Fantastic experience: Dr. Zack’s care and love for animals is obvious. We have never felt more comfortable with a Vet as we do with him and his team.

Fantastic experience: I just absolutely love this place having come from another veterinarian in town who shall remain unnamed I have found this place to be a breath of fresh air. I bring both my cats there now. Dr. Zach and the girls at the front desk are absolutely top-notch. I called today because my cat had chewed on a leaf of a plant that was potentially poison. Yazzie took the information down and talked to Dr. Zach, and after we decided on the phone that he would not have to go to the vet and to keep an eye on him. They followed up later on in the day to make sure that he was still OK. they also gave me a number for an After Hours Emergency Vet. Absolutely above and beyond. I love taking my cats there. I also brought my other cat in because he had an eye problem and it was quickly fixed up by Dr. Zach. His bedside manner is second to none and I am extremely thankful that my cats have the privilege of going to this veterinarian clinic. I can’t say enough if they had 10 stars I would certainly give that To them

Fantastic experience: Dr Zac and his team are truly amazing and phenomenal…they are compassionate, competent and reasonable with prices. I have moved out of Waterdown and and considering to continue to use him as my vet even though I will have to drive 45 min to get there…it is worth it.

Fantastic experience: He is the best vet I have even seen. After taking my cat of 18 years old Tippy to emergency care in Guelph and high dollars spent without good outcome. I was told by people in the build to come see Dr Zack. He helped and guided me to make my buddy feel better. Today Tippy is doing much better. I felt welcomed with his great staff. Hight recommended

He made helpful recommendations about additional diagnostic tests, explained the benefits to the treatment and was not pushy for me to make a decision right away for next steps. His office was able to fit me in quickly for this appointment, they were organized with invoicing and scheduling of Jaspers next visit. Pricing was fair and clinic was clean with no wait time for our scheduled appointment. Fantastic experience: Went in for my first appointment today with both of our dogs, you could tell right away that the doctor really cares. He immediately recognized a medication dosing issue which other previous vets had missed. The staff were attentive and compassionate and the pricing was very reasonable. A very positive first experience.

Fantastic experience: Above and Beyond Care – A Vet I Fully Trust! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Zak and the entire team at Parkside Animal Hospital. I completely trust them with my pet’s care, and it’s clear they truly prioritize the well-being of their patients. Dr. Zak is incredibly thorough, compassionate, and takes the time to explain everything in detail, ensuring I always feel confident in the care my pet is receiving. One of the things I appreciate most is their honesty—there’s never any pressure for unnecessary tests or procedures, and their pricing is always fair. Plus, scheduling is a breeze! The longest I’ve ever had to wait for an appointment was just one day, which speaks volumes about their efficiency and dedication. A perfect example of their dedication happened on New Year’s Eve. My cat had her anal glands expressed on December 20th, but due to my paranoia, I was worried she might need them done again sooner than expected. Knowing the office would be closed for two days, I called on December 31st, and Dr. Zak went above and beyond. To ease my concerns, he did a full-body X-ray that same day, rushed the results even though the clinic was closing in a couple of hours, and then personally called me after hours—on New Year’s Eve—to go over everything. That’s true dedication, and it meant the world to me. If you're looking for a veterinarian who truly cares, goes the extra mile, and provides top-notch care without unnecessary upselling, I highly recommend Dr. Zak and Parkside Animal Hospital!

Fantastic experience: We are new patients to this clinic, having come to them during an emergency situation. We have been long time patient’s of Clappison’s Veterinarians and recently had an emergency situation with our dog. Even tho they were still open for 15 more min and we were only 5 min away, they refused to see us. I pleaded with them as our dog was in great distress and they told us to try Hamilton, Burlington, or Milton. All at least 30 min away and it was rush hour so it would have taken much longer. On a chance, we called Parkside Animal Hospital in Waterdown and without hesitation they said bring him in right away. They are efficient, professional and very compassionate. The vet had to leave a personal appointment and rush back, but he was there quickly and took care of our dog right away even tho we were not patients of his. We are now! The clinic is clean and bright with modern equipment and friendly efficient assistants. We are very grateful to the Dr and his assistant for saving our dog. They even carried him into the car for us. And the fee was much less than I expected, which rarely happens lol. The dr called the next morning to check on our dog, another indication of a great clinic. Fantastic experience: We have been going to Dr.Zak for a over a year now and we cannot thank him enough. He saved our puppy’s life. Our dog Max had parvo when he was just 13 weeks old and Dr.Zak was the only vet out of the 30 different vets I called in the area that found a way to search for a solution to our problem at the time. The other vets just said they could not help us, however Dr.Zak and his wife managed to find a way around it and save our dogs life, even if it meant helping us outside of the hospital in the parking lot in the middle of winter. He truly cares about animals and we have recommended him to anyone that is looking for a vet because he truly is the best. My boyfriend’s family now takes their dog Duke, a german shepherd mix, to Parkside Animal Hospital and have had nothing but positive things to say about Dr.Zak as well. Fantastic experience: From the very beginning, Dr. Zac has been nothing short of a miracle for us and our kitty Tipsy, especially during her battle with hyperthyroidism. Recently, Tipsy suffered a fainting spell / seizure late at night, and after taking her to the emergency vet at 2am - right away the next morning Dr. Zac was there and prompt action helped us navigate that terrifying emergency with confidence. Not only has he provide necessary medical attention at critical moments, but also gone above and beyond in so many other ways that I will never be able to thank him enough for. What stood out the most was when Tipsy struggled with a new medication and refused to eat for four days—a dangerous situation for her condition on a perscribed anti-biotic. Dr. Zac's went out of his way to check on her ASAP, finally managing to get her to eat again. It was an emotional rollercoaster for us, fearing the worst, but she is now recovering and already looking much better. I cannot express enough gratitude for Dr. Zac's outstanding professionalism, his genuinely caring approach, and his passion for his work. It's rare to find someone who not only excels in their field but also cares deeply about their patients. Dr. Zac is one of those rare people in veterinary medicine, and we are endlessly thankful for his care and expertise.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this place enough, Dr Zak and all his staff are wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Dr Zak and his vet team were all very gentle with my cat, he is typically a super nervous boy but could tell he was in good hands and just let them do what they needed to do. Dr Zak won’t tell you if any concern is too small or not even worth worrying about, he wants to make sure you are just as comfortable as your pet is with their care/healing process.

Fantastic experience: We have been going to Dr Zak for a couple years now and are soo happy with our experience. Our 2 Rotties(Kappo & Kylo) are not fans of the vet and not good doggie patients to say the least, and Dr Zak is always super patient and kind. Our past vet would just want to sedate the dogs and to give them their shots but Dr Zak let’s us go back with him and the vet tech and assist in calming our dogs while he does the exam and gives them their shots. We can’t thank Dr Zak enough for making the best of stressful situations.

Fantastic experience: I took my sick cat in because he had stopped eating and drinking. I thought I was going in to put him down. It was only a bad tongue infection! The team was so caring and compassionate. I highly recommend this vet! Thank you for saving my cat!

Negative experience: Do your homework. Worst vet experience I’ve ever had, do not bring your animal here! I got my dog neutered and his dew claws removed at parkside animal hospital. At the pre op I was satisfied with the vet and the price. I did however ignore a few red flags. 1 being they have no examination rooms, He talked to me in the waiting area and then took my dog to this back room and I couldn’t go with him. Second red flag was it was so empty ( no other patients) and they booked us in so soon ( when all other places had long waiting lists). Unfortunately, I ignored these red flags and went ahead based on the low cost. At the post op the vet was instantly very rude to me as he was not happy with how everything was healing. He accused me of taking the e collar off my dog and that my dog was licking and said it was my fault it all looks bad, it has nothing to do with his work. I told him that I hadn’t taken it off and he kept arguing with me. He has absolutely no bedside manners, he was talking to me in a condescending and inappropriate manner. He then proceeded to yell at his vet tech and also talk to her in a condescending way. Yelling at her for not being able to hold my 70 pound dog up, telling her to grip him harder and don’t let him squirm as he is yelping in pain. He then proceeded to put staples on his incision where his dew claws were removed since the first time he only put one stitch therefore they were not able to close and heal. I could hear my dog screaming from the pain and his receptionist was turning up the volume on the tv trying to drown out the cries of my dog. At the initial meeting he said it’s not about the money it’s about the animal, boy was he ever lying. He didn’t treat my dog with any sense of love or care. If you look at Zakis history, he has been jumping from place to place ( probably keeps getting fired) . Whatever you do, don’t bring your pets here! It’s not worth it to save a few bucks

Fantastic experience: As a first time dog owner, I was a little nervous about finding a good, affordable, and reliable vet but Parkside checks all of the boxes! Dr. Zak is so amazing and always makes sure he sits down with you to discuss what he’s doing during each appointment. I’ve never felt anything “pushed” on me, he just shares his knowledge and I trust him fully! Every time you walk through the door you’re greeted by a friendly face behind the desk as well! Fantastic experience: By far the best animal hospital I’ve ever been to! Dr. Zaki was extremely accommodating and kind when it came to all my concerns and my cat’s well being. You can tell he genuinely cares about you and your pet. He got me in the same day and had me call back the next day to update him whether good or bad. On top of that, his staff is great and the cost is very affordable. It has taken years to find a regular vet that I like and trust. I now understand why all the reviews are 5 stars. Parkside took us in right away(compared to the emergency vets an estimated 3+ hours of waiting with our dog in the car). Fantastic experience: Dr. Zak is absolutely amazing with my two dogs. My male Springer had an eye problem this week. Thankfully I was able to see Dr. Zak the same day. After a test, Dr. Zak made his diagnosis and prescribed specific eye drops for my dog's problem. The medication basically started working the same day. By the next day, the redness and swelling were gone. I am so thankful for Dr. Zak. My dogs demeaner went from miserable to happy in 24 hours. Jaxon (my dog) says - Thank you so much Dr. Zak - lets play tug of war!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about my experience here! I am from Hamilton and the first day I brought my puppy home he was having a reaction to his vaccine. Five hospitals in Hamilton turned me down. Dr. Zak waited for me to get to the clinic as he was closing for the evening and gave the BEST care to my puppy. I highly recommend this clinic!!

Fantastic experience: I volunteer for a charitable organization and work with may vets. Dr. Zaki really impressed me. He and his receptionist, Shawn, are always friendly, helpful and professional. He takes the time to listen and explains things thoroughly. He is caring for one of our foster dogs with special needs and follows up to make sure Freddie is doing okay. Plus his prices are reasonable. Even though he's not close by to me, I'll be bringing my own dog to him. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: I took my dog Charlie to Parkside Animal Hospital and he was so well cared for! Charlie has suffered with unknown bumps on his chin since the fall and the staff at Parkside Animal Hospital really took the time and effort to ensure they knew the exact cause before giving him any unnecessary medication. Fantastic experience: Dr. Zaki and his team were wonderful with my dog Charlie. At just 11 months old, Charlie's been through the ringer in terms of health problems. Dr. Zaki was very nice and receptive to my concerns. Didn't push for certain medications like I've experienced from other vets in the past. For him, it felt like he wants to do right by charlie and won't drag on testing like another vet wanted to prior to me changing vet clinics. I can appreciate doctors who truly want what's best for their patients and not their own wallets.
