Fantastic experience: I have been going to Mike Grewal RMT at Royal City Massage Therapy for at least six years now. I am on a regular maintenance schedule and have an appointment booked monthly. Mikey provides premiere massage therapy service and I highly recommend the services provided by this clinic. Mikey focuses on my lower back, shoulders and neck and hips and legs - I have so many painful areas arising from my desk job and sitting too many hours hunched in front my computer. He goes beyond massage treatment by suggesting other exercises and stretches that I can work on myself to improve my condition. Unfortunately I am not as dedicated to doing the work as Mike is! I’ll get there! I also want to recognize the friendly and professional staff at the front desk. They always acknowledge me by name when I walk in the door. They are efficient in submitting my group health claim form to my insurance carrier and all the paperwork is taken care of for me. The clinic is well-located in the Royal City Mall, with parking available. The premises are clean and inviting. I would, and have, highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Jeanie RMT for 5 years now. I originally came to the practice after being referred by another professional post-stroke. Jeanie’s expertise, professionalism and gentle approach has helped my body move out of a disregulated state and challenge my capacity. Through her commitment and my consistency- my quality of life has greatly improved. I love the welcoming and warm vibes from the front reception staff and the overall professionalism of the staff!!

Fantastic experience: This place has the best staff all around. Starting from warm and thoughtful hospitality from Vinny, Sheena as you enter, all the way to the RMT or Physiotherapist you go to. Davina is the best RMT person I have worked with, she is not only very knowledgeable and experienced, she would explain you the connection between pain and trouble between different parts of ur body, and how to better take care. She really is a true healer and I am grateful for her. For physiotherapy, I go to Mandeep and he is amazing in his work. He not only supports you to get better, he practically tells you in his no nonsense way that your healing needs a holistic approach. That along with physiotherapy we need to focus on stretching, exercise, food, stress management - and even hold you accountable for it! Which I do at times miss out on, but I'm glad he still is kind when reminding you about it. I would always, and do recommend my friends to go here when they need the support. Fantastic experience: Davina and Rebekah are my go to massage therapist @ RCH. Davina is fantastic massage therapist when it comes to listening to your complaints, and she will immediately know where to focus more, and where to be gentle. She also focus on the root of the problem, taking that extra step gives a feeling of "being taken care of". Rebekah is excellent on hitting the pain spots, she is highly knowledgeable. Her techniques are amazing, and I highly recommend her if looking for deep tissue massage. When it comes to physio, Mandeep is great with his dry needling and shockwave treatments.

Fantastic experience: What can I say about Mandeep/physiotherapist. He is always there when you need him. His skills are amazing. He has done dry needling on me many times. He has always been able to decrease the numbness and able to activate my muscles. When I have treatment, I always feel great and have more mobility in my neck and wrist. He is very qualified, has great customer service, and is very professional. Mostly, he is always smiling. The receptionist in the front is by far the best team you will ever see. Fantastic experience: During my 80+ year lifespan, I have been to several physiotherapy clinics for various osteoarthritic related ailments. Royal City Health and Manual Therapy is the second clinic I have tried since moving to New Westminster 5 years ago. The first clinic was not at all helpful. Thankfully, a friend suggested I see Pramod Johar at Royal City Health and Manual Therapy and I am so very glad she did! Pramod impressed immediately with his quiet, considered - and obviously very knowledgeable, manner. Since February 2021, I have seen Pramod for relief from hip, knee and - since January of this year - foot pain. He is now stuck with me because I do not want to be treated by anyone else. Pramod uses a variety of treatments/procedures, including exercises, nerve stimulation, massage, dry needling and - for the foot - shockwave therapy. Though I might hobble up to my foot appointments, I almost feel a spring in my step once my treatments are over and my foot feels so much better. My GP has been impressed, too, with how beneficial Pramod's treatments have been for me. I have recommended Pramod to several friends and they have also been greatly impressed with him as well as with their treatments. (They are not comfortable with doing reviews, but have asked me to add their voices.) Fantastic experience: I've been going to Royal City manual therapy in the Royal City Center for the last three and a half years. I have been seeing Davina for massage therapy since I started going there and she is just amazing, honestly I don't think I would be where I'm at right now if it wasn't for her. She is so helpful and informs Me of anything that she notices different or that's concerning to her with my treatment. Chi is always sensitive to my needs and very friendly and willing to help in any way that she can. She's been an amazing support for me over the last three and a half years and honestly I don't know what I would do without her or the amazing team at Royal City manual therapy. I have seen other therapist there as well including Victor for acupuncture treatment he is also a great therapist very kind and patient and friendly and also lets me know his concerns and really helps me. Ive seen pramod too for some physio treatment and so did my mother after her workplace injury a few years ago and he is also very friendly very professional very patient and kind and another one of their amazing therapists there. But I cannot forget about the amazing stuff that they have and receptionist everybody there deserves an award they are all friendly patient outgoing and the customer service is amazing. She has a great flow, just the right amount of pressure, finds the issues in all areas of my body instantly and is the only massage therapist I would recommend to get a head massage from. It actually opens my sinus airways and relaxes my whole body. But most importantly she doesn't pull my hair!!!! I’ve been seeing Nick for almost a year now and he is an outstanding therapist and very knowledgeable in his field, with a broad range of techniques that are impressive. His recommended treatment of Physiotherapy and Active Rehab has helped improve my mobility and assisted with my pain management. He’s always professional, very understanding, patient, friendly and caring and always makes me feel better. I will highly recommend him to others that have injuries and are in need of treatment. I’d also like to acknowledge that the safety protocols in place for COVID go above and beyond the recommended requirements and I feel safe and protected always at the clinic. Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff, the reminder options are great (i prefer emails). I like them following up on me, compared to other clinics that doesn't care. The reception area is clean, bright and welcoming, I like that they always have fresh flowers to stare on while waiting. My RMTs and PT are very professional. Ernesto is like the human "dry needle", he knows exactly where the pain points are, he is very knowledgeable and educates me how to manage my neck and back pains. Davina is like healer of pains though it's hard to book her, she's always fully booked. Promod makes sure I am comfortable, and encourage me to do home exercise and he tracks my progress. The clinic is in great location also. Parking will never be a problem and you can browse on shops after relaxation.

Fantastic experience: Been getting treatments here since 2018. I haven't had a single negative experience. Jeanie and Victor have been amazing and I am so thankful for their work. They have set great safety guidelines and ALWAYS are checking temperatures to insure the safety of their clients. I am a healthcare worker and I haven't been refused treatment at this clinic. This clinic works with a lot of senior clients and it is understandable for them to refuse service for people like me if we happen to work in COVID19 ICU wards or the ER.

Fantastic experience: I have been a client here initially for MVA related injuries and received excellent treatment all around. My therapists have been considerate, courteous, patient, professional and clear in terms of why certain types of treatment were performed. During the pandemic, when they opened up to provide in person treatment, I have been fully apprised of safety protocols before going to the clinic and know fully what to expect. My well-being and safety is evident from before I walk into the door. Upon entering, I am to sanitize and complete Covid related forms and I’m seated with appropriate partitioning from other patients. Once in the treatment room masks are Worn at all times and I have absolutely no concerns that the staff at the clinic are well versed in what is required of them so that their and their patients’ health and Covid related concerns are held paramount. I wholeheartedly recommend the clinic and am not at all surprised that they have been voted #1 in New West many times over. Keep up the good work !

Fantastic experience: I have been going for physiotherapy for several months now and the front end staff as well as my physiotherapist Mandeep are always friendly and professional. They clearly advertise their COVID policies and when I was there they strictly followed them. I felt safe and I was most appreciative that I could still get my much needed treatment and not have to endure months of pain waiting for COVID to end. Thank you!

Negative experience: This location won't accept frontline healthcare workers who care for Covid-19 patients, then go so far as to tag their negative reviews as spam and accuse them of damaging their business. Classy! Other Physiotherapists have said that this behaviour is completely unacceptable. It's a shame that this business doesn't support the people who are risking their lives by caring for our loved ones in this time of need and uncertainty. Enjoy another "business damaging" 1-star review. You've earned it!

Negative experience: After waiting almost three weeks for treatment for an injury sustained at work, I was refused treatment on the day of my appointment. Why? Because I’m a nurse that takes care of COVID 19 positive patients. I’ve never experienced this at any other business, especially one staffed by health care professionals, who should know better how to accurately assess true risk present when wearing proper PPE, as well as the ethical commitments of a health care profession. I spoke to the manager and apparently none of the 4 physios working would see me, as they had decided their stance months ago when presented with a similar decision. Disappointing that they have decided this, and disappointing that they did not inform me of this 3 weeks ago when I made the appointment. My response to this clinic’s reply - If you see a description of a client’s experiences as an attempt to damage your clinic, perhaps some self reflection and policy change is in order. You say you’re doing your best to stay open and help all your clients? This isn’t your best. Fortunately, not all physiotherapy or medical clinics refuse to see front line health care workers.Thankfully, your neighboring business, West Coast Medical Imaging, didn’t refuse me their services. It would be one thing if I had covid or signs or symptoms of it, in which case I wouldn’t dream of coming in to the clinic. True, the manager did offer tele health services, but how useful is telehealth physiotherapy in an acute phase of injury? Perhaps later on in treatment, ie, when one is just checking in on how exercises are going, but not when manual therapy is needed. Again, no other business I’ve encountered treats front line health care workers like this, not my eye doctor, my dentist, my GP, my OB, my RMT, laboratory services, nor other physiotherapy clinics. Your clinic is the exception.

Negative experience: How does one vote zero? They refused care and treatment to frontline healthcare workers. Given the circumstances, frontline healthcare workers are essential in treating and caring for the critically ill. Disappointing to have such a business not do their part. A negative review is not spam. It is an opportunity to evaluate your practice and improve your service

Fantastic experience: I got an accident in June this year. The location of Royal City Health and Manual Therapy was convenient for me. There were sufficient parking spots in the mall as well. My last session of massage therapy was done in the last week. Also, the last session of physiotherapy was finished in September. After those treatments, I now feel much better than the start. Thanks to my therapists Ernesto and Nicolas. They both worked very professional and did a great job for me. Moreover, all staff at the front desk were really helpful and polite.

Ernesto is very professional, very knowledgeable as well as personable. He knows how to make you feel comfortable and break things down so that you understand. Super professional and knowledgeable, I had my car accident a month ago and the neck pain has been bothering me for a month, after his treatment (in the morning), for the first time in a month, I have no neck pain nor headache after work. My personal experience has been with Ernesto, a wonderful young RMT who has given my aging body some new life with the techniques he administers. Fantastic experience: When I went for my 1st appt., I couldn't move my hip. On a scale of 1-10, my pain was 15. After just one session Mandeep had me mobile and the pain was down to a 2. Three visits later, my hip is fully mobile and pain free. Mandeep is a miracle worker!

Fantastic experience: This is a really nice spacious clinic. The receptionists are very friendly and the Intern Massage Therapist I visit is truly exceptional. She knows exactly what treatment to employ in order to alleviate pain and discomfort. Her treatment is better than most actual RMT treatments I have received at other clinics. This establishment has demonstrated that their primary concern is patient care, not profit, and I truly value and respect a business that takes this approach.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Royal City Manual therapy are helpful and courteous towards the people visiting them for recovery and treatment. The receptionists work around your schedule and not their schedule , taking away any inconvenience it may cause in your busy day. I found Nick especially professional when it came to sharing knowledge about the injury and finding the most comfortable way to deal with it. Never pushing you too hard to re-injure yourself , like the other clinics do , they are always checking to see if your comfortable. ( two thumbs up ) I'm not just saying this after twisting a limb , I actually do extremely hard labor for a living , and I am constantly suffering from severe injuries. I have been to about 5 physio therapy clinics in the past few years and found this one the most effective and professional set up i have ever been to, and will definitely make this my future choice when needed. I also notice that they have a walk in massage therapy as well , I'm surly going to come back even when my claim at wcb is over ! Nils Eric Lindholm

Fantastic experience: I am so glad that I was referred to this clinic. I found the staff to be super friendly. My physiotherapist Pramod is very knowledgable in his field. Dry needling seems to be his specialty. I am glad he introduced me to that treatment option. My RMT Mike has been great. I have never had an RMT like Mike. He is the only RMT who was able to get my shoulder/arm moving. I really like how they collaborate with each other when treating same clients. Mike has a long waitlist...but thankfully the front staff take the extra effort to call me any time there is a cancellation. Because of all of them I am able to pursue my life long dream. I can't thank them enough.

I have osteoarthritis and Nick's advice, treatment, and kind approach helps me keep focused and positive regarding what I can do, (emphasis on "CAN DO") to keep my quality of life moving forward, literally!
