Expérience fantastique: I never write reviews but feel compelled to add this one. I went to see Dr. Polo on encouragement from my wife and a friend who have had great success here. My journey started with being accountable to myself, being open and honest with Dr. Polo, and willingness to share my issues with her. The first step to be accountable and honest was the hardest, the program itself ended up being easier for me than I could have imagined. In our second appointment, I spilled everything about my life, substance abuse, gluttony, etc. Dr. Polo never once judged me with anything I shared, she instead encouraged me, took the time to sit and talk to me. She helped me understand that it was ok, I was moving past the abuse I caused myself over the years and starting a new and healthy chapter in my life. She said something to me in that second appointment that will stay with me forever, helped me change my life and how I have lived each day since. "men say they will die for their family, why not try living for them". I went to see Dr. Polo for a weight loss program, she gave me so much more and I could not be more thankful. Expérience négative: Dr. Kelsey Murray (SIBO specialist) initially helped me get rid of some of my SIBO symptoms (bloating, belching mainly) through prescribing antimicrobials and NAC. However, she had no explanation for why after the treatment I was suddenly getting eczema, angular cheilitis on my lips, and recommended I take some 'Vitamin D.' All of this showed a clear lack of expertise in preventing nutrient deficiencies during the treatment process. I may have not even had SIBO but leaky gut perhaps for instance. These naturopaths don't know what they are treating and you are sort of their rag doll unfortunately. And some months later, I ended up developing histamine intolerance too and being unable to breathe after certain foods. The truth of the matter is MOST if not all naturopaths and nutritionists use a "Kill all" approach before understanding what is ACTUALLY the root cause of symptoms. Do yourself a favor and either work with a functional medicine doctor based in the US (a lot cheaper than Canada) and sign up for DNRS or Reorigin to actually heal your body's limbic system as that is the main thing that worked for me. 90% of my symptoms went away through Brain re-training. To stop seeing my symptoms as something threatening. Modern medicine is a scam. Hope this helps someone who is suffering.

We were assured of an appointment verbally and confirmed with the doctor that it was ok even if it was a double booking. but on the day of the appointment, was told that that we do not have an appointment and cannot accommodate us for the morning appointment anymore. The receptionist said that Dr Jamieson can only accomodate us in the afternoon which, does not work. The image of the clinic and doctor is being affected due to some incompetent staff. Lesson learned... do not trust any verbal agreement. Always ask for something in black and white.

Expérience négative: Wife & I had a two hour time slot for initial consultation for 9:30 am. I called around 9:00 to advise we are running late due to caring for our 1 year old and we can be there at about 10:00am. I was told we would be charged a cancellation fee if I showed up that late however they can take the consultation over the phone. I called in at 9:30 again and was told the doctor would call me and that he just stepped in. At 9:50 I get a call saying he did not come to the office and we have to reschedule. A resonable person who knew they have a 9:30am meeting should have informed their staff if they are running late the same way as I had informed them. Our time is also valuable and setting aside two hours of your work day is not an easy task especially being a small business owner.They really expected me to reschedule after threatening me with a cancellation fee but for the naturalpath its ok to leave us hanging?...so yes I gave this review not because of a scheduling conflict (whatever that means) but rather because of how the incident was handled and the overall experience.

Expérience négative: I did the HCG diet and was prescribed hcg in syringes. After I logging into my pharmacare Medication history all I see billed were saline syringes. All my other medications show up there, why not the HCG? They lied and sold an expensive placebo that didn't work. I was told that I would not experience hunger. I was extremely hungry and was not able to sustain the diet.

My main concern was what appeared and felt like an infection on my eyelid, which was ultimately untreated by infectious disease specialists who couldn't figure out what was going on. I had been suffering with this for approximately 9 months. Dr. Aberdeen was the first person who figured out what was happening and actually cured it. Four days later, the infection on my eye resolved and I couldn't be more grateful. I had woken up with a lesion on my upper eyelid that felt like a cold sore on a weekly basis. I also had eczema around my mouth and on my scalp, which is now 90% gone. Dr. Aberdeen is professional, considerate, actually listens to his patients, and is exceptional at finding the root cause of your concerns and treating them through not only naturopathic modalities but also by addressing your diet and lifestyle. Unlike my family doctor, Dr. Murray spends ample time with me discussing my symptoms and swimming upstream to find the root cause. Expérience négative: If I could give this centre zero stars, I would. After only one visit, I paid almost $1,000 in tests/labs... that was four months ago. I NEVER received word from them about my results nor a status update. I was ghosted; I had to follow up twice. This last time (month 4), they finally contacted the testing cenre to discover that they had nothing to process. Are you kidding me! They then had the nerve to seem annoyed that I was frustrated and wanted my money back, ignoring the request a couple of times. The WORST customer experience I have ever had with a wellness centre in my life. Update: wow. The only emails I received were responding to MY emails asking for updates. No mention of any actions to do on my end. They told me yesterday that they only tried calling me once and left no voicemail… the doctor also female shamed me by saying “I’m sorry you’re so upset.” I was very rational and was simply asking for my money back because I did want to be a client. Being direct with my needs doesn’t make me “emotional.” Shady behaviours trying to justify my poor experience. Shame. Just own it.

Expérience négative: I visited this clinic to see Dr. Blyth for some advice about TRT. I was met with a Lion King story and a printed out sheet of nutrition facts. I think it would be wiser to do your own research about the technical details of TRT before spending $300 to hear a jungle book story and no relevant info about TRT. I felt like he didn't have time to address my question and only wanted to use the time we had for his poorly rehearsed spiel for new-comers.

I was impressed enough with Dr Eberding and the clinic generally to seek treatments for myself. Countless hospital + doctors + specialist visits and doing numerous tests is how I spent the majority of those three years. My symptoms only got worse and I was never given any answers. I had lost all hope and even got to a point where I wanted to give up, I couldn't imagine living the rest of my life like this. I felt like a failure as a mother and a wife. I'm so thankful my husband pushed me to see a naturopath, I was just to sick of seeing doctors to the point I would get bad anxiety and get physically sick. Dr Mawji listened to everything I had to say dating back to 10 years when I had traumatic pregnancies, she asked lots of questions and in one visit she acknowledged all of my symptoms, she blew me away with all her knowledge. She was able to properly diagnose me after running the right tests, she was surprised that I was even standing at that point to put into perspective how I was feeling. She put me on a treatment plan and I am already feeling so much better after a few months. I feel like she gave me my life back. It isn't always easy and some days are tough, but I'm getting there with her guidance. I also took my two kids to see her and they absolutely adore her. She has helped them with their symptoms and listens to their concerns or questions and explains things in a way they understand. I refer everyone to her because I know she can make a positive impact on their lives. I am proof of that and am forever grateful she entered my life.

Expérience négative: I am updating my original review, which was based on when I came in for my appointment but it was somehow not scheduled in their system, though I clearly booked the appointment over the phone. These things should simply not happen, and if they do happen, more effort should be made to correct the situation. "Glitchy technology" is a terrible excuse to give a customer who made an effort to travel a distance only to be turned away. Then to credit only the parking I paid for... it's honestly a bit insulting. I don't care about $3 for parking, I care about my time and effort to get into the clinic. How about a free consultation? Also, your response doesn't show a proactive mindset. If there are glitches sometimes, what have you done to address the problem? What will you change to avoid this in the future? It should be as easy as getting software to confirm your appointment, ideally sending a meeting request via email or text so that it can go into the clients calendar, then telling your client that they'll be getting that meeting request / confirmation. Many places I go to schedule appointments already do this, and it's automatic. Finally, it would be nice if your apology was an actual apology. You could have simply said "we screwed up" and apologized, and I would accept that. We all make mistakes. Expérience fantastique: Dr. Mawji is amazing! I feel so grateful for her and her ability to find out the root cause of my symptoms. From the time I walked in the door I felt that all my concerns were finally heard. She makes sure to explain everything to me so that I understand and I’m always so excited to share with my family all the . The initial appointment is an hour long and it gives you the ability to talk about everything going on and not feel like your just going to be given a pill and pushed out the door. I have suffered from chronic fatigue and have never been taken seriously. Every time I go in Dr. Mawji addresses every concern and takes them seriously. I have also been dealing with concerns with my skin and it was something I thought I just had to live with. It wasn’t what I originally came in to talk about. When I brought it up, Dr. Mawji assured me that this wasn’t just my new normal and that all my symptoms are related and can be treated. I had had a concussion and a bad neck injury and was struggling with anxiety and sleep issues from way before my injury as well as some gut issues. My body was completely unaligned. I had seen multiple doctors, specialists and several alternative practitioners, some progress was made but I had a long way to go. Dr Mawji really took the time to go over everything with me and over the last year we did an IV, an adrenal test and a food sensitivity test as well as consultations and the results were astonishing. She really cared and took the time to find the root of my health concerns and asked questions that other doctors had just bypassed . Expérience fantastique: Started seeing Dr Mawji in Jan 2020 when conventional medicine was not helping with my migraines. Migraines have reduced by 75% and she has helped reduce or eradicate heartburn and other chronic conditions. Very knowledgeable and compassionate and eager to work with my other Healthcare professionals and family doctor to work towards reaching my optimal health.

Expérience négative: BE AWARE: the supplements they sell in the clinic can be found in regular stores for 1/4 of the price they charge at Polo Health. The doctor visit is also highly over-priced compared to other naturopaths in the area. I personally was duped into spending $250 there (on top of the $150 that were covered by my insurance), and I can't even use any of the stuff I got, cause it made me sicker than I ever felt before. I find it very suspicious that all the medicine and treatments that were recommended by the doctor were only ones that are offered on-site. That makes me question the credibility of the medical advice and the hidden agenda the doctor might have

Within minutes of first meeting me she had accurately pin-pointed several health issues (that I verified through testing as well) and with her help I really got my life and health back. Anything I say will be an understatement as to how much she helped me. Now that I have a baby and toddler her office has transferred me to Dr. Gansner. My experience with her so far has also been very positive! I also love that the clinic will work (or try to work) with your GP to ensure your overall health care.
