Fantastic experience: Amelia Vickers has magical hands; best massage I've ever had.

Fantastic experience: I would give more stars if I could. I am visiting from out of province. I arrived in pain and struggling to walk or lift my leg. Right from the first phone call, I was taken care of. After a couple of massages with Joette and a chiropractic treatment with Dr Mary, I am able to move my leg and my pain is reduced. I want to take them back to NS with me. Thank you for all of your care. Forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to PIH for about two years now, and I plan to be a lifelong client! The range of offered services rooted in Eastern and Western medicine is expansive, which makes it easy to have your needs met and allows for practitioner collaboration. I have yet to work with a service provider who isn't amazing. The attention to detail in the setting also really helps set this clinic above others! Such a relaxing space. I also highly recommend their physiotherapy and chiro clinic that is a few doors down (Synapse).

Positive experience: Hot and cold relationship with Park Integrative. Facility is nice with some great practitioners, but it is clear with the expansion to Synapse and renovations, they are passing on the cost to clients with above average rates for all Allied Health Professionals. There were some early billing issues that were resolved, but the suggestion with the resolution is they are more concerned with their social media reputation than client relations (e.g. once resolved the first ask was to take down the social media reply). The kicker for me, I was aligned with a family doctor there who had recently dissolved his practice. As is the horrendous track record with Park Integrative admin, staff had failed to successfully notify all patients (which they claim was completed via email and mail), including myself now left in limbo.

I've been treated at the Sherwood Park location by Alley, Ashley & Tia and all three are very knowledgeable, very professional fantastic therapists!! They all are helping me a lot and I have very high respect for their practice!!! Location is modern, beautiful, clean and very welcoming!! Fantastic experience: Jennifer is like no acupuncturist I have ever been to before. If you would have told me a year ago, that I would be looking forward to being someones pin cushion; ya right!! Even on my worst days, I make sure to do my best to get to my appointments. As I KNOW this is when I need her most and I WILL feel better vs might. Jennifer doesn’t rush me through. We have a genuine conversation on how I felt after last session and what we need to focus on this week. Then, when she “hits the spot” ; she doesn’t mind when I ask questions as to what that area that was. Surprise !! It was an area of concern I had expressed earlier on. I hope that this can be figured out so we can get back to being active patients with them, as we love this clinic so much. Original review: I had been searching and waiting for years to find a family doctor at PIH. When I got on with PIH last year, I was beyond ecstatic. I finally felt heard, seen, safe, and excited about my health. I was an huge advocate for their clinic. Unfortunately, with no notice, I received an email communication that my doctor had left the clinic and PIH would be doing nothing to support me as their patient. They linked the Alberta Find a Doctor webpage in their email, noted it was not easy to find a family doctor, and that we would not be added to any sort of a waitlist for an existing or upcoming family doctor despite the circumstance, as they “don’t do that”. I understand that a doctor leaving is out of their control, but there is no excuse for the way PIH is washing their hands of my health. I’ve never felt more uncared for as a medical patient in my life. Their core values of “integrity, empathy, patient-centered, and collaboration” were completely thrown out the window. I am hurt, shocked, and truly don’t know where to go from here.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Jen enough, when I have issues with mobility, tightness or pain. She treats my areas of concern and I walk out of our appointments knowing I’ve made progress on the area or in relief or both. I loved the addition of the heat lamp in our appointments. I was so relaxed during, I fell asleep.

Fantastic experience: I have never had a bad experience here. The wait times to see my doctor are pretty good. The staff are friendly and able to answer any questions. I will happily make the drive out here to see Dr. Hetland, you don't get much better care from a doctor then her. Only downside is sometimes you wait on hold for a long period of time, sometimes you don't. Overall a great clinic and a great doctors.

He is the family physician we've long awaited – his dedication and attention to our health, especially our 2-year-old son's, have been remarkable. Now, thanks to Dr. Sharon's engaging approach, our son not only laughs during appointments but feels included in the tools and steps involved in the process. Fantastic experience: Had my knee replaced a few months ago. My muscles were very stiff in my back and legs. Had a hard time getting relief. Synthia knew exactly what muscles to work on. I had a great deal of relief after a great massage. Will definitely go back as needed.

Negative experience: I went for a Massage for severe lower back pain, even for a short 45 minute appointment I left with not only no relief but more tension then when I arrived. I wanted a massage, as I booked for when I arrived I was offered Cranial sacral therapy to which I replied “I’d prefer Massage, but I’ll trust your recommendation.” During the course of this “treatment” I made it clear I did not feel anything and was very sore still. Perhaps with more time this type of treatment would be effective, but for only a 45 minute window and a hope for ANY relief I would have preferred just massage as I requested on the form, to have a brief duration of massage then attempt this treatment didn’t meet of the needs required when I entered. During this further the studio was noisy, and there was buzzing through the walls from something very loud and repetitive. My entire back to neck was very stiff and I was very uncomfortable, and when trying to relax at all of my responses to any of the questions I was receiving about the treatment was “I am not feeling anything.” Or “I don’t know.” I feel like what I came for was simple, to relax my back but between the environment and the lack lustre treatment I don’t think I’ll ever go back. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this had to be the biggest waste of time and money I had ever experienced, truly disappointed to go into a clinic and feel worse leaving.

Fantastic experience: I have seen many different massage therapists over the course of my lifetime for both sports related aches/injuries as well as general stress and well-being, but Lydia is by far the best therapist I've had. From her professional ballet background she has a deep understanding of the human body and the type of massage each area requires in order to move in the best way possible. I was particularly impressed with the RAPID technique she used on my neck. I have never experienced that much relief in my neck before! Highly recommend Lydia.

Fantastic experience: Tyla always does a great job assessing what the issue is and giving you a massage that meets your needs. I usually get cupping done and have had fantastic results but today I tried orthopedic massage and she helped me address some range of motion issues and a nagging injury that has been bothering my right shoulder. Definitely would recommend her especially to someone who is wanting sports related massage therapy or needing to work on range of motion.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful space. Clean. Great atmosphere. Friendly front desk staff at every visit. Now, the cherry on top: Sadie Dawn Friesen. I was at the end of my rope with nerve pain in my back and shoulder. I was stuck on nerve pain medication which I really didn’t want to be on. I tried 3 other treatments elsewhere with no success and some even making it worse. I cried while explaining my issues out of frustration and exhaustion. Not only was she an empathetic listener, but she assured me it was okay and that it was a safe place to do so. I went to her for a cranial sacral massage, and for the first time in months when the session was over, I was overwhelmed by emotions by this feeling of complete relaxation and my entire body felt like jello. It was the first time in months I didn’t feel pain. Not only did she get me off the pain medication completely after just two or three sessions, but I have even seen improvement in the mild curve in my spine at the nape of my neck which has been a wonderful surprise. My pain has been completely resolved, and I’m now going monthly just because nothing feels better than your body and mind post cranial sacral treatment. I also saw her for a myofascial release massage, and again, just pure heaven. Cranial is not a commonly known treatment, but it is phenomenal and Sadie is just genuinely amazing at what she does. The entire atmosphere of the session; dark room, fully clothed, relaxing music, and Sadie’s comforting and caring disposition is the perfect recipe for the best 60-75 minutes of your day, week, or month. It’s astounding what your body can do with a little help, and she gently walks you through the process the entire way. I just honestly can’t recommend her enough, and I’m so grateful she is at Park Integrated Health!

Positive experience: I have been going to Park Integrative Health for a number of years now. I go to Sam Frizzell for massage therapy. She is outstanding! I would give her a 5/5. She listens and gives you so much great information that helps tremendously. However, recently the price of massage therapy has jumped up by 22%. I understand that prices are going up everywhere but a 22% jump seems unreasonable. Most places will increase by $5 or $10 but to increase by $20, I do not understand. Park Integrative Health, you have just made your massage services out of my reach. I love Sam and will probably come back to see her, but not nearly as frequently as I have in the past.

The lobby/waiting area is very bright, spacious, and open - great seating for anyone experiencing mobility issues. There are large washroom stalls, and water stations throughout the offices. Negative experience: Although it’s an exciting concept to have a holistic and integrative medical clinic, that’s only in concept and not in practice. Medical practitioners are still not interested in working in a partnership with the holistic practitioners, which was disappointing with my pregnancy. The belittling of some of the holistic practices was quite shocking. Although I still have a doctor at this clinic, I am on the search for a truly integrative clinic.
