Expérience fantastique: Working with Dr. Natalie has been a life-changing experience. I have seen many naturopaths in the last decade and finally, with Dr. Natalie, I am seeing real results. About 85% of my symptoms have cleared up and I am already seeing real results combating the remaining 15%. With the tests she ordered I found out the root of my issues and she worked really hard to try and get me the medication I needed which wasn't available in Canada. When we couldn't get it she found an alternative option which worked! She did much of this work and the communication surrounding this process outside of a scheduled appointment time so I wasnt paying crazy amounts for this approach which I really appreciated. I really appreciated her approach that is a combination of science/medication and lifestyle/holistic health. She really takes the time to answer any questions you may have and gives you a super thorough treatment plan. I have recommended Dr. Natalie to many friends and will continue too!

Expérience fantastique: I was experiencing digestive issues and found Aumakua online. I was treated by Dr. Amber and after getting lab results she went over the report with me in detail. She suggested supplements for me to take as well as routines and food which I should watch out for. She then referred me to Brittany who further reviewed my daily food intake and things which I can improve on. I started the habit of making nutritious smoothies for breakfast instead of skipping breakfast and adding more veggies in my diet. Expérience fantastique: I had an excellent experience with the naturopathic doctor at Aumakua Clinic. I was referred to Dr Sereda and my first appointment was detailed and addressed my issues concisely. I continued with the testing which was a simple mail in process and then had a follow up appointment that gave me an in depth plan of treatment. Overall the care was excellent and I would highly recommend them for naturopathic treatment.

Expérience négative: I feel very scammed by the place. My partner went to this place with a serious health issue they said they would be able to help with. We spent close to $600 on the first session alone. They made my partner purchase a couple testing products they said my partner would need to take. After double checking a few days later with the naturopath if one of the products was safe to take with my partners health issue, the naturopath told us on second thought, no, not to take the product after all because it might conflict with their health issue. No refund was offered to us for the testing product my partner was sold and then told it was unsafe for my partner to use. We were instead told perhaps in the future if my partners health improved it might be possible to use the product they sold us. When we later emailed to follow up about this, we were just ignored. The product we were sold was close to a $100, was sealed and unused, we eventually had to just throw it away. They basically provided us with little to no follow up regarding the other test product my partner was allowed to take. For my partner’s second appointment, which was also their last session, my partner saw a different naturopath at this clinic because the first naturopath went on leave. My partner was told the new naturopath would be informed with every detail of their initial appointment. Unfortunately, the new naturopath was completely uninformed of the initial session and we spent the second session reproviding the information given during the first session. We were charged for this second session, which was just a waste of everyone’s time. The new naturopath had no understanding at all of my partners health issue. We specifically picked the initial naturopath based on what we read on her. We put our trust in her and we are very disappointed in this clinic. After the second session, we consulted my partners specialist and he suggested we discontinue seeing this naturopath.

We had seen a litany of specialists and MD's who had not been able to help resolve issues such as sever eczema, allergic shiners, mood/behavioural issues I suspected were associated with allergies or sensitivities. I live in Germany so only could get one appointment with her whilst on a business trip to Vancouver a few months ago, but it was the absolute best decision I've ever made for my health. She not only helped me solve the mystery as to why my testosterone had dropped but came up with a regiment that in a 3 month window brought about a 55% increase in my total testosterone levels. With this 55% increase in testosterone in the same three months without any changes to my diet or my usual gym routine I lost 11 pounds of fat and added on 9 pounds of muscle. I have also seen a noticeable change for the better in my memory recall which had become an issue and what originally brought me to her office. Mind in body in one visit who could ask for more? Now she is has come up with a strategy to help my growth hormone levels which are also rock bottom. Look forward to seeing the changes in the coming months. Expérience fantastique: I must say that I was hesitate before I went to see a Natural Path doctor. I have menstruation irregularity, low energy, over-weight and stress issues. And I have tried Chinese medicine and birth control pills for my menstruation irregularity problem, and they didn't work or made it even worse. Dr. Jordon Atkinson has listened to my problems, and prescribed proper remedies for my concerns, and it worked!!!! I have been taking the remedies for 3 months now, and I have gotten 3 regular cycles of period. Expérience négative: I couldn't experience the services at Aumakua since I had to cancel my very first appointment about 18 hours before the appointment. I am aware of the 24 hour policy but they could have been more understanding since I had to deal with a personal emergency during the appointment time. Even though I explained the situation to them, they still went ahead and charged me with full price. If you think you may have an emergency to deal within 24 hr of your appointment, you should know that there is no mercy at this clinic. I wish I could try it out but they definitely lost a client with their strict policy.

Expérience fantastique: I started seeing Dr. Jordan for Adrenal Fatigue. I was exhausted! I was having a hard time doing anything in the evenings, and on top of that, I was getting lots of migraines. I have been very impressed with his service. Right from the thorough testing at the start, the visit with the nutritionist, and determining exactly what type of treatment to do for me. It has been 3 months and I have really come a long way. I am feeling SO much better. I've been taking supplements that are really helping build my adrenals up and I've learned some great tips to bring down stress levels, improve sleep, and improve my overall health. She is warm and kind, she will put you at ease if you're scared of needles (you don't even feel them!), she is communicative and clear. I used to have serious back and neck problems that no western doctor could do anything about, without painkillers and muscle relaxants. Now it's completely controlled by acupuncture and cupping, without even Advil. Life changer! I also deal with day-to-day anxiety, we deal with that too. I highly recommend you to come and see Dr Dominique for any and all issues.

I perpetually struggled with blocked sinuses and my sinuses would get blocked at the drop of a hat making life quite difficult. All together I felt it was necessary to work on the root cause and not just treat the symptoms with steroids or antihistamines. I was referred to Dr. Amber Sereda and she was wonderful. Expérience fantastique: I had the pleasure of visiting Dr.Atkinson a few days ago. I have a painful and immoveable right shoulder, which has side-lined me from work and generally, from having any fun. Dr. Atkinson made a thorough examination of my Range of Motion, pain tolerance and a few other diagnostic tests. His diagnosis was thorough, without me having to go through a litany of history, pain issues, etc. He seemed to have gleaned a sense of my misery without my having to say more than a few words! Dr. Jordon moved quickly to unravel the key issues associated with my shoulder pain, including factors that I had not considered. For example, we chatted about diet, medications, depression, positive strartegies for returning to normal health and possibly returning to work! Prior to seeing him, I thought that my life was imploding but, after leaving the clinic, I felt unusually invigorated. He applied a few injections in key areas around the shoulder and I left feeling like I had some space around my scapula, after several months of keeping it protected. Expérience fantastique: To say Dr. Natalie Groenewood gave me my life back is not an exaggeration. I had severe concussive symptoms after an auto accident 8 years ago. Some symptoms improved but many did not. I suffered from debilitating fatigue and cognitive issues such as loss of long and short term memory, word recall, confusion, migraine-like headaches due to auditory & visual stimulation, etc. My primary care physician and specialists I saw after the auto accident dismissed my concerns about a traumatic brain injury. I began seeing Dr. Groenewood June of 2015 when I read about the adrenal IV therapy she offered. I instinctively knew my adrenal glands were not functioning, Dr. Groenewood confirmed this. I responded beautifully from once weekly adrenal IV's. At first I could simply entertain the thought of doing activities again. The weight I had gained from being so fatigued and sedentary began to melt off. I lost 26 pounds in 3 months. By month four I was exercising again, spin & dance classes. I went from completely sedentary and merely surviving to thriving! I shared with Dr. Groenewood my head injury history and cognitive issues. She immediately ordered a TBI (traumatic brain injury) profile test. It came back overwhelmingly positive. I cried in relief to finally be diagnosed. I had been trying to survive with a serious permanent injury to my pituitary gland at the base of the brain for 8 years!!! All my hormones were exceedingly low. I am now receiving hormone therapy and my cognitive issues are slowly but steadily improving. Dr. Groenewood was the only doctor out of maybe 10 who really listened to me and took my problems seriously. I wish I had seen her much sooner but I am ever so happy we finally did meet. I highly recommend her to anyone suffering with a known/suspected TBI or adrenal fatigue. There are options and treatments out there even when everyone else tells you otherwise. Expérience fantastique: What can I say? Dr. Jordan Atkinson is not only a great naturopathic doctor but also a magician! With a concoction of natural supplements and potions, a strict diet, and a little time, he made my extremely uncomfortable eczema disappear! I remember lying in bed one night at 2:00 in the morning in utter agony with ice packs all over my body and crying, wanting to rip my flesh off and thinking that there had to be a better way to treat this. I knew there weren’t any cures for eczema and I didn’t want to be prescribed steroids, which only act as temporary bandaids and not as real long-term solutions. I knew that I had to do something about it since doctors didn’t seem to be able to. And that’s when I decided to try something different and go the natural route. Dr. Jordan took the time to go over my entire medical history, asking questions, and listening to what I had to say. Every subsequent visit after that was the same; with him always listening, asking questions, and providing explanations, suggestions, and tips, not only for my main issue, but also for my overall health. He has a gentle, easy-going manner that immediately puts you at ease. He’s very knowledgeable, thorough, and detail-oriented, and it’s very evident that he’s passionate about what he does and sincerely cares about his patients and their well-being. Every visit was pleasant and a learning experience—so refreshing compared to going to a traditional medical doctor. It was also very encouraging to see and feel results over time. I would highly recommend him if you are considering using a naturopath. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain!

Expérience fantastique: I came to see Dr. Grace and Jessica Budgell a few months ago while suffering with a bunch of problems including severe hives, stress, fatigue, insomnia, bloating, aches and pains. They were able to diagnose my symptoms and provided me with actual solutions that I could start right away (unlike the walk in clinics which always put a bandaid over my problems). Expérience fantastique: I began seeing Dr. Atkinson for back and neck issues I've experienced for a decade. The prolotherapy and neural therapy were fantastic. I felt relief the same day and throughout the week. After a few sessions I noticed my discomfort minimize dramatically. Dr. Atkinson was also very thorough and I highly recommend him.

Expérience fantastique: For years I suffered from sinus infections and recurring fatigue or colds that made it very difficult maintain a regular workout schedule of 3-4 days a week, much less my old routine of 6 workouts a week. (I also have hypothyroidism which is in maintenance mode, but can complicate energy levels). I’d been to western doctors to address the sinus and fatigue issues, but nothing ever turned up. I was beginning to feel like this was just the normal flow of life and was hesitant to book an appointment at the Amuakua Clinic since doctors could never find an issue. However, I am SO glad I did! Dr. Groenewoud was quick to recognize the symptoms I was experiencing and treated me accordingly. Expérience fantastique: I first met Dr. Groenewoud in February 2012. I was looking for a better way of dealing with my arthritis. I have been suffering from this disease since before I was diagnose at 13. I was convinced that the methotrexate I had been taking orally and injecting was causing me other problems. At this time my digestive tract felt rotten from top to bottom and I had inflammation in joints and intestines. My Dr.s were very willing to treat me with disease modifying drugs, acid pump inhibitors, pain killers, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, stool stiffeners... Dr.G. took a history, blood work for food sensitivities, (I eliminated foods I was sensitive to) prescribed organ cleansing & supports, and a few other supplements. I consulted with the Nutritionist and went back home, 550 kms away. Taking charge of my health, I followed ALL the recommendations very religiously. Six weeks later I attended a follow up appointment. I was no longer taking methotrexate and was without pain and had very little joint inflammation left. Many of my symptoms had improved but I was still far from well. Dr. G. was then able to diagnose other areas of my systems that needed support. I went back home and was again diligent with any recommendations that were made. At this time I was about 15 lbs overweight. That weight left me, as did any extra weight I had. I began to feel too thin. This was reinforced by family and friends. Following up with Dr.G., she again made suggested changes to my diet and supplements. I put weight back on and reached my ideal weight, which I easily maintain today. It was like I had to totally clean out before I could rebuild and gain more ground with my health. Over the next couple of years I continued to get compliment form old friends and acquaintances about how good and young I was looking. Expérience fantastique: Love this clinic, I've not only seen Dr. Groenewoud, whom I think is a fantastic Naturopath.....uses a real hands on approach and is very down to earth, but also have seen Dr. Atkinson for Vitamin B12 shot and immune booster, as well as Jessica Budgell for nutritional guidance in the Thrive Program and last, but most certainty not least, have met with Jamie Sullivan for a complimentary session of hypnotherapy!
