have been able to get back to activities I love and even new ones I didn't think I could ever do! I recommend her 100%. The clinic is also very clean, modern and organized, with wonderful staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Melissa for whiplash injury and have seen remarkable progress.. She is patient and knowledgeable. The dry needling is a game changer for me and have given me so much relief. Also Marcelo, RMT, have been doing some work on the same injury and I cannot say enough about these two. They are professional and very attentive, actually enjoying what they do. The front desk staff are always welcoming and friendly. I have to imagine how nice their smiles are because they are following proper protocols and wearing masks. Highly recommend this office and have every intention of seeking and exploring all the services available at this office. Marcelo does not disappoint.

Fantastic experience: Beta therapeutics is amazing! It’s a lovely new facility, and everyone is friendly. Joe is awesome and I’ve much enjoyed the attention to detail when adjusting various parts of my body, and gives me great points on how to stretch to help with my areas that are painful. I always feel much relaxed when I leave, and has helped my aggravated painful areas.

Negative experience: I had massage there which was great, but as a clinic. I am really not impressed. They have no flexibility. I contracted Covid and before I could get better, I had to schedule 2 other appointments and write this review to avoid getting charged $40 for late cancelation. Covid hasn't ended yet, a bit more flexibility and understanding would go a long way.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to BETA Therapeutics for the past few weeks now to get massage therapy and I have nothing but good things to say. The atmosphere is so peaceful and the staff are truly very kind and professional. They also do direct billing for icbc claims which made my process very easy and the receptionist was very helpful about what my options were. Definitely one of the best places to go if you need any treatments done!

Fantastic experience: I've had a few appointments with the RMT Jocelyn now and she's fantastic. Her treatment style and communication skills are excellent. The space is modern and clean, definitely a clinic vibe rather than a spa but still inviting. Both times I've been in the front desk staff were also very friendly.

Fantastic experience: Marcello does a great Massage, so relaxing that I came home and had a 2 hour nap. BETA therapeutics new space is SO VERY NICE! I felt welcome and at home, the first step in the new building. I loved the little dinosaurs on the Room Labels stickers, I have been recommending Marcello and BETA to everyone.

Fantastic experience: My massage was excellent! I have seen a lot of RMTs but Joseph is the only one who has able to get to the source of the problem and give me prolonged relief. Fantastic experience: I’ve been experiencing chronic neck and back pain for years. I have gone to many different massage therapy places over the years, but this is the first place that actually helped and gave my body relief after the first time. I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Marcelo. Right after I got home I took a 3 hour nap (note that that hasn’t happened to me since last summer). My body felt finally relaxed! I’m definitely going to continue massage therapy at BETA Therapeutics, because now I have hope that my body can get better again.
