Fantastic experience: I just had the most amazing Craniosacral Therapy with RMT Shelby highly recommend booking! I also see Dr. Ava and she is helping me with hormonal stuff and gave me an iron infusion! I see both Vanessa and Yihe for acupuncture and they’re both amazing. Vanessa is a wizard with the Gua Sha and Yihe does Five Element style to balance my mood and energy. I’ve seen Emma for Intuitive Reiki and she is incredible.

Fantastic experience: This place really is truly integrated health in all the ways the are so valuable to me as a human. I have had amazing massages, acupuncture and cupping for various creaks and injuries I am nurturing. Katrina (RMT) and Venessa (acupuncturist) are both extremely personable and professional, and also great at their various crafts. I also received clinical counselling through Michelle who helped me transition through some sticky life things and I am better for it. The Yoga studio is amazing and my favorite feature here is the licorice tea offered while you wait. I cant say enough good things about this place. **********

I love the choice of music, the scents, free herbal tea lol This time, I'd like to praise Jessica Hume, my all time favorite massage specialist. She's performing fantastic massages for deep muscle relaxation. Amazingly, last week she exceeded all expectations by reducing my double chin. That was some kinda sorcery (aka lymphatic drainage massage). Highly recommended!

I’ve never had a bad massage, but the ones from Sachiell are next level amazing. I’ve been going to Local Health for about 4 years now and will continue to do so as long as possible. Fantastic experience: I recently got a monthly pass here and I love the lunch time class (good time of day and length) and appreciate that they have different class styles each day. Try Doaa’s classes in particular, she has been a highlight for me and is a wonderful yoga teacher. I’ve taken her classes and workshops at various different studios/locations and her classes are great. She has a strong knowledge of trauma informed practices and it makes her an excellent teacher. Her restorative class is the best!

Being very active, especially with my aggressive running on the trails, Her incredible knowledge and skill always leads down the road of feeling better with each visit. Positive experience: Been to Local Health Integrative Clinic several times to see their naturopaths. They offer a range of services (acu, chiro, RMT’s, RCC’s, dietitian and osteopath) along with yoga and movement classes. Interesting that they’ve started a student naturopathic medicine community clinic ($10 to $50 sliding scale). Seen Dr. Wendy Romano for prolotherapy and trigger point injection therapy ($240 initial, $150/160 follow-up) and cold laser therapy ($175 initial, $115/165 follow-up). Depending on the area, you may pay additional fees. Treatments have been okay but very subtle. My partner has seen Dr. Robyn Land for several gua sha facials ($130 for 45 min). During her last visit, the practitioner was late and only treated her for 30 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Today I had the Brazilian Lymphatic Massage with Sophie Brown and it was amazing!! The treatment is full body and all encompassing which I really loved. Sophie is diligent and takes extra care to make sure you are comfortable before, during and after the treatment. Immediately after the treatment I noticed a reduction in bloating and water retention. There was even about an inch of loose space around the bra area where I had been holding a lot of fluid. I would highly recommend! I had the opportunity to meet Nicole for her tailored treatment of facial massage. She uses hot towels and a blend of Swedish techniques with tools to release tension and dissolve stress. I would highly recommend this clinic and Nicole!

Fantastic experience: I loved this place. What a unique environment to have my Nuceiva treatment done. I’ve never felt that relaxed during a session before. Nurse Michelle was very careful, kind and professional. I’ve never had a treatment that was that painless. Thanks Nurse Michelle!! Can’t wait till these kick in in a few days.

Positive experience: I LOVE this clinic. It's amazing to have so many services all in one place. Been going here for yoga classes and massages for the past year and a half and have always had wonderful experiences. Yoga instructors and massage therapists are such positive, caring staff. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I haven't had as great of an experience with the naturopathic services due to lack of communication or follow up. Also, the walls are quite thin, so during a massage you may hear talking/laughter/sounds from outside during your treatment. But overall, big fan of Local Health and am always looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: Jessica Hume is my RMT and has been for the last two years. She makes you feel comfortable and provides an exceptional treatment alongside homecare advice tailored to your concerns. I have always had issues with my neck/shoulder and she has improved these concerns massively. If you are unsure of what RMT to book, Jessica is definitely the one !!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. If you have Covid they don’t care. Charge you anyways. Will never return.

Negative experience: Would not recommend the self-massage yoga therapy and yoga Nidra workshop unless you already know yoga and don’t have a disability.

Fantastic experience: I've been a client of Local Health for years now and when they moved to the new space and added a yoga studio I was so excited! They have the absolute best yoga teachers!!! I cannot recommend this studio highly enough. It's the best yoga studio in Vancouver!

Fantastic experience: I have been to this clinic many times and have always had a pleasurable experience. From massage therapy with Nicole to joining in on different yoga classes, I always leave feeling refreshed. The clinic itself is a beautiful, bright and comfortable space. The fact that they have parking as well as easy street parking is very convenient. Kirstin who is the clinic manager helped me select the different vitamins to best suit my needs (they have a great selection) which was super appreciated. They also have local goodies for sale. I bought some cute shorts! Thanks so much again. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Local Health for the past five years on and off for a variety of different services and movement classes. At this clinic I have encountered many wonderful practitioners who are patient, kind and empathetic. Most recently I have been enjoying a yin yoga practice in the movement studio, lead by Nicole and Phoenix. Both excellent at holding space for deeper connection to self. More recently I have also had RMT services with Tanisha and Nicole, each using a different approaches to deep relaxation and restoration. I would highly recommend both of them. Thank you Local Health for the wonderful services that you offer.

Negative experience: The facial acupuncture with Michelle had come recommended by a friend of mine and I was excited to try it for myself. Unfortunately my first appointment was canceled because Michelle had the flu. No problem! Except I was informed mid afternoon for a 545PM appointment. Fine we rebooked for the following Wednesday 3PM. 30 minutes before my appointment time the receptionist calls to inform me there was a scheduling error and to see if I can come for 545PM instead. When I say I can't she proceeds to call someone else to see about moving their appointment to accommodate me at 345PM. I called back and said don't bother. This was disrespectful towards me and my time. The rest of the clinic may be great but this experience soured me completely and I don't need more of my time wasted.

Fantastic experience: Sachie is an authentic, gifted RMT- a healer with magical hands. She listens closely to the mind/body/spirit and responds with the perfect, most nurturing treatment. She uses a wide spectrum of skills acquired through experience and advanced training; from very subtle cranio-sacral work to intense, deep techniques. She offers with just the right level of communication, and creates a trusting, serene ambiance that enables deep relaxation and healing. Her excellent suggestions to improve health through exercises and adjustments to habits have helped alleviate many chronic issues. My experience over many years with her has been consistently exceptional. A truly caring professional offering powerful healing results. I book well in advance to ensure the time I want with her is available.

Fantastic experience: Jodie Pulsifier, is one of the most compassionate health care providers I have ever encountered. After seven years of incontinence related to birth injury and complications, and after dr's and bladder classes, she was the one who worked with me and my body in order to troubleshoot appropriately. Pelvic floor PT is not just kegels ---- it's ALOT more than that, and she has quite a few tricks up her sleeve. She is generous with her time and really loves what she does --- and that makes a huge difference these days. Bonus points for being LGBT Friendly and Body Positive/Accessibility Aware.

Fantastic experience: At first I started going to Local Health because the location was convenient but the new space on Clark is so soothing, calming and welcoming. The light is fantastic and the atmosphere is inclusive, and open hearted. You can tell the minute you walk in that you'll enjoy your time and feel rejuvenated either by their yoga classes or treatments. I always look forward to my appointments.

Fantastic experience: Amazing space!! All the staff are lovely. I see Michelle Zeigler (registered councilor) and to say she is amazing is an understatement. For me, she provides control, courage, and willingness to open up and hash things out. She is open and kind, and also willing to test my way of thinking. She is young, which I think allows her to help me in a new, modern way. There is no "well how does that make you feel" with Michelle. She provides ideas, solutions, references and educational material to challenge me and help me even when I am not in a session with her. This collective of professionals offers so much in one space, from different types of yoga classes, acupuncture, massage and so much more. Makes it easy to take advantage of multiple services. Go here, get well, be happy! May 23, 2023- I want to shout out Katrina Milette and also Michelle Vautour for their amazing work. Katrina is a very skilled RMT who will listen to you and make you feel like a million bucks after your appointment. Michelle V. has helped me tremendously with my anxiety and I appreciate her work more than I can express. Her ability to use acupuncture is an amazing skill and she is very kind and supportive through and through. I have seen multiple ladies here at this practice and they are all so wonderful!

Fantastic experience: I've been obsessed with local health since I came for my first baby and me yoga class. I take their yoga and pilates, see my acupuncturist Judy, see Robyn the amazing owner, and go to their insanely cool workshops. It's such a welcoming and zen space; I can't help but tell all my friends and family about it. My favourite one so far has been the art therapy series! I'm so happy I finally found a place like this. I’ve been treated by Dr Land and her staff for many years - I originally went because it was convenient: close to my home and they direct billed with my insurance. And now I can say I would never go anywhere else for anything unless I had to; and as the clinic and business has expanded, so has the treatment selection and practitioner specializations, and so now, I very rarely have to look elsewhere. Vanessa is a great acupuncturist, Katrina is one of the best RMTs ever - both of them have helped me with chronic pain that I thought ai’d have to live with forever. Dr Land has built an incredible business and moreover, a beautiful community at local health co. Their clinical counselling bench is great, the yoga and community events are fun. A friendly and accepting space for all, with a gentle and caring focus on accessible and comfortable healthcare for persons with a cervix. I have experienced multiple times the true difficulty and frustration of navigating the healthcare system as a ciswoman (and I know it’s only more isolating and dehumanizing for my trans neighbours), and local health co and their team have countered that experience with compassion, generosity and thoughtfulness. I have always felt heard, supported, and cared for here - truly listened to and acknowledged for my concerns and thoughts about what I experience in my body. Dr Land is an amazing doctor, and she has done a truly special and impressive job at hiring a team of staff who are the same. I cannot recommend local health co enough. After over 7 years of being a patient, I have run out of people in my life to recommend this place to, and so I am finally sharing it here, so that maybe someone will see this also decide it seems like a place for them.

Her strength and gentleness create a safe experience which encourages exploration and expression of our deepest emotions. While talking & writing are beneficial to help integrate the changes that arise, DM goes so much deeper than any other therapy I’ve tried. I also love the freedom DM offers - to maintain my own practice in between facilitated sessions with Jandy.

Fantastic experience: I had my initial visit with Dr. Land yesterday, all I can say was that she was absolutely fantastic. She really took the time to listen to all of my health issues and was able to come up with an explanation as to why I am undergoing some of these issues with my health. We were able to get a plan in place, and never once during my session did I ever feel rushed, misheard or judged. I am looking forward to continuing my check-ups with her and getting my mental health and physical health back in shape with her help and support. Thank you Dr. Land!

Fantastic experience: I had a Dalian Method session by Jandy Anderson a year ago. At that time I was struggling with feeling alone, looping negative thoughts, anger, and escapism. I know the power of the Dalian Method because I've been using it for years. Having Jandy facilitate me was such a huge bonus. With Jandy's help I saw what the root of my negativity was. I was thinking I was having these certain problems, but they were just excuses coming from my mind because what I was actually afraid of was my own light and inner joy and power. I was also tolerating other people's negativity towards me because I was afraid to be alone and stand up for myself. Jandy helped me transform my fears so that I could step into that spontaneous joy and light that was already growing within me. I also experienced much more silence since this session. Jandy's Dalian Method session has shifted me into a new space and I don't have that looping negativity. I feel so much more enjoyment in my daily life and am embracing more confidence. I'm also noticing that I'm not afraid to speak up and be seen and heard. I stand up for myself pretty easily now. I can be happy on my own so I don't tolerate situations that don't feel right for me. Thank you Dalian Method. And thank you Jandy. I highly recommend Jandy as a facilitator. She is wise, kind, sensitive and just all around an amazing human.

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of having a session with Jandy Anderson this week. I came in with a heavy heart and left feeling like I had released tension and became conscious of the energy blocks in my body. The format of this practice really allows you to find the answers from within. This gave me the power to help myself rather than expecting or wishing for someone else to heal my pain. The homework was the second challenge that pushed me out of my usual self defeating habits and gave me the courage to take actions to clear away my blockages. Since Monday I have completed my homework and feel so incredibly refreshed and renewed from the experience. I was really nervous before the appointment, but Jill made me feel comfortable straight away. Not only did I come out of my appointment feeling relaxed and pain-free (my chief complaint was headaches/pain in shoulders & neck), it was actually enjoyable! After appointments with Fiona my worries are always put to ease and I am comforted by her confidence in finding solutions. Fantastic experience: It is an honour to be a patient of Jenny Abel's. Her acupuncture technique, reflection and caring helped me to heal through a difficult transition. Fantastic experience: Jill treated me for insomnia and depression, and I couldn't be happier with the results. As a previous skeptic I nonetheless left the acupuncture session with a sense of weightlessness that I hadn't felt in years, and it has persisted ever since. Fantastic experience: I have seen several practitioners at Local (previously Catalyst) . I have never had a bad experience. This year i started seeing Fiona Smulders when my previous Natropath moved to the Island. I was slightly nervous as my old ND had seen me through quite a lot, however I am more than happy with Fiona.
